ChidimmaP: Thanks for your response. I have attached the CAC documents of both companies, my CV also shows my position in both companies. I also attached my leave letter, board resolution for leave of absence and appointment of alternate director with other directors , including me, signing the document. I hope this serves as a great proof
However, I'm a bit nervous. Tho you've responded to me earlier regarding this, stating that it doesn't matter. I am 23yrs, left secondary school since 2012. And after 7 years, I'm going for a BSc. What other documents or how do I tighten my application to cover the gap in my last education?
Some documents I felt are neccessary that I have: 1. Apprenticeship certificate for a training I had from 2012 to 2014 the training is related to the course I'm going to study 2. Two emplpyment letters for different places I've worked after the apprenticeship. The two jobs are inline with my course 3. CAC documents of the companies I founded after I left the last job
How else or what else do I need to ...
Lastly, as I'm not yet married, what documents do I need to submit to.show family ties.?
Your response highly appreciated. Cc Frankrobbn1 |

JustMellow: There is nothing a pen and water coined with broad ideas can not fix. However, the second company position seems more suitable. The embassy will surely see what they want, especially if there isn't correlation or a convincing show of progression. Any which of the company you decide to use must have a substantial backing of proof. Thanks for your response. If my current role in one of the companies I co founded is chief operating officer, and I'm going for a BSc in computer science, do you think the embassy will see my course as something not related to my current job? The company is a software development firm. In the other company ,I'm the chief technical officer,, which I believe is inline with the course, computer science. |

Frankrobbn1: It's not an issue if the company is not providing their financal statements. After all, the canadian visa officer's don't have much regard for company Sponsorship. However it would make a whole lot of sense if you could include the company's CAC documents showing that you are also a co-owner of these companies, and also backup your claims with brief explanation in your SOP under the home ties sub-heading. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate |

Frankrobbn1: It's optional for sponsored applicant to include their personal statement. Oñly on the account that you've been in gainful employment with vast working experience would you be required to include your personal statement. Okay boss. I appreciate. I'm submitting the CAC documents of 2 companies I co founded. However, none of these companies are sponsoring me. I'm using a different sponsor. Would this a red flag? |

Hello gurus in the House. If I'm submitting sponsor's statement of account, do I still need to submit mine? |

JustMellow: Hello ChidimmaP,
Yes, it will suffice. My response is for both questions. Thanks you so much. I'm thinking of including my companies' CAC registration documents. Hopefully it will give me more chances as home ties |

JustMellow: Hello ChidimmaP,
Sorry for the panicked tension in getting response to your querry. There has been some successful applicants who used family friends as sponsors with a convincing financial commitment to the intended sponsorship/application. In my opinated contribution to your situation, as responded to, in permutational order below:
1. Using a family friend isn't a strong sponsor but to an extent, its exactly not a bad idea for as long as the financial commitment can be provided/showed. This is not saying you should misrepresent, in the erstwhile, applicants has presented their family friends as uncle to give it much weight if there is proper proof for it.
Thus, your chance is as good as other application if you put in a standard app.
2. Proof of source of funds, employment, sponsorship letter, financial documents, proof of funds and other relevant documents that can help your application.
3. Paying of fees isn't a requirement prior to the issuance of your visa but paying the first year tuition fees would help your application because
i. You're using a third party sponsorship, as this would show some financial commitment
ii. Your program is for 4 years considering that almost all UG program runs for this duration and the cost for the 4 years will be expensive. So, you have to show/Proof to the VO on your financial capability in duration of your program without recourse.
In addition, get your sponsor to have your first year LE paid into your personal account. Then your sponsor should also be able to show funds for both your tuition fees and LE for the subsequent year.
4. No, it doesn't.
5. Well recognized and a formidable institution.
Good luck! Thanks a lot for your detailed response. I appreciate. A quick one tho. If I have an amount that can cover my first year LE in my account, does it suffice for the amount the sponsor is to pay into my account. Also, I'm not married and have only a landed property and old parents as home ties. Is this sufficient enough? |

ChidimmaP: Greetings everyone.
I have some questions biko
1. What are my chances of getting a students visa if I don't share the same surname with my sponsor? That is, he is willing to sponsor me, has good amount in his account, but we're not related. He is a family friend and doesn't share same surname with me
2. What evidences do I need to provide to show that he will sponsor me.
3. Do I need to pay for my tuition fee before visa application if I'm going for a bachelor's degree program?
4. I'm 24 going for Bsc. Does it matter?
5. How recognised is university of Manitoba? Help please |
