Christianity Etc › Re: Why Deeper Life Turned Down Gej’s Request To Visit Church During Campaign by Chiaka(f): 1:30pm On May 21, 2015
Why turn down a president! anyways na them sabi. In those days prophets go to kings when they have message from God Almighty for them and not kings to prophets, but nowadays the reverse is the case............Nigerians carry too much religion on their head and less of God. The reason politicians feels they can easily get them at religious places.

lalasticlala:
A Nairalander sent me this mail. Let's help him with useful advice.

Below is the exact message, the way it came:

"Why Igbo Can't Marry Yoruba

Though we have been facing so many challenges about this before but we overcome it . they use to tell my lady, HE CAN"T MARRY U but when they all see how serious we are(Preparing for Traditional Marriage) then they came up with, IF HE MARRY U AFTER TWO KIDS HE WILL STILL MARRY HE"S TRIBE. I'm Yoruba guy while my lady is Igbo. What should i do but i love her, mean love her."

Please, if you have any useful and mature response to his message, don't hesitate to give him. Please no tribal bashings ooo. Thanks. He will be reading it..
If you both love each other big time and compatible, Go ahead! Have some friends as such and they are doing just fine.
Forget all this tribal sentiment. ......but if you are a tribalist then No need because your marriage will hit the rock in the near future because of sentiment reason or you start judging each other action or relative actions based on tribal judgement or sentiment.

Here is another version of the story! Don't think about Hausa per say and persons dead if any where not mentioned;

by Abiodun Nejo

…soldiers deployed, police sue for peace

Three persons were feared killed in the violence that broke out between drivers’ union and butchers in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, yesterday.

Several others, who were injured in the fracas, were rushed to undisclosed hospitals in the state capital where they are receiving treatment.

Hoodlums had a field day as they vandalised and looted offices, shops and market stalls while the violence lasted.

Traders and residents scampered for safety as the opposing parties in the violence wielded guns, machetes, swords and other dangerous weapons.

No fewer than five vehicles belonging to the drivers were vandalized, just as banks and other shops in the area could not open for business.

Trouble started yesterday morning, when some commercial drivers were said to have accused the butchers of harbouring fraudsters duping unsuspecting residents in the state capital. This followed the alleged refusal of the butchers to surrender a man alleged to have duped a woman said to be the wife of one of the drivers.

Sources traced the genesis of the crisis to the activities of the fraudsters who duped a woman, who happened to be a driver’s wife, of N36,000 on Tuesday at the Old Garage area of the capital city.

Unconfirmed sources said the woman was also raped by the culprits in the process.

Following the incidence, members of the driver’s union were said to have gone to the spot noted as hideout of the fraudsters at the Old Garage area to demand for the person responsible.

The refusal of the butchers to pinpoint the culprit led to hostilities between the drivers and the butchers, as dangerous weapons were freely used by both sides.

It took the intervention of the new Police Commissioner, who have just assumed duties in the state on Tuesday, Mr Etop John James, who led scores of both regular and mobile policemen to the trouble spots before the mob retreated.

The police boss, while addressing the warring factions at Old Garage and Atikankan, expressed regrets over the incidence and vowed to restore normalcy in no time.

James said he had just resumed in Ado-Ekiti on the orders of the IGP over the spate of kidnapping and other heinous crimes in the state.

However, the spokesman for the police in the state, Mr Alberto Adeyemi, said only four persons sustained injuries in the crisis and were being attended to at the Police Clinic at Okesa in Ado Ekiti.

hopilo:
I met a Inner caucus Member of APC From Akwa Ibom today, He contested and lost the House of Reps elections in March. As our discussion centered around fighting corruption by the incoming government, He made this Startling revelation on what transpire in Uyo during Buhari's visit during the campaign period.
On arrival in Uyo he said, the APC Governorship candidate Mr Umana Umana decided that the entourage visit his Mansion in Uyo, according to the guy a master piece of a building.
Immediately Buhari entered the House, he questioned the source of his wealth. Mr Umana had earlier told Buhari in a different fora that he has been a seasoned Civil servant all his life including serving in previous government.
Buhari had to remind him of his earlier claim as a Civil servant and told him that it is had to believe that a civil servant in Nigeria can own this massive mansion and follow up with this final question "Are you sure you are not corrupt"?. then Mr Umana according to the guy replied Your excellency I am not ooooo.
If this actually transpire, then Buhari seem serious in fighting corruption and I won't be surprise if he starts with his party members. We must end corruption.

If you reside in Uyo, please can you post picture of this Mansion.
Heard the same was done to Okoroca of Imo State............never heard he asked any northern Governor that silly question.. Rubbbbish

Former Governor of Osun state Chief Bisi Akande in an interview with TUNDE ODESOLA, rubbishes President Goodluck as He refers to him as the worst president Nigeria ever had.

" What parting shot do you have for President
Goodluck Jonathan?
Jonathan is the worst President Nigeria has
ever had. When we go to bed in the night
we are not sure what would happen in the
morning, whether one is going to be carried
away by kidnappers or assassins. I didn’t
see any transformation agenda. If you want
me to go anywhere now I am afraid. No
security. As a President, if you cannot
handle security you’re a failure. Nigerians
ruled him out."

Hello dear the approach failed because of corruption which was exploited by the investors. The moment every realise its not business as usual they will seat tight and do the needful. Good example is billing customers for light not distributed (estimated billing) and selling the existing obsolete PHCN infrastructure to their cronies rather than instructing them to invest in their own infrastructure which is more logical in best practise. wink
Good point. In any case GMB's administration should take power as one of the paramount thing to achieve if he does this will worth more than a million things achieved. Thanks

Fight against corruption will take care of power because corruption is what is killing our power sector Shikena!!
Yes corruption place apart their approach to the problem is another. The change from NITEL to GSM phone was a success amid corruption.
Approach to power reform has been a major problem, it happened in Obsanjo time, and history repeated itself in Goodluck time so if GMB can achieve this will be a major milestone, security & power is what is top on a lot of peoples mind now.

embarassed My brother u have nothing to regret.
Every region have there own problems. Sometimes people from the south which they are from the north too.
You people from the north have to start teaching your people from childhood how to love non Muslims. Life is sacred and must be valued.
I remember when boko haram were bombing churches, many people from the north were celebrating them even in social medias because they were killing Christians.
