They will apply for change of status and only attend school on approval.

Check library, testing center, hostels, maintenance, administrative offices etc

Oh God I need your favor at this point of my life. I have 5 Msc admissions already but waiting for assistantship from my various departments.

I can't imagine being in Nigeria for another 1 year just because of unable to get assistantship. God knows depression will set in if I can't make anything out of the 5 schools that admitted me, after all the effort.

I will wait for my schools to decide but if they didn't give I will still find way and move.

If the embassy does the rescheduling. You still have your chances.

And any further change in date will require a new mrv payment.

You will.get job in the US school does not matter it is you that matters beside with PhD you have pleeeeeenty things lined especially if you are in STEM.

Deans offices
Bursary department
IT office
Media
Tutorial Unit
Labs
Student hostels
And the list goes on and on

Look for the career listing page of your school, then narrow to GA.

Because some people might consider non-stem courses a waste of time especially as an international student in the US. HR is a non-stem course, but it has decent career prospects to me. And I never get funding o. I keep in touch with the department in case any assistanship position is vacant so I can apply.

No good school in the US will require you to pay part of your tuition before sending your i20 form. That's robbery... Looks like a one man building school that may have fallen out of accreditation even though they still provide SEVIS ID..

If you did a stem course. You will definitely get a job.
What people usually do in masters (I don't know of PhD). From the last 6months of their course, they start looking for job. If they don't find. They take an extra semester (remember most course need a minimum of 30 credit to complete, but you can take up to 59).that extra semester gives you additional 6months to look for job. If you still don't find. Activate your opt. You get additional 90days to find a job.

Every thing in this life na risk. No risk no reward. You'd definitely get a job within 1yr and 3months

There are lost of jobs for PhD holders especially in the academia.
If you get a job in a school your H1b is sure in max 2 weeks then you get PR in 1 year for some schools.
Your spouse rides on you at every stage so it is automatic.

scale of 1-100 for both question is 90 for STEM.

Yes you can say he is coming to vist.
so he can either go F2 route of B1/B2 route

My husband comes and goes with F2.

My F1 visa expires in April this year while my husbands F2 is valid till 2024

Maybe your mistaken . No way the u.s consulate need Medicals or have to receive medicals , maybe it’s another country ur talking about

going in front of VO is either in person at an embassy or consulate or do change of status while in the country.

F2 can change to FI… but you have to apply to school, pay out of pocket or get funded.. go in front of the VO to confess your sins (lol) interview and you stand a better chance of getting approved since you already have F2..
There could be other ways, consult your immigration lawyer. My limited opinions are merely advisory. Good luck!

Medicals for USA Study visa??

My sister just returned from an interview....heartbroken. We are sad right now and she's still in tears oh.

She was scheduled for 6.30 am today via email oh after she has done her medicals last week successfully at VI, only for them to tell her that lagosiv.state.gov hasn't received it yet from the medicals. They said it's only when they receive it from them they can interview her. (see oh...even after they have scheduled her for an interview oh). We quickly sent a mail to them, they said they'll reply in 2-3 days time...can you imagine. She has booked a flight already next week....what kind of rubbish is this one again.

Please if someone has a reasonable solution or suggestion...I am hungry for it now to encourage her. She's been crying since she came back oh.

how will your daughter be taken care of when you are doing your activities, especially if she is below 4.
Child care/after school services is not cheap, except she is an American Citizen.
