Boosting SMEs: If Atiku truly believes in economic growth, why not invest in small and medium-scale industries? That sum could have created jobs, spurred innovation, and strengthened local economies—rather than funding a smear campaign.

The Hypocrisy of the Spend
Atiku’s $1.2 million expenditure raises serious questions:
How does he plan to recover this money if, by any misfortune, he wins the election? Will he resort to misusing public funds if he gains power? This probably explains why he has been sounding desperate in recent times, claiming he will restore fuel subsidies. It’s more likely that he will try to recoup his $1.2 million than make any genuine attempt to reintroduce subsidies—unless, of course, subsidies are his way of recouping the money.

Why waste such a vast sum on PR when Tinubu’s administration is investing in expansive projects like the Badagry-Sokoto Road and Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway—initiatives that will outlast any political tenure?

A Campaign Built on Doubts
Okeke, backed by Atiku, has yet to deliver on his August 21st promise to release "damning documents." Instead, he has dodged deadlines, and there are growing doubts about whether he even initiated a court case, let alone received any FBI response.
For a campaign that demands transparency from Tinubu, the lack of concrete proof—and the wasteful spending—speaks volumes. If this is the standard of accountability Atiku champions, Nigerians deserve better.
As for his frequent updates on the "progress" of his investigation, one can clearly see that $1.2 million is enough incentive to throw bogus claims around. None of which is backed by any proof. It is simply payment at work.

The Bigger Questions

If ₦1.62 billion can be frivolously burned on unsubstantiated claims, why couldn't that same fortune have been used to ventures that helps the vulnerable, or improve lives?

But that question is far too narrow. In the coming days, we must demand answers to the real, damning inquiries lurking beneath the surface:

Does the "explosive document" actually exist? Or is the entire premise a carefully stage-managed fiction designed to distract rather than expose?

Has Atiku been scammed by Mr. Ikemefuna Okeke? Given that investigative journalist David Hundeyin previously raised alarms about similar grifting playbooks, is Okeke simply running a repeat con on a desperate politician?

What about the hired mercenary? Mr Van Barter—the very figure orbiting this saga—is widely alleged to have pulled off similar frauds against the DRC government, is Nigeria's former Vice President unwittingly parading a known serial offender as a credible source?

And the financial knockout punch: With the contract reportedly stipulating that no milestone already paid is refundable, can Atiku recover a single kobo from this ₦1.62 billion sinkhole—or has he thrown the money into an irreversible abyss?

Ultimately, the answers to these Bigger Questions won't just embarrass one party; they might finally reveal whether we are witnessing a genuine exposé—or simply an expensive, high-stakes delusion that tells us everything about Atiku’s desperation and nothing about Tinubu’s record.

Which would defeat the purpose of your subsidy.

A business must operate at a profit. Profit is the lubrication of jobs, investment, innovation and prosperity.

You do not have to vote for corruption in the form of APC to believe this.
