In a rather strange turn of events, a woman has vowed against men and married her pet dog.

47 year old Amanda Rodgers from Brixton in south London was married to a man 20 years ago, but the relationship unfortunately lasted no more than a few short months, so dismayed she decided to swear against men and turn to dogs.

Amanda states that the reason she decided to wed her pet dog was because she had all the qualities that she was looking for in a life partner: “Sheba had been in my life for years, making me laugh and comforting me when I was feeling low.”

Proceedings started out in a traditional way, when Amanda got down on one knee and proposed to her pet dog, Sheba. Though the dog could not respond, Rodgers says that she “could tell by her tail wagging that she said yes.”

An unemployed Mexican builder faked his own kidnapping so his wife would pay his $450 ransom.
Eliot Garrido Guido, 36, from Mexico City enlisted the help of his friend Carlos Amilcar Martinez Reyes, 42, to stage the kidnapping and take photographs of him tied up an gagged.
Mexican authorities believe that Guido was embarrassed that his banker wife earned more money than him so worked on his devious plan.

Reyes brought his friend to a derelict house, tied him up, sat him on a stool and took photographs of him as part of the fake kidnap plot.
According to Mailonline,one of the photographs showed Guido with blood on his white tee shirt and with a gag over his mouth, while the second showed him in the same position but with a hood over his head.
The images were uploaded to Guido's Facebook account, with the claim that the unemployed builder had been moved 900 miles away.


According to the wife: '

When I saw the message and the photos I couldn’t believe what was happening.The kidnappers had demanded 7,000 Pesos ($450), and said my husband was being tortured.They said they would kill him if I didn’t pay up.I was seriously worried but when I contacted them they said I should leave the money at an address in Mexico City.I asked them why I should do that if they were in Playa del Carmen, and they just said do it.But it didn’t make sense so I contacted the police.'

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan had a grand plan to scuttle the coming elections for fear that if General Muhammadu Buhari(retd) of All Progressives Congress succeeds him, Buhari would send him to jail.

He said this at his Hilltop presidential residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State while talking with journalists. He said he broke his promise not to talk till after the elections because the elections were postponed.

Obasanjo spoke just as Nobel laureate and playwright, Prof. Wole Soyinka, warned President Goodluck Jonathan not to use security agencies to scuttle the current democratic dispensation.

Soyinka’s warning to Jonathan was contained in a letter he sent to one of our correspondents on Saturday.

A wanted suspect in connection with the murder of a youth leader at Ebubu community in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Emmanuel Jeremiah (22) has been arrested by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) of the Rivers State Police Command.

Jeremiah, who is reported to be a member of Dey Bam cult in the community, had been at large since the killing of the youth leader, William Adantha Samora, in 2013. His other cult members whose names were given as Asegoo, Nnanna, Parass, Sky Bee, Slim Body, Philip and Mba, led by a young man, simply called Mopol, were arrested after the incident and charged to Magistrates’ Court 2, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. .


Crime Reports’ findings revealed that Jeremiah and his cult group members were at a burial ceremony in their community called Ebubu on the fateful day when the deceased, who was also the vice president of youths in the community, hit one Ogoni boy, a member of Dey Bam cult group, with his vehicle.

The Dey Bam cult group members were said to have been upset at the death of one of them and had held an emergency meeting where it was decide that they would deal with the vice president that very night. The Vice President of Youth allegedly belonged to the Iceland cult group.

A new TV documentary about his surgery addiction has revealed how Micheal Jackson would have looked like without the surgeries .The documentary titled The 10 Faces Of Michael Jackson showed a computer generated image of how the legend would have looked at 55.
In the documentary, it was revealed out of all procedures, he was most nervous about his nose job, that he persuaded his older sister La Toya to act as a guinea pig.
Miss Jackson, 58, said:

‘He wanted to get his nose done . . . he kept saying: “What do you think? What do you think?” I said: “Michael, if that’s what you want, if it’s gonna make you feel better, get it done.”He asked me: “Can you be the guinea pig for me? Can you get your nose done and let me see how it looks, and if it hurts?” ’
