Politics / Re: Cardinal Okogie Exposes Buhari - See Why He Is Afraid Of Restructuring Nigeria by chiddye(m): 1:33pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
of course restructuring is the answer but most times we only tend to portray the problem and not a pragmatic solution on what terms are we intending to restructure what would be the template. what system of government would we tend to run? this are salient questions begging for answers. nonetheless restructuring is a subject our leaders won't want to dive in, since they are enjoying the national cake at the moment look at the budget padding scenario going on in the national assembly it depicts where the loyalty of this our representatives lies in money. I believe if we look at the documents of the previous national conference we might find a solution that would help us in the short and medium term. |

what is the price of an average Nigerian life? this is a huge slap on our face. why is there not a wide spread protest to open up NASS? how long would we keep quiet and see a selective few Rob us in broad daylight. this funds are meant to help our dilapidated infrastructure but we all know they are going to private pockets. am shocked at the outright silence of my our leaders is this not the right time to bring sanity to this insane house of assembly and remove every form of mediocrity. this has gone beyond party politics cause when they are looting they don't play party gimmicks. 1 Like |

I strongly support and commend serap on this, someone needs to hold this government accountable. Nigerians are tired of their lies and lips service portrayed by this government. except if they have something to hide. you do media trials but you can't present names of those that stole from the Treasury! double standard! am pretty sure minister liar Mohammed won't be happy about this 4 Likes |

well said op_ the society we live in prefers mediocrity to values; look at our musicians and their quest for vanity and poor musical skills. it's a shame that we can't name artistes in naija who are giving us real value for our money |

instead of us sitting back and complaining I suggest we should get the number of a senator and start calling and disturbing them after all that is what they are elected to do. https://www.naij.com/797261-unconfirmed-list-nigerian-senators-contact-details-photos.html of we could use this list optimally we could get our voice heard in Parliament and bring the NYSC management to book. because this waiting is damn frustrating and demoralizing |

am just speechless, mixed feelings running through my spine it's been two years since this girls have been kidnapped. if only we don't play politics with everything in this country. it's just painful because the life's of this girls have been altered forever, if only the average Nigerian could see what bigotry and dirty politics undermine the value of human life. I hope they come home to us safe, alas the #BBOG was not in vain today marking the second year holds so much significance with this report. please for every well meaning Nigerian politics and ethnicity shouldn't cloud your sense of reasoning and human empathy, the chibok girls scenario could have been averted if leaders were accountable to their constituents. if only......... 7 Likes 1 Share |

only people who are ignorant of history would support Buhari and his rhetoric anti corruption war it just a distraction. aribisala is on point here, carefully analysing the the gimmicks of the Buhari administration. FYI; if you thinking Buhari is the president of Nigeria you are really joking go back to your history books idiagbon was the president when he was head of state. and in this present civilian dispensation someone is doing the same job idiagbon did. justifying this his is incessant globe trotting. Buhari has always been a weak leader who lacks touch with reality. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Fulani Herdsmen Kill Villagers In Taraba! by chiddye(m): 11:47pm On Apr 11, 2016 |
do we have a government at all? so much deaths at the hand of this killers parading themselves has herdsmen! I have tend to stop lamenting we need to start providing practical solutions to end this bloodletting. every community should start arming themselves Fulani herdsmen have no mercy start stockpiling guns, that was how the people of shagamu curbed their menace I think it high time we start clamouring for state policing with our voices as loud to the heavens, but in the short term everyone should be armed, our local vigilante should be given weapons and proper training it high time we stop this before they put a knife to our kinsmen neck! there is little time for ethnic triviality. there is a grand conspiracy in play and we are sleeping with both eyes close. the police can't save you, the military is by their side. somebody somewhere thinks he is Othman Dan fodio. be wise 37 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Re: Path To Industrializing Nigeria (The Forced Growth Model) by chiddye(m): 1:15am On Mar 30, 2016 |
industrializing Nigeria would start with reorientating the psych of the average Nigerian on the street, the job of the (national orientation centre) we need to drive the patriotic spirit that as been neglected and abandoned. you can't create an industrialized nation without government policy. is the government willing to partner with the private sector properly? government should be playing a regulatory role... we need the legislators to do something regarding that, legislations like the petroleum industry bill that could address issues with crude oil commodities both upstream and downstream should be passed into law to stimulate productivity in that area. you can't industrialized a nation that can't feed itself we need to be self sufficient in Nigeria, regarding this although it seems the present government is trying to encourage agricultural research and development which would enable us perform better nonetheless the agricultural sector should be given a pivotal role. every region has to produce a cash crop for export state by state to enable each state add to the nations foreign exchange, we use to be an agricultural nation before oil and we need to go back to our basis. encourage foreign direct investment by creating enabling environment for foreign investors we can't grow our nation without foreign hands we need to create an environment that would be conducive for foreigners and their investments technological hubs should be encourage in every state of the federation thereby enabling inventors and new generation scientist to drive the industrialization process 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Picture Of The First Generation Of Nigerian Army Officers by chiddye(m): 8:33pm On Mar 26, 2016 |
Greenback: disintegration is out of the subject I think we need to properly educate ourselves and know our rights, the Constitution itself is a fraud that allows mediocrity and nepotism at the corridors of power the resolution of the just national conference if properly implemented could drive this nation into proper civility. if Jonathan wasn't playing to the gallery with the national conference the resolutions could have been a life line to a better naija because it addressed the majority of the problems bedeviling the nation. alas I think there is a silent majority growing that are patriotic and tired of this suffering and smiling mentality, it just take a selected few to change the course of this Nation I pray we leave naija better than how we met it when we pick our calls to the great beyond. 1 Like |

Greenback: someone once told me there is a divine purpose Nigeria is made for in the history of the world. the astrologers, CIA, MI6 saw doom in Nigeria in 2015 it was clear as daylight the West knew there would be lots of bloodshed but at the end of the day there was mercy on this nation. don't get it twisted Nigeria is destined to be great only if the youth know the half of the story what if Jonathan's heart was hardened and didn't handover power? look at Syria, and people would be yaning beans online...there is Grace on this nation if you don't know |

this was when the military was with dignity and honor. before the shenanigans of ahmadu Bello polarised the military with ethnic idiosyncrasies, bias and bigotry. did anyone notice that when it was based on merit the northern oligarchs did have their stooges in the military unlike now when the arewa flag is hoisted over the military to serve selfish purposes. am not an ethnic bigot am just stating history has it is and the decline of merit in our military system! |

I guess you have never seen a bomb blast scene before that's why you spill nonsense online, your noisy vulgarity is shaming and sad! you are a disgrace to every form of civility. your hypocrisy and stupidity would get you killed! 7 Likes 1 Share |

to what effect would this populist agenda result to, how sustainable is it, those it have a long term prospect, how much of the budget would it consume I fear for the short sightedness of our leaders, if this type of money is injected Into infrastructure properly the poor won't have to wait for handouts and stipends from the government I don't know how some people in government reason with their feet all we need is proper infrastructure and basic amenities |
Politics / Re: 'All Former Air Force Chiefs Diverted N558.2million Monthly'-Ex-NAF Finance Dir. by chiddye(m): 8:54am On Mar 25, 2016 |
this has been the culture of the military from time immemorial, no transparency and accountability since the days of babangida....all military formation and their chiefs are all guilty of this. it is the way they are structured since the era of impunity by babangida. only people who don't know about the military would be shocked about this. those military chiefs don't account to nobody on the money allocated to them, since they are not integrated into the civil service pay scheme it's high time we call for a proper structure of the military formations and integrate them into the civil service pay scheme for more accountability and transparency 4 Likes 3 Shares |

when would the people of benue be free from this menace, I think it is high time they start taking up arms against this militants, the state governor should properly restructure the vigilante groups to enable them tackle this problem head on and I would like to recommend a biometric registration for every herdsman we should know them and know where they are coming from, every part of the nation is at risk of this menace....benue is just an experimental phase it's a full blown propaganda against the southern states of Nigeria southerners be armed! |

LadyExcellency: you got it all wrong if political offices are made unattractive, probably on a minimum wage or the wage of an average school teacher with no pecks of office the average political class enjoy in Nigeria, do you think there would be do or die politics in this nation? we need to get our priorities right until when patriotic citizens vie for political office then we would get the dividend of democracy. the system we operate in Nigeria is heading for a self destruct with the crop of politicians we have who lack morals and values.who only represents their pockets and their pockets only make political office unattractive and you see a great nation I weep for rivers I weep for democracy in Nigeria wike and amaechi are demons |

this is why we shouldn't lay bad precedents with our judicial system, tinubu was let off the hook through this premise I don't see the reason why saraki shouldn't be let of the hook also on this premise. I think tinubus case should be revisited if these government actually wants to build the anticorruption system. |
