Me: my uncle will be sponsoring my education
Vo: what does ur uncle do?
Me: he owns the Olawore engineering services limited and also ventured in Real Estate where he about 12 residential buildings, where 8 is located in lagos,2 in Abuja and one each in Ogun and osun states.
Vo: What will you be doing after your studies in the states?
Me: I will be coming back to Nigeria to take up the project engineer position at my dad’s company where I will be responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects

I often apply for Scholarships,so yesterday,I recieved a congratulations email that based on my achievements, I've been offered a $27,000 worth scholarship in Wingate University.

I have some questions;

1. How valid is the school and scholarship,who knows about that or who can help with that?

2. In the email, it's said that I'd pay $300 as enrollment deposit,is that how it's done?

Please I need your words.

Tell them to waive the enrollment deposit or deduct it from your scholarship. Dont ever pay any enrollment deposit because it is non refundable and it does not boost your visa chance. In fact any school with enrollment deposit is a red flag to VO

Happy to Share that it is now one year since my family of four got one F1 and three f2 visas.

We arrived early August and faced some challenges between October and January. This week, I completed my first year of graduate studies and I give God all the glory.

I think the OP was saying that if funding was a determining factor in choosing his school, VO could have seen it as a financial incapacity red flag, since he didnt get fully funded??

I’m not knocking on your optimism… but that OP is seasoned with experience in various fields- Medicine-Politics-Public Policy-Intl Travels-Conferences-MBA-high GRE Score.. He/She is a well-prepared and unique applicant. Hope is not enough.. Do your homework. Good luck!

The next thing, na to serve breakfast after standing for about four hours without even squatting. Also, I observed that four young people before me were also served. I maintained eye contact and treid smiling too.

You had better ask your cousin to go and do the test him/herself! A valid means of identity is required to register for the exam and to enter the exam hall on the day of the exam. Fingerprints are also collected. And digital photographs of the candidates are taken before the exam.
Infact, because of people like you, the ETS had to put all these identity checks in place so that their exam would not become another WAEC or JAMB!

I am so sorry about your friend. If and when your friend is sure of their unavailability to attend the appointment, she could have periodically be on the lookout for future dates that are before August but later than May and reschedule. But since time is not on her side anymore, if she could swap dates with someone with a later appointment that is before August. Otherwise, last option would be to cancel the appointment last minute and be on the lookout for dates subsequently ( ps: I am in need of a Lagos date as my start date is June, so if your friend is willing to help, please let me know)

@everyone, A friend may not be able to attend her interview scheduled for 8th of may, she got the date on first attempt on scheduling, has never resheduled, her classes start August. What steps should she take in order to reschedule. Again will she notify the consular at lagos that she won't be attending due to unforeseen circumstances? Pls advice and suggestions needed. @ Chibertha ✅

Hello house, please my girlfriend was given an admission at Kent State in the US. When we applied for the admission, I used my bank statement and added a letter of support. Now we are trying to submit info to get the I-20. We want to use her father as a sponsor since they bare the same last name and both of them are in Nigeria. I’m a U.S. citizen and an RN. Could both of us, her dad and I be the sponsors or just her father to get the I-20. I haven’t seen an I-20 before. So I don’t know if the sponsors name would be there.

@ everyone, pls must the amount stated on the 120 by the school be the exact amount your sponsor is giving? Can sponsors amount be more? The amount my current sponsor is providing covers the stated amount by the school, I want to add another sponsor who is my husband. Will this impact negatively. Or I should just go also with hubby's bank statement , since he was not mentioned on the 120 as a sponsor. Pls I need urgent advice. N/B I don't have personal funds.

Today, i got a feedback that it was denied. I have sent them an email if they can possibly revisit my case. However, is there sth else i can do?

Please the school I applied for my wife in U.S is asking for GRE test score for them to give her admission for MSC program. The school requires GRE test score because they said her GP is low. Please what can we do about it and what schools in U.S can she get admitted directly with 2.2 without GRE test?

Hello house, please in filling your DS 160, if your children will be traveling with you and they do not need Visa, in the session of "Persons Travelling With You" should you include them or only your Spouse who needs Visa.

Hello guys Im feeling a bit skeptical abt me going for an interview(I dont have a solid date yet) but here is why, I just recieved my I20 and the COA is 45k dollars, now No funding was stated on my i20 but the school offered me funding only on the condition of when I resume in person. Also ny sponsor (my dad) is more than able to pay my tuition and living cost but seeing that lately VO are all abt fundings and all that. Im scared I might not be able to get my visa. Do you think he should pay my tuition of 30k dolls or less to show that we have the funds or he shouldnt pay at all(judging that some schools dont offer refunds ) . please opinions are needed
