makes sense grab it and go. Then start applying for GA in school generally. There are a lot of openings now that the academic year is coming to an end.

Good day everyone,I got a mail from one of the Profs in the dept that gave me offer and said he can waive me out-state tuition and I'll need to pay in-state tuition of 9k/yrs.
Please guys, need your suggestion if this is a good deal. Although,I am still waiting and hoping for a full waiver but this is the feedback I got for know.

Also, does in-state /out-state applies to international students as well? because from what I read online,out-state means residents of other states.

Thanks

Very possible. I did not get either, but I used to check my portal daily then, plus I heard a lot talk about it here. That's why I did not miss mine.

I never received an email. I do check my email every day. Because that's my personal email, which I also use for my daily business.

Yes the embassy cancels appointments and rebooks it if you do not do it.
It happened to me in 2021 but because I was always monitoring my profile and email, I was able to get a favourable date when it happened.
Sorry, next time always monitor your account at least twice a week.

judas001:
I need help, please. Has anyone ever seen this before in this forum? I scheduled my interview since Dec 2022. after working with the school to move my admission to July/August. So with this, I scheduled my interview for early July 2023. Since then I have not login to my profile. I log in this afternoon only to discover multiple interview cancellations on my profile( which obviously were not done by me). And they now scheduled a new date which is around September for me. I'm really surprised, at this point, I don't know what to do or figure out what is going on.
N.B. Nobody has my login info, beside me. I never use an agent or any other person.

Thank you so much for this platform, am new here and I need advice, pls gurus HELP.

I was refused visitor visa last August with my husband due to unpaid childbirth bills.

The bills have been paid now, can I apply for a study visa or I have to reapply for visitor’s visa.

Secondly is there any provision to travel with spouse as a student? What visa type will the spouse apply for? Can the interview be done together?

Don't border about the equivalent they would do the conversation themselves with official rate.

@ everyone, is it necessary to state the dollar equivalent of what is on a bank statement, and is 6 months statement okay?

You no even know how to get schools na im you dey jump into gist wey happen over a month ago wey you no sabi the beginning.
In things like this better be an observer for a while before drawing conclusion.

The principal of that thread asked for interview pdf and was pointed to how to get it but they insisted so the guy gave him that reply so he would wakeup.

You would have used the time you are using to ask this question to try it on your portal.
If it goes through fine, if it doesn't then you wait for the document.
That is what I will do in this situation.

Vo:How old are you?
Me:25
Vo:why did it take you so long to return to school?
Me: (I invite sadness to my face this time..coz I miss my mum) Just right after graduating from secondary school ....my Mum had cancer ..so I decided to stay back home and take care of her.
Vo: where do you work?
Me:mention my workplace and the year I started working.
Vo: why an associate degree?
Me: that's a great question, now because the US is completely different from my country's educational system, I felt starting small with an associate's will give me the needed experience to navigate a four-year university.
Vo:That makes sense! Who will be the one sponsoring you?
Me:Told them about my sponsor (There was nothing special here..coz I told them all I know about my people...DON'T BE EXTRA!)

*We were both silent for a long while*

Vo: what are you planning on specializing in?
Me: Midwifery

Vo: she smiles, you're good to go! Congratulations you're now a student in the US ...

Me: my ear just block!

The advisor is right.

kodilyjoe:
Hi everyone,

Been a silent reader here. Thanks for your educative comments. I have a question. I am an F1 in the US. My husband and kids and in Nigeria and applying for their F2 visas. I filled the DS-160 forms for all 3 of them because my husband is busy. So, he reviewed the forms and edited some details from his end. For the question (who helped you to fill this form) I responded that I did and filled in my name. And we submitted. Now, an F2 advisor I asked suggested that we should retrieve the forms and respond that he filled them himself.

Has anyone been in this situation or knows anything about this? If we retrieve the forms and change the answer, isn’t the 1st answer already recorded in their system? I appreciate your responses🙏

The issue I see here is your home ties.
Your wife does something that she can easily abandon and remain in the USA.
In my opinion it will make more sense if she will be running your company with your brother while you are gone.

Las las
Reapply alone and let her reapply after 6 months.

Your masters should tally with your undergraduate course or your current job
To show progression.
Eg if you are a lawyer
You can go for LLM if you are practicing
Or working the legal depart of a company but if you are working HR you can go for MBA Human Recourses Administration .

You get it ?

Does the course you did for undergraduate determines the course you will be applying for the masters programs?

I do not believe anyone relocated because of "pepper them". Na work no dey na im make many people waka.

Tadadobe:
With the recent news that dollars is going to be deemphasized and might probably lose values, I'm beginning to think twice about my relocation move. My uncle that recently came back from the US gave me $5000 to do business and I initially thought about using this money to move abroad.

I'm not like an average Nigerian who get carried away with "there are good road and 99hr power supply abroad". When I travel, I'm going there to go and make money not to count ceiling and take hot picture for the Instagram and to pepper people at home.

If dollars get decentralized and $1 = about #250, thouh this development will not go well with people abroad since they'll have fear that the little they send home will no longer be able to surprise anyone, and their usual conversion strategy will no longer work. But on the other hand, this move will help people in Nigeria as there won't be that much of a difference between someone earning #500,000 in Nigeria and the one earning $3000 abroad
