Well it's clear he is now almost solely responsible for two league trophies back to back. First with Leicester and now with Chelsea. Lol, my earliest football memories are from 2002 world cup. Very faint though. I remember being in primary school, primary 3 and some matches being played in the morning, Nigerian time.

How our form teacher used to use radio to listen aloud to live commentary in front of class.

But you see you said DEFENSE i.e combination of DTs,DEs,LBs,CBs,SS,FS. That is like 4 or 5 different positions, you are comparing a single position on offense to the sum total of all the positions on defense. The point is that no SINGLE position in defense or offense is as important as the QB position. That is the reason why they get so much of the glory and so much of the blame .
Unless you are maybe Reggie White or Lawrence Taylor no single defensive player can have the influence a QB has. If one top tier D line man gets injured it might affect the team negatively but as long as the rest are steady all is not lost even if his replacement is a lil mediocre. But if a QB goes down most times it is lights out for the team, case in point what happened to the Raiders this season when Derek Carr went down.

Can't Disagree here. QB is the singular most important position on the field eventhough the majority of my favourite players were Running Backs.

Ben was never going to outscore Brady in a shootout. That Jesse James TD that was later overruled and our inability to run it in was deflating and the gamechanger for me. The defense was always going to have to give Ben some help with a turnover. Where I respect the Ravens is that they always know how to beat the pass protection with beasts like T-Sizzle and Ray Lewis that year. Brady has our number it seems

I pick the Falcons to win it all. The Pats got away with double teaming Antonio Brown cos of rubbish receivers like Coates and Hamilton. Not happening at the SB

Smart money is usually on Bill and Brady to find a way but I am going with the Falcons.
Their QB has been the best this year, they have the most dominant WR in Julio and multiple other weapons like Sanu et al.
They have to play clean mistake free offense and then pls take away Brady's short to mid range passing game. He does not have a rocket arm , they should stop those patriot receivers at the point of reception not allow gazilion yards after the catch like the Steelers did.

I have also got the Falcons. But i'll wait til a day or two before the big one to see which team has the better clean bill of health. As you said any team that has Brady and Belichick on their roster has a massive chance of winning so it could go either way. It makes for an intriuging contest.

The truest words I have heard someone say is that "You don't want to get into a coaching battle with Bill. You'll loose". So that's the first thing they've got to do. Make Belichick not as involved as possible. Second is Brady make Him have to throw it as long as possible. Take Him out of his comfort zone. Lastly don't think their defence is great, so i'll try to get to the end zone as often as I can. As A40 said, you can't beat the patriots on field goal alone. Touchdowns are needed. All easy said than done though.

Yeah. Rodgers is the most talented QB i have watched, but he is missing i believe 3 out of his 4 regular deep threats. The mitigating factor is that Matty Ice is a known choke artist in the post season who melts when it counts the most.
The Steelers who i love can do it if both Bell and Brown go bonkers AND pls hit the end zone this time. It might require at least 300 yds combined from them. Bell is the key to keeping Brady off the field though.

True Matt might be seen as a serial choker but I don't know man this year is just different. Never seen Him play this well. He is playing like a man possesed. Having said that, I think His lack of big game experience might show come what may.

Absolutely agree with Regards the steelers. That's pretty much the only way they'll win. Run the ball well and keep Tom off the field(patroit's defence is nowhere as good as the Chiefs too). Also that we are not talking about Big Ben shows how well the three other QB are playing. Let's not forget He has the big game experience too.
