Little Tips on the nature of the entrance exam

The entrance exam is paper based for some department and computer based for others.

All computer based exams are done on Saturdays.

Paper based are done weekdays.

Exam pass which is the visa to the exam would be made available a week to your exam, you would login to your dashboard.


Calculator is allowed for the exam.

No favoritism in Unilag, if you meet your departmental cut off point, you will be admitted. Don't buy into narrative that you need to sought someone's palm.


Unilag masters is highly competitive, admonish us to give it our best, early preparation is the key. Every department has a secret. (I just found Department of Finance secret where they get their entrance exam questions. It is in a textbook written by one of the professor of the department.

If you are applying for MBA or public health, know what you are in for, the crowd you will see on that day for your department would be massive and scaring fighting for a limited slot, prepare adequately, believe you me the exam would be so simple for you

PROGRAMME OUTLINE:




ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The programme is open to candidates with:
• Bachelor’s (honours) degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University; or
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science of the University of Lagos with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• In addition to the qualifying examination, candidates must pass Computer Programming practical examination which will take place immediately after the written examination. The preferred Programming language could be any of the following: C++, Java, C# and Python.

Master of Science in Finance (Full Time) (FullTime)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The programme is open to candidates with:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from the University of Lagos or any other recognised University; or
• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.00 from the University of Lagos plus Bachelor’s (honours) degree in other non-finance related disciplines from the University of Lagos or any other recognized University.

Key Points

1. If you don't have your original certificate, you can apply with your statement of result. Forward your transcript

once you have been admitted. it is not wise to forward your transcript during the application if you are applying with statement of result,

what if you were not admitted, you would be wasting your application fee + transcript fee.

2. If you are serving corps member and you will be passing out by Dec you can apply.


3. course Eligibility is vital, ensure you are eligible for your proposed course before you begin your application, as you will be disqualified regardless of your score in the entrance exam if you ain't eligible for the said course.

Wow it took me 2 straight hours to read from the first to the last page of this thread. And i strongly commend the OP (buzor) for making out time to respond to every question begging for answer here. He made sure no question was unanswered even when those questions have been repeatedly asked by several others. This really endeared me to him. Kudos bro!!

I graduated since 2009 so never thought of going for masters programme until this day. I felt it would be impossible to combine study, work and family together. What raised my hope is where i read by one of buzor's post that its very possible to run the programme alongside work hence Unilag msc is flexible. I studied political science and public Administration with a clean 2.1. I am considering going for Msc in Industrial and Labour Relations this 2020.
Please i would like to know if this course is available in Full time? Because i only saw part time in the CBT enterance exam time table. I need clearification on this.
Secondly, whats the key difference or advantage of Full time to part time?
Thirdly, can any current student break down the fees for me to enable me get fully prepared.
Finally, give any General advice that you think i will find useful in the process of this journey. Thank you as i await your response.

in addition to what someone has said, there is also Industrial relation and personnel management which is strictly fulltime.

Industrial and Labor relations is a professional masters and you cant proceed to do PHD with it.

Yes, there is a specialization in Literature in English education.

unilag masters is very flexible such that you can combine a full-time program with your job as lectures aint usually everyday.

so you have no excuses not to pick up the form.
