Politics › Re: NMA Rejects FG’s Decision To Deploy Doctors To Saint Lucia by Chibuezem(m): 5:28am On Jul 04, 2025
DeLaRue:
So if Nigerian government sends 10 doctors to Saint Lucia, it is the end of the world for Nigerians?

At less than 200,000, the population of St Lucia is less than the population of Iyana Ipaja smiley

So even 5 extra doctors will make a big difference to them, whilst 5 less doctors will have zero impact on Nigeria.

The UK sends aid worth around £200 million to Nigeria every year, and the US almost $700 million per year before Trump.

Do you know how many people in the UK and US who can't afford food, who rely on charity for clothes, or who are homeless.

Have those countries refused to send aid to Nigeria despite the fact that tens of thousands of their own citizens are poorer than Nigerians?
You are the reason why Nigerians are suffering, Most communities don't have doctors ni, children are dieing from easily treated diseases, quackery is on the rise and you are encouraging exporting doctors. The same doctors that have been canvassing for better pay(imagine being paid with a salary scale more than 5 years old) with no response. May you not experience Nigerian Healthcare system.

Iran, Israel & the US — Is this the end times?
In this powerful 11-minute teaching, Dr. Abel Damina challenges traditional Christian beliefs about modern-day Israel. He explains why today’s political Israel is not the same as the biblical Israel and reveals what the Bible really says about war, prophecy, and the true elect.

📖 Scriptures Quoted:

Romans 11:17

Genesis 32:28 (not 33:25 – typo in earlier message)

🔥 After the teaching, Chinick TV delivers a bold 3-minute breakdown to help you understand and reflect.

This video may challenge what you’ve always believed — but it will also deepen your understanding.

When you get to your university gate, you will see the motto of your university. They always talk about knowledge and skills, and never about getting jobs. So, we go to school to acquire knowledge and skills that will help us understand and question the world around us and solve its problems.

While the university doesn't expect you to put that knowledge into bad practice (that's why they find you worthy in character and learning), what you do with it is totally up to you. In summary, nobody promised you that you would get a job after going to school because getting a job isn't the essence of going to school in the first place.
Universities aim to equip students with knowledge and skills, but the expectation is that governments create opportunities for these skills to be utilized. It's unrealistic to assume graduates will automatically find value-added roles. Governments should provide enabling environments and job opportunities that match the skills taught in schools. My school's motto, 'Excellence and Service,' implies a responsibility to serve society, which aligns with the expectation of governments creating opportunities for graduates to contribute meaningfully!

It's baffling that we're pushed to pursue higher education without job guarantees. The SAED(Skill Acquisition Empowerment and development) of NYSC initiative's emphasis on skill acquisition is a Band-Aid solution. Why counsel Nigerian youth to spend years in school without assurance of relevant job opportunities? It's disheartening to see graduates struggling, leading some to feel that education is a scam. The expectation that professionals like doctors should diversify into unrelated fields like soap-making or tailoring to survive is unrealistic. The system needs reform to prioritize job creation and align education with industry needs.

Politics › Re: Why Nigeria Can Never Have 24/7 Electricity Even With The Best Government by Chibuezem(m): 1:16pm On Jun 28, 2025
PaNnamdi:
Don't be deceived because electricity generation is not child play.Generation of electricity requires numerous capital and human resources to make a nation especially a large one called Nigeria with over 200 million people to get steady electricity.

Reasons Nigeria Can Never Guarantee Steady Electricity Supply

As a Nigerian I use roughly 3000 watts of electricity daily, this comes from my 8 400 watts solar panels.Every Nigerian need atleast a minimum of 2000 to optimum of 3000 watts of electricity in his home to be able to carry out basic electrical demands in his day to day life.

How Many Watts Do Nigeria Actually Need To Generate

Nigerian Need atleast a generation capacity of 600,000,000,000(600 billion)watts of electricity for it to gurantee that it have met the electrical demands of the Nigerian population. If the Nigerian government follows this solar generation model(which is the cheapest and ecologically cleanest way),the Nigerian government also need to distribute and subsidize solar batteries and inverters so as to make the Nigerian be able to boast of 24 hr electricity daily

Cost Associated With Generating Electricity Of This Size

A 600bn watts generation would guarantee every 200 million Nigerian citizen have assess to at less 3,000 watts of electricity wether during peak times or not.if it cost the government 3000 dollars to generate 3mw(3000 watts) of solar power,it would require 3000*200,000,000 which is 600 billion dollars to guarantee electricity for every Nigerian.(Note this is just basic calculation and extra costs involved during this realization weren't added if I added it everything could run up to 1 trillion dollars).

Reality

Nigeria can't afford this, and to my readers please maintain your generator or solar panels with all zeal because its your only remedy to steady light until you die, don't believe propagandas a thousand of Peter obi, tinubu, Jonathan, sowore and all analysts combined can't make Nigeria get steady electricity supply accross every inch of Nigerian territory not even in a 100 years time.
As usual a post created to push the narrative that Nigeria is poor. Nigeria is rich to politicians that they try tooth and nail to make sure they are elected into the helm of affairs where they can tap into the vast resources of Nigeria.while broadcasting that Nigeria is poor to the common man.
Our hope is with God who can engineer the right Nigerian, into the the wrong system of governance and restructure it.

ivandragon:
'Sounds' good, but the devil is always in the details and the reality on ground...

So, let's do the comparative analysis shall we...

1. Base (period, value etc)

A. Comparative period 2014 and 2025 (2014 is used or 2 reasons. 1. That was when apc came to power. 2. The people in power today protested against the socioeconomic conditions of 2014)

B. Monetary value (using fx rates)
N250,000 today is equivalent to N34,000 in 2014.

So, a brief random comparative analysis would reveal the following...

In 2014, N34,000 would get you about 380 litres of pms.
In 2025, N250,000 gets you about 266 litres of pms.

In 2014, N34,000 got you about 4+ bags of rice.
In 2025, N250,000 gets you 3+ bags of rice.

In 2014, N34,000 got 10 bags of NPK fertilizer.
In 2025, N250,000 gets 5 bags of NPK fertilizer.

In 2014, N34,000 got 55 small baskets of tomatoes.
In 2025, N250,000 gets 42 small baskets of tomatoes.

So, are Nigerians better off socioeconomically under bat?

Your guess is as good as whatever you have surmised...
This is disheartening seriously, thank you for your in depth analysis. What do you suggest will help?

Nigerian army is complacent in the whole Fulani herdsmen terrorists attacks all over Nigeria, it is no longer news.

My only worry is why Tinubu haven't done any serious thing to change this, how you may ask?

From reports of past years and recent times, anytime Fulani herdsmen wants to attack a community, Nigerian army usually storm that community to disarm any vigilante group and even make random arrests, days later Fulani herdsmen terrorists will strike that community. And once they strike, Nigerian army will crawl out from their hiding to prevent the community youths from carrying out a reprisal attack on Fulanis.

The solution?

Stop posting Hausa-Fulani Generals to be the GOC of any army barrack outside Northwest and Northeast.

Let every GOC of army barrack in any Nigerian state be an indigene of that state, or at worst someone from that region if the state doesn't have enough Generals to appoint as GOC.

Stop posting Hausa-Fulani Generals to be the commanding officers of army barracks in Middlebelt states, Southeast states, SouthSouth states and Southwest states. They should be posted to Northwest and Northeast states.

Do the same with Police Commissioners and Deputy Police Commissioners and watch Fulani herdsmen terrorists attacks die a natural death.

Will Tinubu do this? NO!

Why? He is ruling Nigeria with politics of abracadabra, he is not really interested in delivering quality leadership that will impact Nigerian people's lives positively.

The implication?

Fulani herdsmen attacks will continue, sadly
you are correct are you on X?
I would love to follow you.

So as a common Nigerian citizen, we are advised to survive no matter what it takes. Your security is in your hands likewise your wellbeing. If you compare the amount of hours put into work medical staff (doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists etc) are underpaid. Besides we need to hear the nurses reason for rejecting or refusing to attend to the patient before concluding.
