Mary112: Dunno about tallinn university, but taltech has these requirements:
When applying for a Bachelor's programme:
West African Senior School Certificate issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or Senior School Certificate issued by National Examinations Council (NECO) Note: The Examination Certificate must include 5 subjects for at least result Credit “C4” (including mandatory Mathematics and English)
it also depends on the programme you want to apply. they have quite hard online tests , I have tried one Thanks. Is there any place I get their past online tests for review? |

ndubuisi1213: My own is taking 1month plus now. Submitted my passport together with my application(paper route). Kinda bothered but nothing fake was submitted. What could be the reason for the delay in my case ? From what I learnt here, it's a good sign if you've not gottem BVL after 1 month. You should be expecting a medical request soon. |

I did my biometrics and submission since 18th of November. On the 19th, I got a letter that it is on its way to IRCC and on 20th got another mail that it had arrived. I just got a mail this evening reminding me of the biometrics, with a past date. What does this mean? I already completed my biometrics. Did anyone else get this message? |

Kabz: Never seen or heard about anyone who got a D-visa from China. Apart from the cost you should also be careful not to go to a country where you will not be allowed to enter. From experience some countries won't let you get in once they know you are coming to get visa to another country. So if you are not a frequent traveller to China or not going for "tourism", I'll strongly advice against using that route. As for comparison an easy search online will show you all you need to know. Thanks |

Linzo: Well the truth will be difficult to comprehend my dear, but that's it, the VO's may not openly tell you the hard truth. You can make your personal research or better still this thread will do the goof work for you. Whenever any delay comes in this thread try and ask for the person school and you will understand. Just do your survey from today. Finally brother, if your school is among these ones then fear not because your Visa is 90% on positive outcome Those applying for Bachelor's degree program nko? Or are they not refusing those ones too |

skimpy: it depends on your school. Information about it will be in clear terms when you are given the admission letter This means the Chinese embassy at least gives student visa. What's the flight fee from here to India and Egypt? Let's do some comparisons and see if the price difference is worth it |

Greetings everyone.
I've seen many complaints about how hard it is to get Egyptian visa to apply for Estonian student Visa. I have two questions that could actually help if I get positive response on them
1. China is easier to get visa to. Is there any restriction limiting us from trying to apply through China?
2. There's Estonian consulate office in Accra, Ghana. Don't they process student visa?
3. When admission is gotten, when is one required to pay tuition fee? Before visa application or after arriving in Estonia? |

blackfarmer1510: Hello Guys,
I arrived Canada on the 1st of September. It has not been easy. If I knew what I know now I would have thought seriously about this school thing. God has been merciful to me. My advice to anyone coming to BC...don't count on the idea that you can work part time to pay your fees or survive here. I live in Vancouver Island and attend VIU. Most of my classmates are Indians and most of them are only interested in getting residence. They get visa easily and can take a loan from their local bank to deposit money for their fees. If you ever get into project groups with them you are on your own. You will do the work yourself because they really don't care about their grades.
If you are coming to VIU or anywhere in BC, please come with Nigerian food stuffs like dry pepper and palm oil. Its very expensive. Don't joke o. Carry indomie..it is a life saver. I came with Garri Ijebu and groundnut. I came with pepper soup spice (fish and meat is cheap). Come with umbrella, rain boot and rain coat...it rains like hell in Vancouver and Vancouver Island but its not as cold as the other parts of the freezer (Canada is freaking cold...no bi joke) I brought all the Igbo food stuffs I can carry and forgot income. Please carry coffee and milo. You will thank me for it.
I stayed at an airbnb for one week before I found a house. Its not cheap and also because I wanted my family to join me I needed to get a bigger house and used the rent agreement in the visa application for my family. I applied for their visa on the 23rd and they received approval last two weeks.
People on this island are seem nice (like British nice..they pretend). There are jobs during holidays like now..everyone is hiring part-time workers. People here will tell you that come January...it is dry. No Work!!!
My advice to anyone coming to BC or even Canada; go and learn something. Guys, if you can learn how to cut hair..you will be very comfortable. You won't need to do any silly part time work. Ladies if you can learn to weave hair and fix weavon...you will be ok..trust me...you will be a big shot!. Don't come here thinking you can just do part time work and pay your fees without getting into trouble. I am not saying you can't wing it but trust me even if you work 20 hours a week which is the maximum you can work as a student...you still can't do more than manage to pay your rent and barely survive. If you are on th MBA program then forget it. Canada is looking for talents and not C grade students. They now look at your transcript when you apply for post graduate work permit or apply for PR. Don't think you can wing it...you need time to study.
BC is the most beautiful; place I have ever been in my life...trust me I have travelled to 16 countries including 20 states in the US and most of Europe. BC is wild beauty and you wonder what tourism potentials we really have in Naija. When you come here you will fall in love with nature. They also don't have good food. There is nothing like Canadian food. It doesn't exist. Their food no sweet...simple and short (I am a foodie and chef so I authoritatively tell you). Nigerians here are the worst people I have ever met. When they get here they see you and ignore or avoid you. I understand why the ladies will do that...you no bi oyibo and you no fit give them paper. But for guys...thats silly. Some of them try to speak with oyibo accent. For God's sake I had this accent since I was a child so stop it...it doesn't fit you...lol
I wish everyone applying for visa good luck. If you are coming to Vancouver Island University please let me know if you need any information or help. I can point you towards things like accommodation etc. If you are here and plan to bring your family...I can share my experience with you. If you are applying for a visa I have an advice for you; ask God to let his Will be done. I am not sure I will have the time to help review applications because I have exams starting next week till second week in December. Afterwards I will have all the time in the world.
Cheers Thanks for sharing |

Qudkom: Recent refusals based on Employment
It is your duty to explain your current employment stance to the VO. They want to understand that you have a viable job in Nigeria that can lure you and also want enough proof to verify that your program in Canada will boost your employability in Nigeria.
Common Mistakes: 1.submitting employment documents showing low remuneration and expecting the VO to believe that will convince you to come back to Nigeria.
2. Showing proof of employment in a company/Organization that cannot be verified. I once did an open source search on the CAC website and found out a particular company used by an applicant still uses an old land line number!!!!
3. VO's do verify social media platforms. So are you using your uncles company as proof of employment and your LinkedIn shows you're working elsewhere
4. Work experience not correlating with previous education program or proposed program in Canada.
5. Not proving why the program in Canada is of any reasonable expense or how it helps to boost your employment chances in Nigeria.
6. Claiming to study in a field that is technically dormant in Nigeria and hence little chance of employment. For example studying a program in Nuclear physics and claiming to apply the skill set back in Nigeria!
7. Stating that your employee will give a 2yr study leave! in Nigeria that is almost not possible unless you're a top ranked official or extremely important.
This are just some of the many mistakes regarding refusals based on employment reasons. Please avoid this mistakes. All the best. Point 7 got me. In my leave of absence letter to the chairmen of board of directors of the two companies I co founded, I requested for a 4 years study leave as I'm going for Bsc. It was accepted in the board resolution and all board members signed. Will that 4 years study leave cause issues? |

I have a question to all those that were denied visa.
1. Did you all do upfront medicals?
2. Did you use paper route or online application?
3. Did you notarise all your signed documents, including landed properties documents?
This will help in re application and also help those that are yet to apply |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by ChidimmaP: 2:41pm On Nov 15, 2019 |
JustMellow: Hello ChidimmaP,
With the detailed analysis on how far you've come in tackling some concerns that the VO may raised, in the process, you already answered your asked questions. The documents at your possession to tackle the purpose of visit, home ties and study gap are good, they will be very resourceful. Thus, the final step is to re-structure your study plan to suit these areas.
P.S: family ties and home ties are/can (be) used interchangeably.
Being single or a youth doesn't in any way affects showing home ties. Depending on how your present/package your application, a sponsor's (especially parents sponsorship) documents can fill in, depending on the applicant's circumstances. However, you can include any document that can show your level of establishment and home ties in your country i.e. landed property, inheritance, family, sociocultural or organizational membership, joint business, investment certificate, employment etc.
All the best. Okay! Thank you very much |
