GOZTINO'S TRANSCRIPT

Before sharing this transcript, I would like to appeal to all of you.
1. Make sure you are close to German embassy a day before the interview date, Lagos always have traffic which might delay you and when you arrive late, you will not be allowed to enter for your interview.
2. If you are a JJC in Lagos like me, make sure you ask for directions very well or go with the person you are staying with so that you won't waste time unnecessarily on the road.
3. Ask questions when you are confused on the bus to take, lagosians are always willing to direct you.
4. A day before your interview date, check your documents properly and make sure its complete... Each document should have two copies each and also hold #30,500, otherwise you will be bounced.
5. When Paulinus will be checking your documents, mind your business and don't try to assist other people that will be confused behind you, I nearly got bounced because of that.

I left by 4:30am and arrived by 7:10am few minutes before Paulinus stopped admitting those for 7am.

Back to the interview section.
I arrived around 7:10am after almost crying on the road due to traffic and even paying for drop from Obalande.
On getting to the embassy, I saw the man Paulinus shouting here and there and sending some people back at the back for being unorganized as he used to say.
VO: What's your name?
VO: Why are you going to Germany?
VO: Why this course?
VO: Why Germany?
VO: Why not English speaking countries?
VO: Why not Nigeria?
VO: Tell me about the city your school is located and everything you know about Germany.
As I was still on it, he was typing some stuffs and at a point asked me to stop
VO: What do you intend to do after your studies?
Goztino: I want to come back to Nigeria and use the practical experience I will acquire in Germany to establish my own Geoscience firm here and become a Geoscience consultant.
VO: Don't you want to work in Oil and gas companies?
Goztino: I would start my own firm and employ other graduates in other to help towards the industrialization and creation of employment in my country, Nigeria.
VO: Why not start the firm now and employ the graduates now?
Goztino: I would have loved to but I don't have enough practical skills and experience yet
VO: Alright, that will be all. Do you have any question for me?
Goztino: No sir.
congratulations

Look for someone working in an organisation/coy, tell him or her you will be using the org address for your transcript. So simple. Send the address of the org to your school.

This should help

This is what I did initially the first guy who os a clo in the coy was behaving as if he is a God I bulshit him . can you imagine I contacted someone else in another coy lo and behold he agreed to help me collect the transcript without hesitation. I was like naija we are in a way difficult to ourselves.

When I was applying to Aachen, I was told to upload my course description. I really dont know what they mean by this course description. Other universities didn't ask of such confusing task.

see below.
Please upload either your module catalog or, alternatively, copy and paste the link to the module catalog on a blank sheet and upload this. Keep in mind that you will have to provide an adequate description of the course content of the modules that are relevant for admission, for example a module guide. The module descriptions must include the credit points earned as well as the course load in semester week hours. If you do not have access to a module catalog or module guide (e.g. in the case of “Diplom” or “Magister” degree programs), please upload comparable documentation (e.g. course catalogs or a letter from your previous university confirming the equivalence of course content with regard to current Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programs). It is important that the course content is sufficiently specified and substantiated. For further questions please contact the responsible departmental academic advisor (www.rwth-aachen.de/fachstudienberatung).

your undergraduate course handbook will serve. That is what they are requesting for. in some schools the handbook is found on the departmental online page but if not so in your school look for your course handbook, where all the course with description and credit hour even the course coordinators of the course you took are all listed out. if you dont have it handy please visit your department and request for one then you can scan and upload to them. i hope this helps

I thought the 8700€ is required by the german embassy for all schools or a sponsor in Germany before issuing a visa. Is there an exception to this? Kindly throw more light
Exactly, the money is to prove to the embassy that you can take care of your living expenses but in the case where you have someone you need a sponsorship letter SL which your sponsor need send to the alien office for approval.

I thought germany is free education?

Most schools but not all schools offers free tuition even in some schools that offer free tuition there are some courses within the school that requires tuition. Schools that offers free tuition requires you take of your living expenses which the German embassy requires you to block 8700€ in a German account before you would be offered a visium.

I like to think that my essay was MADDDDD!!!!!
I got the offer less than two hours after my Skype interview with the admission director. I probably impressed him.

Above all, I thank God that I got into the school. I also thank God for this thread and everyone that contributes to help other people.

My advise to hopefuls based on my experience is this; when you are given a scholarship offer, you can take the risk and ask for more before accepting the admission. For example, I was initially given a scholarship offer of 13.7% off my tuition but I sent an email to the admission director explaining that my family had been saving money ahead of my grad studies but crude prices fell and the naira has lost about 60% of its value... something along these lines...

Long story cut short, they increased the offer they gave me by 30%.
Imagine I was scared and didn’t ask, that would have cost me the 30% increase in the scholarship they offered me.... is your fear worth 30% ? Hahaha

Goodluck guys!

congratulations sis, thats quite a remarkable success and achievement so far. this is a result of hard word and determination. I tap into your testimony sis. I would like to get info from you asap as my situation is similar to that of yours.

although, my msc focus is at uni bayreuth Germany . I have beeb given admission but no funding yet . so I mailed my course coordinator about it he asked me to forward a Motivation letter indicating my funding needs . I need a compelling mail like yours to streamline mine. I would like to speak with you more on this , I am not a burden and can work independently with little supervision.

Thank you so much.
God bless you more
Best regards

Good thread.. Please Brothers in the house living in Germany, are international students allowed to work in Germany while studying?? is there any hours restrictions or can one work as much as he can.
Also Can one be able to realize the Block account money and pays back to the lender while still studying

Yes, international students are allowed to study/work in Germany but you will need some documentation and get a permit in order to do so but it comes with a clause that is to say for you to maintain your work permit , you must not fall below an average academic performance otherwise when they discover that working will hinder your performance , your permit will be withdrawn fron you and working as a student depends entirely on your academic calendar of which they will request from you. mostly, depending on how demanding your course would be depends on the maximum hours that would be allocated to you for work. this would be maximum during festivals and holidays.

lastly, the blocked account is your money and no one else . certain amount upto 600€ will be released to you on a monthly basis for your upkeep . so its left for you to know what to do with it from there you can stash some if you wish
.
Thats the little I can say for now from my understanding reading this thread as a newbie.

cherrs.

Well it’s nothing you don’t know, depends on where you might come from, some companies/organization often do this as part of their service to the host community.

I get your point sire. but could you please give me a little bit of guideline. I have some few oil and gas companies situated in my community that offers academic scholarships upto undergrad level . maybe I could walk upto them. but then I need to be guided properly, hence my humble request for guidance and necessary supporting documents to go along with.

waiting in anticipation for a positive response from you sire.
Thank you so much.

On Friday night, i became restless when one of my friends got his third acceptance with full funding in Chemistry while none of my applications have made a decision. I was like, "is it that they are not seeing my application?" I just turned off my data and slept off. So i woke up yesterday morning and turned on my data only to receive two emails from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that i have been admitted for their PhD in Chemical Engineering with full mouth watery funding.
Am super excited about the offer! But i am still waiting for Ga Tech and Minnesota so i will just wait.
Fall2019, we're going somewhere.

congratulations boss. I tap into your success story.

please can you help me with a compelling motivation letter that I can compare with the one I have here. kindly forward to my email address here baretutu@gmail.com
