Ok let us humor you and agree to your critique....But we don't think the alternative is Buhari maybe Fashola but most definitely NOT Buhari, because to be sincere Nigerians are feeling the transformation..there is almost steady power supply, cheap foodstuffs are abound, transportation has been excellent, economic diversification on point with its positive effect of boosting revenue, aid industrialization and put money in our pockets via employement (at this rate we should be hosting a World Cup!)..all of these despite the fall of the naira due to almost freefall price of crude oil and its global negative effect(the Euro has fallen into an 11 year all time low). Nigerians cannot be decieved nor SCAMMED by sentimental half-lies into supporting a dyed in wool bigot whose old age and illiteracy has been taken into consideration pending the relinqueshment of office via physical or mental impairment as a result old senility by a cabal (consisting chiefly of former pdp members and other corrupt entites) who are keen on the oil blocs, oil contracts, petroleum import licenses, fertilizer contract imbezzlement,National theatre acquisition, ministerial positions, federation account, foreign external reserves, tax revenues, custom revenues, tollgate on thirdmainland bridge and not to the people, especially those chanting 'sai buhari' and 'change'..."the devil we know is better than the angel we don't know"

We can't forget the past. Because that's the reason why we are so backward now.

Well GEJ regime is better,
Why?

For the first time we had and have free and fair elections.
The Nigerian Content Act (Local Content Act)
Is making little millionaires in the Oil and Gas Sector.
Most Federal roads have received attention in this period.

Railway is working

Scholarships to First class graduates, apart from other scholarship programmes.
YouWin and Sure-P GIScheme.

NAPSAS programme.

Facelift and upgrade of airport facilities

14 new federal Universities.

150 Almajiri schools.

Oweto and Niger bridges under construction

National Auto Policy, Peugeot is back, Nissan,Kia/Hyundai, Innosons, Soon to arrive Toyota etc.

These are the few I can remember,
We still have challenges
In the areas of Power - But we have improved slightly and hopefully we'll continue.

Nobody is Perfect.

But I would rather have an imperfect Man rule me, that respects the rule of law.

Than one that doesn't care.
am not a card carrying member of apc nor pdp all i live to witness is a better nigeria where things will work for us all.

Dude you think what's happening in the North is unconnected with the fact that some people want power to move to a certain area

Even APC presidential candidates mostly fulfilled this "Born to Rule" Mentality
If we were not @ War (With the Haramite), surely we would have made more progress.

Even regardless we are still moving...

If you know our History You'll understand.

Nigeria has been ruled by the Northerners since 1960 majority of the time, why is it still their turn?

They have most of the Oil Wells, Super Rich Few but Very poor uneducated masses.

Apart from Obj, which was some sort of mistake... after Murtala died, and GEJ after Yar'adua died.

I keep saying Boko Haram fighters are not Spirits, they have Family members!!!
well acknowledged, but u see let us forget all those days of military rule, they hardly consider constitution in there dealing, now that we are in democratic rule, the yoruba had had there chance from 1999-2007,the north also had there chance though not up to 4years,here we are with GEJ from south south for 6years now ,tell me who is better of them all considering the number of years spent.

It is obvious Pa Buhari is not in touch with the
present day Nigeria!
Well General local rice production is about 50% and
the FG saved about #500billion on rice importation
last year. Ask your brothers up north in paddy
farms for details.
The FG annouced just last week they are stopping
the importation of Tomato paste to improve and
increase local capacity.
Do you have an idea of the present administration's
agricultural revolution? What your campaign team
needs to focus on are new ideas and possibilities
instead of flogging the proverbial dead horse.
The truth is the Retired General has nothing new to
offer all he mentioned in yesterday's prepared
speech is already in progress and the only thing the
Nigerian populace would have voted him for was his
"kwaruption" stance which he has quickly pull the
drain on by saying "he wont probe past
governments".
Only advice from a concerned citizen "retire in
peace and stop being drawn by the strings of the
master puppeteer".
mere promise but aganga states in 2011 that importation of fuel will stop by 2014 according to report, mind u we are in 2015.
Politics / Re: I’ll Ban Importation Of Rice, Tomato If Elected –Buhari by chibas: 12:28pm On Feb 03, 2015
kettykin:
The ban if not preceded with massive investment in the production of rice and tomato in very sufficient quantities will lead to scarcity of the products and an increase in price.

The economic hardship of the ordinary nigerian would blow out of proportion followed with starvation and economic hermorhage as a result of smuggling of the banned goods.
No mention was made of the ban in importation of palm oil which is presently being imported with subsidy of N 24th paid for the import, this is a clear case flawed , lopsided economic policy .

A great economic policy rather than ban would massively encourage the local production of rice and tomato , increase tariff on the import of the same while with improved infrastructure and financial incentives encourage the local producers of rice and tomatoes to export their products
u just shoot urself in the leg same u that said the ban of importation of rice and tomatoes will result to inflation what will also happen if he increase tariff will it not also result to high cost? Guy yhink.

in the united states, townhall meetings are crucial but debate is compulsory because it is recognised in the constitution and that is why you have the united states commission of presidential debates.the commission is non partisan in its duties.

it is not like here when anyone can just decide to do debate and probably the underdog candidate jumps more at it.

look at in 2011, jonathan did not bother to debate because he probably felt more confident of his chances.

it is okay to debate but it is not compulsory and a lot of things determine victory at the polls not one.

Absolute rubbish!!

Now its obvious the APC are not tired of talking to themselves. A town hall meeting where 99% attendees will be party supporters organised by their party men and women.

A situation where Buhari and Osinbajo will not face on the spot scrutiny and broad appraisal without party sentiments. Always swimming in their comfort zone. The so called town hall meeting is not different from the rallies being done so far. This guys just want us to go for election without us having something concrete to hold them to. Its so unfortunate.

Have we not seen even governorship debates before in various state. Politics is about our choice based on superior ideas. Now after the so called town hall meeting held today, have the media been able to report any meaningful thing?

Town hall meetings are ok but it can never be substituted for debates in the developed countries.

Reasons:

1. You said it yourself, it's a dick measuring contest, we the people want to know the candidate with the bigger balls. Now, you could say the "general" has more cojones but he has decided to turn tail and run, twice.

2. We want to see the candidates, and compare their policies, ideas and strategies. Show me what you got that makes you a better option than the other guy.

3. We the people need to know their personal take on issues that are important to us like the economy, religion, security, state creation, the confab, resource control, etc. Yeah, they can do that at d town halls but not the same when their opponent is there, they feel relaxed in town halls.

4. You can easily spot and access how each of the candidates will perform under pressure on live TV, there is no better way to know a person's true character until they are under pressure. That is when their true character will reveal itself.

5. We want to see these guys spar intellectually, show us your are smarter than the other guy. Show us you can be creative and innovative.

6. We want to know the issues that are close to the heart of the candidates. We want to read their body language as they respond and be able to say this is what this guy truly cares about.

I could go on. So please enlighten me why this guy feels he can ignore a debate and still win. If this was the US, a candidate running away from a debate twice, that's it for that candidate. He is done and gone.

what if they get there and keep giving u false hope and empty promise with there sweet composed english grammar will that change the reality on ground?to fix nigeria and get it working is what we need regardless of the party.
.mind u to fix nigeria no be by grammar.

Buhari will not debate simple. I have said it here several times, he has a lot to cover up. You would have noticed that he reads prepared speach these days and cant be allowed to consult his image consultants before answering any live debate questions.
This town hall meeting was an afterthought because the first excuse given was that there was possibility of baise from the organiser. When a more independent bodies agreed to organise the debate, see another maradona excuse. Like I earlier said, it will be too late before many of you screaming change realise that you have entered one chance.
please why do u guys hype this question and answer session as debate?mind u this man in question has been there in the previous year.
