Unfortunately, I don’t have any form of Nigerian ID, except my NG passport and birth certificate. I will mail them, just to be certain of the requirements before i go. I will sure hate to travel several hundred miles, just to be denied.
Thanks

oppsss, be that as it may let's think of the way forward. Browse through the NIS portal you can find their contact details which you can make your inquiries but I fear they won't respond swiftly but then I can still help in my own little way since I am going to get my international passport tomorrow at the NIS office I can enquire about how to go about it for someone like you. I will give you a feedback by 9am tomorrow

I reside in the US. Do you think I can get the NIN at the nigerian embassy? I’ve tried calling the embassy several times, but no response from them yet. Can i apply for the passport renewal on the same day, if i get the NIN done at the embassy?
Thanks

Yes you can get it at the embassy, it's quite unfortunate that the Nigerian embassy isn't responding to your calls but I think you should mail them. Go to their webpage and get their email address.
You can apply straight for the passport re-issue same day if you get it. Let me ask, Do you have any form of identification like national id card or voters card or drivers license if you do have. Then you can simply copy the id code of any of them which can still serve as NIN

How does one get the NIN number? One of the requirements on the NIS website for passport renewal is a NIN number. Can i get my passport renewed without this?

if you don't have NIN, kindly visit NIMC office. you can locate their office at any local government secretariat or go to their branch head office at your state capital. make inquiries from people if you stay in your state capital, they will direct you to where their office is. you will get it that day in some local government council secretariat while in some they will say no network that you should come back in few weeks then you know you have to rub their palms with sth. all you need to do is to call the attention of the guy or person operating the computer maturedly , within minutes your NIN number is out.

but it's different at the state capitals office. the basic requirement of you is your bvn, state of origin, nepa bill, any id card

lastly, you cannot process your intl passport with out the NIN, it's your personal identification number, so go and get it.

cheers and happy Sunday

Hi Benjamin, let me know once you get the AL for CAU-Kiel, I can introduce you to the guys in the same program there and to the student body there in general.

Do not reject or cancel any course you already have AL for until you have spoken to people taking those course in those schools. It will help you make a better decision because in truth, anything Economics in Germany is for real men.
H
God bless...

I applied to CAU Kiel too, waiting for admission decision from them

No officer here is known as 2IC.2IC generally means 2nd in command. So there could be many 2IC's here because every department/section has an OC and a 2IC.I am even a 2IC in my department. You supposed to have known the name of the officer by looking at his name tag.Try and get his name and send it across privately .

I have replied your mail. please respond thanks

Let me drop my AL testimony here too.

Applied to 10 schools, 3 through uni-assist, 1 direct application and 6 online application.

Got my first AL in to my most preferred school and course

TUM: MSc Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science, I was so happy like I won 100m lottery. followed by a rejection letter from University of Bonn, thank God I didn't spend a dime in the application.
Next CAU Kiel AL dropped today for MSc Financial Mathematics.

Wishing those expecting AL success in their expectations.
Congratulations sire

Lol
Thanks bro. Even though I'm rejecting most of them cos I already have my most preferred application, It's good to testify to God's goodness. That's why I still share testimony when AL comes.

I don't usually mention it when rejection letters come

I once had a day like that . I went out in the morning to put some documents in place without breakfast. I came back in the afternoon to eat my breakfast as lunch, as I grabbed my phone, rejection letter entered my mail. I lost appetite immediately. Dropped the phone and in one hour, tried to gather some strength to eat my food. I started eating and under 10 mins, another rejection letter dropped in. I cried mehn..

So behind the many ALs (5 is not many to me tho), I've packed a plethora of Rejections.

Mehn, this is epic. I can't stop my self from laughing, sad news that's funny. Don't mind me o, I am just trying to console myself as I just checked my email online to get a RL from Bayreuth despite trying tirelessly to get my passport. nIS is trying to frustrate me but God pass em.

Should I meet my school to restructure the letter by including that my proficiency is equivalent to B2 level as requested for? Please I need your assistance, na this one dey hold the admission now.

please meet your school asap sometimes those guys in school thinks they know it all, from my indepth reading from this thread that I followed allowed me to overcome this problem one time. the person that produced my Epl did rubbish just stating shallow information on the Epl, I had to give him the sample I copied from here that the first one I got from the school was rejected by my proposed school. lol I had to lie small here., showing them that the Epl must state the level of proficiency and what areas of activities is covered by English in the school.
we argued ,the person was like I should go ahead and use what I have that why should I meet them if I know too much. last last we came to understand each other. collect the sample Epl and constructed it. my school I recently got AL accepted it even other several schools I also applied with accepted and confirmed it.
so my brother go back, check what the school want and structure it. I can forward mine

cheers

I wish your question remained unanswered just like how you did not respond to mine... I asked you one of the simplest question ever asked on this thread, you came back online on several occasions and decided to feed yourself with more information from this thread...

I don bookmark you now. I patiently await your next question on this thread...

its quiet unfortunate your passport is taking a decade to fallout..I took my friend to A cousin in Abuja and he got his missing International passport replaced in just 4days sometime in September even as they were complaining no Paper for Passport

Why would they hoard this passport, it's not as if it's free. I wish I didn't already done capture at asaba nis office I would have gone to Abuja. #pathetic

OK, I'm actually aware of the 2017 traffic
