AllforJesus7: I read somewhere that the big catch is Saka.
Also Ademola Lookman's switch is complete.
And Ebere Eze plus Ovie Ejaria have agreed to play for us.
If this turns out to be true then we would have a complete team. Except that Akpeyi would still be the one at the goal post. With all these prospects pledging for Nigeria, some enemies of progress would continue to clamour for the inclusion of home based players making up 20-25% of the composition of the Super Eagles team!!!! What is the use of calling up these home based players when they would not be used in a game and would only occupy space, preventing genuine talents that could potentially help us win games from making the team due to some misguided belief in quota system. |

idealogical: Well, all of a sudden the BH friend and supporter President of Chad lifted his finger to go after BH after BH slaughtered his men.
The man don't care and even look the other way as BH run in and out of his country to wreck havoc in Nigeria.
When we kill and chase them, they freely run into chase and their chadian army and collaborators let them in, they allow BH to smuggle weapons and supplies into Nigeria.
It's even funny how they know exactly where to go to seek revenge, they are BH friends and allies, they know BH and their location, they collect drone intelligence that they don't share from American drone bases in their area.
We decimate BH and destroy their baess everyday, but they restock and resupply weapons and manpower through Chad and Niger.
Good to see Chad reaping what they sow. I am amazed by the somewhat creative, albeit delusional minds we have in Nigeria. Bros, where did you get your information from? |

is it possible for human body to get sterilized without any deleterious effect? Am thinking since the virus can't thrive in warm environment, infected people can be healed by increasing their body temperature for like two days. The body does it for you by rising your temperature via fever. Increasing the temperature more could end up killing you. |

safarigirl: chidi, I don't know what kind of soccer analyst you are, but the moment I read this line, I was certain you are blissfully clueless about this virus and you have no business gauging someone else's knowledge
Let me not delve into how pathetic it is, that you would spew the same inane trash that white people have been spreading to make themselves feel better about their own inability to detect this disease.
Even WHO has applauded Africa for their response to the virus, but you believe they too, they don't know what they are talking about. Do you know that European airports were not testing travelers for the virus when they landed? Do you know the American tests go for as much as $3,000? Do you think 80% of the American population could afford testing? It spread because people could not even go to hospitals to get tested, because It was too expensive
Some of you can never believe that the white men you worship are fallible, you will rather believe that Africa is not doing enough, than that Europe/America actually messed up.
Let me tell you, if this virus was actually here, we would know. You know why? Because people would be dying at an alarming rate and someone would have spread word, the same way people were dying in a village in Bayelsa, and we heard it. The same way people died of Lassa fever in Ebonyi and we heard it.
People are not falling and dying, the virus has not spread, Africa is the least affected continent, white people can't believe it, so, they have convinced gullible negros like you, that it is your fault that the cases aren't widespread, that somehow, your government can detect Ebola and Lassa fever, but Corona Virus is too advanced for their minds, that all of you live on trees and in huts, so, you would not be able to detect a virus amongst you.
You are a brainless race, lesser beings, inferior to the caucasoid and mongloid races, you are incapable of handling anything within yourselves. Useless to the world and to yourselves.
Chidi, that line you wrote, is a disgrace to your ancestors. Safari girl, your arguement is flawed. Ignoring the personal attacks, which speaks to your maturity, the disease has a mortality rate of 2 percent. Meaning, there are so many people that have the disease that are not dead. 2. People die daily in Nigeria after a short span of illness with no autopsy performed to determine the etiology of mortality. 3. The price of the test is not 3000 dollars. It is a 100 dollars per run. In the United States, it is covered by the insurance and Medicare WITHOUT ANY COPAYMENT. 4. Also, you don't know what I do for a living or my location to determine my experience on this disease. |

safarigirl: I have updated myself, the post you quoted is a day old anyway
Egypt has 59 Algeria 20 SA 13
Th rest, not more than 5, and certainly not spreading as fast as the rest of the world. The three most affected African countries have a substantial non-negroid population, if you followed the virus well enough, you would notice this. Still no African deaths, and it has been on the continent at least two weeks.
Of course it is a pandemic, by European, Asian and American standards.
I clearly said it is too early to make any calls in Nigeria, and even added that when the time comes, CAF/NFF will make a decision based on what is on ground
No games have been rescheduled in any part of the continent and the leagues are ongoing, so, as of now, nobody thinks it is a pandemic in Africa. Safari girl, you are a good soccer analyst. However, it would do you a world of favor if you avoid commenting on things you are not sure of. You are right that corona viruses (which also includes viruses that cause common cold) are not commonly spread in warm weather and are prevalent in colder climates. However, even though covid 19 is a corona virus, little is known about its transmissions in warmer climates. Of note, Iran which has a fairly warm climate has recorded a high rate of the disease. As I said earlier, it is possible that the low rate of diagnosis in Africa could be due to lower rate of testing for the disease. Using Nigeria as a reference, tests for the disease is restricted to very few laboratories. Doctors in Nigeria usually don't include the disease in the differential diagnosis of flulike presentations hence the disease is usually not tested. Most importantly, a typical Nigerian would not go to a hospital for mild flulike presentations. |

Africa need to be very protective, you say na only 20 don catch am, make we no wait till e go enter 2000, my simple opinion. Ebola is more infectious and deadlier than the corona virus (it is considered a biological weapon by some). The hysteria with the corona virus, I believe, is due to the unknown about the virus. Corona virus is not even as virulent as the initial SARS virus in 2010 or as infectious as the influenza virus. Also, have you considered the fact the the low rate in africa could be due to low testing. How many people in Nigeria, for example, would go to a hospital for flulike symptoms, except they are severely sick. |

LaMujer: you get time sef.
the primary job of a striker is to score goals, not play for the team. Everybody has their job on the pitch. A 9 scores goals, not assist. The midfeilders are the one's whose job is to assist. that Bobby relinquishes that part of his job doesn't make him a role model for strikers.
Heck, you won't see any striker aspiring to be like Firminho, because he doesn't do his job. How can wingers be persistently outscoring you and you're claiming to be a striker.... Guys, let us call a spade a spade. Dennis is a selfish player. Honestly, would you have the same stance in arguement if he did the same thing he did yesterday in a Super Eagles match? I believe your assertion is due to the fact that you don't have any stake on the performance of his current club. |

Wrote some drugs which I have taken for almost a week now. The blood stopped 4 days and came back again on the 5th day that I am supposed to take the last dosage.
When I sleep at night now, my boxers gets wet again with the lond red worm....

Couple of questions before a diffential diagnosis:
A) how old are you? B) Did you ever smoke? C) is the the blood from your urethra, vagina or rectum? D) Any abdominal pain or associated symptoms with the blood. F) How long have you had this symptom and has it happened before. G) Weight loss, night sweats, rashes, diarrhea? H)Are you on any blood thinners.
These could help decipher your problem. |

Talking about Manu Garba. I sincerely don't think he is a good tactician. He says he believes in a form of the old Dutch style of play called " total football." However, if you look closely at his players you would notice that his whole emphasis is on endurance. Almost all players join in attack as well as defence, (unfortunately, this current crop of players forgot to read the part on "all defend" from his " all attack, all defend" philosophy ). Quick counter attacks and lots of running up and down the pitch are evident in his game. There is little emphasis on genuine match reading skill and ability on and off the ball, as emphasized by European teams ( compare this to the Dutch team 2 days ago, every ball movement was done with intent). Little wonder this current crop of players tend to bounce back late in the game when they must have worn down thier opponent from the excessive running.
The emphasis at the u17 level should be based on solidifying on the basic principles of football such as tactical match reading, movements on and of the ball, ball control and learning to play as a team. Endurance should not be the only major focus at this stage. It comes as no surprise that all of his former players are finding it hard to measure up years later (Ihenacho, Isaac Success, Musa Yahaya, Musa Mohammed come to mind). |

DrKlever: Same way opportunity has made the Brazilians and Argentines produce better footballers than United States right? Oga football is a culture. You only nuture it to improve. You can't compare talents from an area where kids sneak out of school to play football to another that will rather be cramming calculus. I would be careful the way you word that statement with regards to the Americans. Opportunity, talent and a "genuinely" well run honest system based on merit almost always creates immeasurable heights in any endeavour. You may be right that football (or soccer as it is called here), as a culture, is not popular in the United States. However, never assume that the United States does not have the talent as seen in Argentina or Brazil. Stereotypically, soccer is generally viewed as a "white man" sport played by those in affluent neighborhoods ("soccer mom" comes to mind) or by immigrants. This perception is not common with the women for obvious reasons. There are no professional female"American" football or baseball leagues in the United States. Their women dominate basketball and soccer in the world because those sports have professional leagues in the United States. Hence, their girls aspire to become like thier superstar mentors seen in those leagues. On the other hand, a typical "everyday American" boy would rather aspire to become a superstar American footballer, basketballer or baseballer. To them, especially at such a young age, they ascribe success to the prestige and financial remuneration that comes with playing in thier most prevalent sport, and understandably so. I sincerely believe that any time, "Soccer" becomes the predominant sport in the United States, and is seen by their male youths (especially those from economically disadvantaged background) as a means out of poverty, you would see another world dominance, as seen in the other sports. |

darkelf: I don't need him to score goals. At least an assist every two matches isn't a bad idea. Iwobi is inconsistent and unreliable. The reason I am hammering on this is because he seems to be our only AM at the moment and thus when he has his bad days, it affects the whole team. This isn't good for the Super Eagles. My friend I think you are being very inconsiderate. Against Ukraine, our midfield flopped immediately Iwobi was substituted. During the African Nations Cup, Iwobi controlled our midfield very well. Even in his club, in the penultimate game played at Everton, he did provide assists. I do not know what else you want my man. Yes, he is not a world class player but he continues to pull his weight no matter where he goes. The MRI checks for fusion of epiphyseal growth plates of joints that occur in boys usually from ages 15-17. Like all tests, there would be false negatives. My point however is that the test gives pause to anyone who intends on playing for the youth under 17, especially if they are falsifying thier age. Gone are the days when old men would bully genuine 16 year old talents from other countries under the guise of prodigious talent. Of course, in a couple of years when those same bullied boys come of age, you find that the old men cannot match up to them. Post MRI under 17 has given the Super Eagles genuine talent that can stand the test of time ( chukwueze, osimhen, ihenacho and co come to mind). Our zest for trophies at all cost in competitions, that is of no major significance in the grand scheme of things, almost ruined the Super Eagles. |

Sanchez01: He's good but he plays in a farmer's league. Plus, the clip shows a dummy opposition; like one sent out to make him look good.
I am ALWAYS skeptical when Nigerian soccer players are hyped, regardless of where they are grown. It tends to fade pretty fast as they most likely cave in in the face of pressure.
1. Where is 'little Messi' Okoro today? 2. Nigerians ranted when Messi was awarded ahead of Mikel in the u20 world cup. Today, the results are there for all to see. 3. Where's Iheanacho today despite all the hype?
To be candid, I stopped being freak about Nigerian talents a long time ago. It is true they always come out brilliant but give them 7 years tops, and you'd see a different player, far from the previous.
Till tomorrow, the only Nigerian players I regard are Osaze Odemwingie, Obafemi Martins, a bit of Taye Taiwo, and Ahmed Musa. If you are not consistent and play at a certain level for a longer period, you are as good as being forgotten.
The world today does not remember Luiz Adriano despite his incredible power and talent. My brother no matter what you do, you can't cheat nature. Nigerian players brought up in foreign countries do not have this problem since birth records are well documented. I sincerely believe the introduction of MRI to youth football has really saved Nigerian football. Back to the examples you listed, Osaze Odemwingie is the only Nigerian player, raised in Nigeria, that played football with his real age. That also reflected in his game during the waning part of his career, as he started aging. Nigerian footballers do not last more than 7 years as you stated because they are age cheats. Prior to MRI, oshimhen, Ihenacho, chukwueze would have been playing under 17 football now ( and would probably look the age!!!). We have to concentrate on more long term benefits than being seduced by immediate gains of shortcuts. |

Besides there is a difference between defending well and playing defensive football. They are two different things that people confuse together. Attacking football with a good defense and strikers that convert chances works My friend you work with what you have. Using your anology, would Guardiola use the same offensive mindset if he was the manager to Shaffield United? We do not have world class players like we had in 1994. Players we have now are younger, faster and more suited for quick counter attacks. PurpleHouse: The first and only thing Rohr thinks of, is Defence, Defence, Defence. I mean, what happens to ATTACKING the enemy?
He only plays to hit the enemy at the counter while soaking in the pressure. Reason why we always conceded goals.
We have a bursting attacking minded young lads, fast wingers, skillful legs in Iwobi and Aribo, great defensive legs who can push forward in Aina and Ebuehi, yet all we do is wait for the enemy to attack and then counter.
This is a perfect way to waste your potentials. There is a saying that goes thus "offense sells tickets while defense wins games." My dear playing to the gallery gets you no were in football. Moreover, a quality needed by a good coach is the ability to adjust your tactics based on your opponent and circumstance you find your self in. It would be suicidal for Nigeria to go all offensive on a team like Brazil and Ukraine(while playing at home). This is particularly important when you do not have a full compliment of your trusted regulars and are trying out new players for the first time. My dear Rohr has his many faults but this decision is not one of them. |

1) We need another number 9 to compliment Osimhen. I would go with Isaac success ( for speed, strength and hold up play). Onuachu is just too static for the kind of young players we have now. Currently our attack is centered on speed and mobility.
2) I also believe Iwobi needs competition in number 10. Ihenacho can be converted to an attacking midfielder for us (imagine ihenacho and Osimhen combination). Eberechi Ezeh is another name being floated. Azeez was not bad today but would need to be evaluated more.
