confirm my nigga, I subscribe to some of them but how would we move Nigeria forward with these kind of characteristics. but you are on point FAM bigups |
In the wake of the terrorist attacks on kano and the incessant outpouring of sympathy and solidarity with victims of boko haram all over the north, i have asked why the Nigerian government has not convincingly taken cognisance of the situation and keeps repeating the same mistake while the populace suffer equally heinous horrors from boko haram. for the horrors of boko haram to be stopped there are certain objectives the Nigerian government needs to address head on which I would enumerate here. 1. Intelligence And Technology the war against terrorism can only be won through well skilled and equipped intelligence agency. DSS has not been well equipped and most times seems clueless about the dealing of boko haram sect, bomb blast is has common has saying good morning in the north east, and raids occur in villages and suburbs even in places were the military as liberated. Are our DSS competent? How many of their intelligence gathering has curb bomb blast recently. there is the need to fight the war with more technologies this is the 21st century and it seem the DSS is in the stone age. CCTV cameras, satellite monitoring, drones, motion sensors etc are technologies the government need to invest on for security. Intelligence and technology are intertwined in this modern world one can't do without the other and the Nigerian government need to be pro active in technological advancements to fight terrorism. 3. Infrastructural Assessment boko haram has bomb church, mosque, and markets mostly....... Have we learnt from our mistake? Have there been mechanism put in place to checkmate such occurrences that would help stop the suicide bombers from repeating their act of Bloodshedding? Your guess is has good has mine a capital NO! until when we start addressing this issues of safety in public places like schools, place of worship, market, library etc. boko haram would always see Nigerian's as soft targets with no defence mechanism and use our place of worship and markets against us. 4. Police formation it is clear as looking into a still water that the Nigerian community is under policed especially the north, there need to be a massive recruitment into the police, a recruitment based on merit and efficiency especially the counter terrorism unit which would help combat the fight against the insurgence. Why wait till next year. The recruitment should be done soon than procrastinating it until next year with no specific time frame. 5. Economic funding who are those funding boko haram? Have any of them been brought to book? Although we have seen the CBN making monetary policies to stop money laundering but to what effect has it had on boko haram. Until when the government start attacking financiers and incarcerating them then would we see a sharp drop in their acts because every organization depends on money to function optimally and boko haram seem to function well and even earned themselves the deadliest group in the world. It is high time we follow their money trail and attack their sponsors. 6. Weapon assessment and border control how do the insurgents get weapons? Where do they buy them from? How do they get into the country? Is it from the border or it came through the ports. Two days ago i watched on youtube how boko haram boast of an arsenal in stock to fight the Nigerian army. Where did they get it from? Have our intelligence services clearly look into this issue, what is the government doing to disarm the militant or cut their access to weapons? Nigerian borders are one of the most porous in the world, until when the immigration services block the border weapons and militants would always have their way into the country 7. Gun and militancy control in the north; from time immemorial we have all known the north has always been with different types of sect either tribal or religious and most of them are armed with ammunitions. This various sect have always at a time enjoyed sympathy from the political class of their localities. Like we see in the case of ombatse sect........what has the government done toward such dastardly gathering and their sponsor who use them during election? Boko haram started has a small sect with political sentiment and look at where we are today. Until when the government clamp down on such sect and their sponsors in politics then the north can know peace. 8. Islamic clerics and Cultural reorientation; It is a known fact that some people especially some clerics still show sympathy to boko haram and still instigate their worshippers against the government even in places like kano and jigawa there is need of a cultural recalibration that is necessary in the north in addressing extremism and true islam a role that can be played by moderate clerics and the government. There is a strong need to fish out the clerics that preach wahabism and jihadist ideology to help kill the cancer of terrorism in our society. My deepest condolences to families that have suffered from the horrors of boko haram and the victims of bomb blast may you find solitude in the almighty. |
DropShot:you spoke about the budget, are there policies in place to carefully yield productivity of this budget? are there strong institution to help this budget? have you seen the capital market, assessing forex is like passing a Carmel through a needle......am not trying to bad mouth this government but its clear to every one that they lack credible economic policy direction. Nigerians need result, positive results not propaganda we voted against corruption it been six months and no conviction has been made, and they keep coming to the media that they are fighting corruption, my man open your eyes the APC government has been playing lip service to corruption. nonetheless I strongly hope it gets better |
karma is a bitch, aside for visiting MR Joshua there are many places you would visit in Nigeria whether you like it or not better come prepared |
seriously!!! I was expecting some kinda tips mtcheew |
its real ooo their site is dead I guess they couldn't handle the traffic the deals are awesome..... but with the dead site it annoying |
petty thief given long jail term while the !ass looter walk around like demigods! |
vicque:that's why it is called showbiz. attention makes her money |
folks fakingly hating on this chick while am seeing a lot of traffic on this thread. well the babe try sha but if I get my hand on those mammary glands she would prefer Chinese as her native language |
normal runz....the popo should even charge more because he is white |
these guys dwell on propaganda and the western media houses help them with it, their videos look like Hollywood action movie trailer mad dogs, but can the west win this war against an ideology? |
how many hijab related suicide bomb attacks can we handle? when would we separate religion from logical reasoning, this is the problem I have with some Islamic cleric....when the bomb explodes they begin to blame the government forgetting they had created measures to checkmate such occurrence which they strongly rejected.... smh |
@op you are on point in any sane clime the rule of law as to be respected, when I heard about audu's death what came to mind was his deputy would succeed him before the Nigerian effect kicked in if APC intends to field a younger audu its a clear indication that they are undemocratic and disrespect the law.something most of us know but refuse to accept I am surprise at the level of incompetence of our electoral commission for not standing their ground on an issue that was in their jurisdiction to handle |
now am scared of Nigeria's democracy, if the law can be twisted to enable public treasury looters walk free then we are in trouble I remember pmb was voted majorly to fight corruption and sanitizing the judiciary. is this the change we voted for? |
incompetent minister of petroleum fix the fuel scarcity! you are killing small scale businesses. Nigerians voted for a positive change not retrogression... @topic how does this banquet take millions of Nigerians out of poverty, instead of creating good policies and building credible infrastructure they are flexing...smh |
Arogunmasa:it might sound stupid if Russia blocks a revenue of $25billion, Russia's economy is dwindling, from my perspective I don't think Russia's economy can actually sustain this war at home.....am pretty sure they work a way around this dispute. the fight would be in the desert and plains of Syria and Iraq, nonetheless turkey is no saint they have been bombing Kurdish opposition forces that are backed by the united States, the mysterious hand of turkeys president erdogen can't be removed from this hydra headed conflict, he has been fueling the flames on both sides |
this is mean! the hustle is on another level |
I pray he doesn't get fuel to take him to aso rock and have to queue at the filling station, so he would know how Nigerians feel first hand.... fake minister of petroleum. I wonder why the senate hasn't summoned.....talk about double standard |
mamagee3:doesn't speak much, I can't place the right word you might change it and see if you are really mean |
mamagee3:how am I suppose to know |
Ghandi12:dispute over south China sea, I just feel America is just scared about the rising dominance of China, didn't america do the same....I don't feel the world we live in can accommodate an all out war due to the collateral damage the world is still dealing with Syrian and Iraqi migrants I think the war for now would just be economic AND trying to kill each others economy, Russia's economy is dwindling and their stocks are going down I don't like they would want to accommodate another sanction |
I don't think NATO would want to mess with Russia, Russia supplies over 60 percent of the gas used in Europe both parties would find away around this issue. there as always been a cold war between Russia and the west we can't deny that fact an all out war for now is not possible......but I strongly feel this proxy war the united states and Russia is fighting in the middle east would strongly backfire on them, they both claim to share a common enemy ISIL once ISIL is handicapped in the middle east they would turn up the gear against themselves. there are so many interest groups, multinationals playing behind the scene not to get the middle east settled due to oil over there this war in the middle east aside ISIL is simply about oil, who controls the oil, have you wondered whom ISIL has been selling the oil they extract in Syria and Iraq? many questions and the role of the Saudi Arabia and Iran |
emmyrichie:what kind of stupid topic is this, was it his money that he used to build it that the people if kogi state benefit from him. was it his money? have you asked yourself how much was allocated to put in place such infrastructure? does the amount tally with service rendered? Mr op you need to deter yourself from this bootlicking mentality..... am pretty sure if he had done a great job with his office while he was a governor he won't be sent packing in the first place!! |
a well thought out political calculation for APC field a popular candidate that could at least win 40percent of vote in the affected 90polling units as the deputy and let audu running mate be the governor just think out loud |
Shine1177:Mr man what are the pros and con's of smoking cigarettes? do the maths |
I don't know why our government think with their feet, this container issue needs a drastic solution away from the conventional way of doing things, after the ban ambode issued has it stopped container falling? have traffic left a papa road? it is high time we start looking at alternative means of transporting goods away from the roads, Lagos roads ate too congested, poor railway system, that fashola then issued a cable car contract that has not seen the light of the day, corrupt mofo that does not sign cheque. it so damn pathetic RIP to the dead anyway and my deepest condolences to their relatives |

I don't think it is a blame game although the previous administration tried a lot in this regard am not taking that away from them... but you Nigerians are Nigerians thief's everywhere . you could ask any farmer |
