I see some people have eyes for your money, be careful. when you have settled for something to do, do some apprenticeship( work for someone already in the business, this will help you understand the business more and help you start well otherwise you could end up biting your fingers) if the business is entirely new in Nigeria make some research and get good business mentors. someone who has been successful in a business is going to be better as mentor. wish you well.

Business › Re: What Small Buisness Can I Start With N500,000? by Chiaka(f): 10:07am On Oct 09, 2009
Dont go into a business you dont have control of. Dont do the forex thing with the last life money you have. It is  highly risky and alot of people have had their fingers burnt by high yield schemes like this. Do something you understand well enough or have trained yourself in, you can go
into some apprenticeship (work for someone in similar business you intend going into in order to understand before starting yours).
Business › Re: What Small Buisness Can I Start With N500,000? by Chiaka(f): 10:00am On Oct 09, 2009
Please dont hurridly put the money into a business until you are sure of a good business that can survive and yield with 500K. Meanwhile bank the 500K in a reliable bank, I mean fix it, Will yield you a little Interest Until you are clear of what to use it for. Do your home work well. I wish you success.

Romance › Re: Is There A Man Shortage? by Chiaka(f): 1:11am On Dec 27, 2008
What you think, is what you get. If you think there is man shortage so it will be for you, and if you think the other way round so it will be. There are bad guys, worse guys and worst guys and there are good guys, better guys and best guys. Focus on yourself, become something, use your head, be quite reserved and stop killing yourself over guys. look good and feel good and be optimistics, good guys will naturally fall in.

Family › Re: Caught My Husband From Cheating :/ by Chiaka(f): 8:45pm On Dec 20, 2008
I cant say much because its one side of the story we have here. He probably has a dozen reason why he is jumping around with other women
A typical Nigerian man wants to be respected by his wife and some complain European ladies treat them like rags and only wants them for sex, I hope your man does not feel same about you. Every man wants to be loved for who and what they are and not just for their dick, food for thought.
Try find out why he is doing what he is doing now (I hope he opens up to you), after all if it's just for the papers he should behave himself till he is through with it, like you explained he is yet to get all his document, more so he was normal at first. He probably feels hez been putting up with some things about you he really dislikes and now feels he should no longer and find happiness elsewhere, and an available former sweetheart might just be the rescue. I hope you were not making him feel indebted to you because you knew he needed you to get his document. Sorry if I sound hard, I understand how you feel and I am not an advocate of infidelity. I simply like looking at both sides of the coin.

Try farming if you can get some good land in your village even if its on lease but try acquiring the land if you can. There's food shortage in Nigeria and Food is expensive in Nigeria. People don’t want to farm here because most people's mentality here is that farming is meant for the poor and suffering while in the real sense farming can be very lucrative of well harnessed. You don’t necessarily have to do the planting/Harvesting pay some young able men to do the job who need it to pay school fees or settle some bills.

you can open a dom account and then make the transfer but the dom account has to be opened in the currency you want to make the transfer. If you dont want to go over the process of opening a dom account then
If its dollars u want to transfer I can be of help anyway if u are in PH, thats where I stay, u just give me the naira equivalent of the dollar. otherwise forget it, wont help if u're in any other location in Nigeria that will be cumbersome. And note that bank wire transfer takes like 2/5 working days to get to the recipient. cheers!!

Business › Re: I Want To Improve In My Cyber-cafe Business by Chiaka(f): 3:12pm On Jul 19, 2007
little advice - A nice interior generally. Has to look neat and bright, well air-condition, quite spacious wouldn’t like sitting shoulder to shoulder with other customers, nice and comfortable seat and have to be recliner seats in case I need to sleep so all I need do is stretch the seat out. Then fast and stable internet connectivity. Flat screen monitor and good looking other accessories not old looking monitors, keyboard, mouse etc. A good Earpiece to listen to some music or make PC to PC calls and of course a nice looking clear webcam. Then It has to be the cheapest in town. Then no other cyber will sell but yours!!! grin

@my2cents : you got it wink

but that's what alot of programmers here in nija don't think of. Infact it's one of thereasons why i came up with this question. they always try to impose their ideas on their clients irrespective of whether it suits the solution to their problems or not. I believe the end user interface is basically the most important part of your program to the client because that's what he sees and communicates with. the engine is not his problem.

@aisha2: Hope programs will be embedded in your projects soon. and always get the question before an anwser. lol
If you have any programmer giving you a heck of time please contact me, will either make him do the job for you well or make you smile by taking over the job myself, especially when it has to do with business and management software irrespective of the industry.

Both- the user and the developer. The user because you need to satisfy their demand and then yourself because man must wack.

joftech ! what in the world is your problem? What are you doing? encouraging yourself and those who care to share your opinion that a university degree and especially in Nigeria is not worth it. If that’s your thinking then no where in the world is it worth it.
Everyone out of the university still have to add value to their life by improving on or acquiring additional skill after graduation, it’s the same all over the world whether you school in Nigeria or not. Wake up! Stop excusing yourself and get some schooling it pays in many ways even if you hope to or you already running your own business. By the way you dint tells us whether or not you are running your own business or still working with that cyber cafe where you started your life.

Talking about Bill gates, yes! he isn't a university graduate doesn't mean he never took part. He dint complete his university degree and record shows he was doing very well while at the university. He dropped out of the university to face his programming life not seating at cyber café reading encyclopaedias. In any case he was enrolled in and been thought by lectures for the period he was there. Wake up! and get yourself strengthened up. You’re talking like you’re comparing yourself with bill gates, ok, tell us, what have you achieved and how did you get there? we're talking about peoples experiences on "Starting a business" the ups and down! . Stay in and not out of focus.

i know few things about this company and its structures so far they have shown all the trappings of a very ambisious company who want to put their name on the map although still new they have managed to raise =N=700,000,000 from the nigerian market in its initial public offer . one thing i am ok with is saftey of principal as first bank trustees are the backbone to the fund and they got approval from NSE to get quoted ,,this investment is good for any wise investor
I am waiting for answers too would like to know more , how viablehuh? let me know when you have some info.
