Autos / Re: Hit 300km/hr On 3rd Mainland Bridge With My Maxima, (check D Pic Out) by Chief2B(m): 6:44am On Mar 31, 2007
Right, Nissan Maxima doing 300km/hr(186 miles per hour). And I also heard that pigs could fly. Top speed for the Maxima is 140mph(225km/hr) on a good day(they are electronically limited).

Also, looking at the pic, that speedo needle isn't on 300, more like 265, nice try.
Crime / Re: My Dear, You Cannot Slap A Woman In America by Chief2B(m): 6:05am On Jul 09, 2006
Every state here in the US responds differently to "domestic abuse". Yes, that one little slap can be considered as domestic abuse. I have seen where the woman took that "little slap" and as the years progressed that slap eventually turned into a homicide. The woman kept taking that slap and kept letting the man get away with it until the man finally just beat her to death.
Louisiana takes a firm approach on "domestic abuse". If you slap your wife, the wife doesn't have to press charges, the state picks them up so you will go to jail.
First conviction:10days to 6 months in jail and up to a $1000.00 fine
second: 30days to 6 months in jail and up to a $1000.00 fine
third:mandatory 1 year in jail up to 5 years imprisonment plus a $2000.00 fine

Any questions?
Family / Re: Can You Date A Guy 10 Years Younger by Chief2B(m): 10:34am On May 18, 2006
I don't even have to ask her to know the answer to that one, she would have said "no". My wife prefers older men. Something about older men being more "refined" in their ways! grin
Family / Re: Your Husband Doesn't Wear His Ring by Chief2B(m): 7:53am On May 18, 2006
A "real" man that is devoted to his wife should be able to tell "others" that he is not available!

C'mon people, it doesn't hurt to say "No thanks, I'm happily married"!
Nairaland / General / Re: Most Abnormal Things We Do by Chief2B(m): 7:50am On May 18, 2006
Almost to many to list.
I am an obsessive clean freak. I will take things apart just to be able clean inside them(stove, clothes dryer, vacuum cleaner, etc.) I rarely go out because whenever I'm off work I'm normally cleaning around the house.

I don't socialize much, but dammit, I have a clean house!!
Family / Re: Should Every Property Owned By A Couple Be In The Husband's Name? by Chief2B(m): 7:40am On May 18, 2006
Sometimes it can't be avoided. When we bought our house, the bank would not finance it with my wife on the deed( because of her lousy credit score). I had no problems getting it financed but the only problem is the wife is not on the ownership paper. Now I can go to the Lawyers office and get a document drawn up donating half ownership to her in the event something happens to me. This might would work in your friends situation if all parties agree.
Family / Re: Your Husband Doesn't Wear His Ring by Chief2B(m): 7:35am On May 18, 2006
I don't wear my ring because my wife knows that I don't need to wear a token piece of jewelry proclaiming that I "belong" to her. She is "woman" enough to be able to keep her hold on me without a little piece of jewelry.
Family / Re: I Need Help: He Snores While Sleeping by Chief2B(m): 7:27am On May 18, 2006
About 4 years ago I broke my neck in a car accident. I had so much reconstructive surgery that I now have a lot of built up scar tissue in my throat and when I tried to sleep the throat muscles would relax closing off my airway. This led to LOUD snoring and no sleep. It's called Obstructive Sleep Apnea and it is a life threatening condition. By all means get him to the Doctor and get him checked. They might recommend surgery or the use of a CPAP machine(what I use to open my airway while I sleep).

Check out this website for a little self diagnosis:

So many different views, I am glad my wife doesn't think like some of you, she is 11 years younger than me and the age difference has never bothered her.
Food / Re: Olive Garden Or Applebees by Chief2B(m): 4:34am On May 09, 2006
Applebees is the best between the two. Olive Garden is over rated and the food is not near about as good as the commercial leads you to believe. If you want the best tho, go to Red Lobster and try the crab stuffed mushrooms!
Food / Re: Interesting Information About Mcdonald's Meals by Chief2B(m): 7:21am On Apr 21, 2006
McD's has got to be one of the worst "fast food" places here in the states. In the last 2 years, 3 of my children have gotten food poisioning from eating the "tainted" food.
I totally refuse to eat their food, but the wife every now and then sneaks out and get the kids some.

I'm sorry, but any place that uses a clown to entice kids to eat their food is wrong.

Family / Re: Can You Suck Mucus Out your Childs Nose With Your Mouth? by Chief2B(m): 11:51am On Apr 01, 2006
Yes it's nasty, but i don't see anything wrong with it (throws up), i mean it helps the kids, (throws up again), as in you know kids can't really breathe through their mouths well, n the nose needs some space, soo, she just uses her mouth and sucks it all out (throws up -- MAJOR).

Best laugh I have had all week!!! Thanks Hot-Angel!

Romance / Re: Would You Save Your Lover Or A Whole Nation? by Chief2B(m): 7:12am On Mar 24, 2006
But, what if, there is that ONE person in that Nation that you refused to save, that sometime in the near future, would be able to bring order and peace to the entire world?

Also, it could work both ways, what if that ONE person in that Nation was the one that brought more destruction and chaos to the world than anyone has ever seen?

What if you save that woman that you truely love, and a year into the marriage she brings you more agony and torment than you can imagine?

Is there truely a logical answer to this question on who to save?
Romance / Re: Would You Save Your Lover Or A Whole Nation? by Chief2B(m): 4:22am On Mar 24, 2006
Old saying "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one"

Have to pick Nation as well.
Family / Re: What Are Your Views On Divorce? by Chief2B(m): 2:14am On Mar 24, 2006
But be reminded that you turned that woman to a drug addict.

OK, I'm totally confused now. Just how did I turn her into a drug addict?
Why am I being compared to Bobby Brown? I never gave my ex any drugs, and after seeing my brother become an addict I was totally against drugs. Is Whitney a grown adult supposedly capable of making adult and mature decisions regarding her life? Did Bobby hold a gun to her head and make her take the drugs?
Drugs are a part of reality. They are here and they will always be a problem for the world to eventually try and solve.
I have no pity or compassion for addicts. My ex-wife was not only an addict but she was also a dealer. I have no tolerance for the people who destroy other peoples lives by supplying them with this garbage.
And I'll be damned if I stay married to a piece of filth such as this.
Family / Re: How Do I Deal With Disloyal Friends? by Chief2B(m): 10:16am On Mar 23, 2006
In my 45 years on this Earth, I have come to realize two things, your butt(rear, arse, bum)will always itch at the most inappropriate times and friends will screw you over quicker than anyone. Sounds like it's time to get some new friends.
Food / Re: What's Your Favorite Breakfast? by Chief2B(m): 7:33am On Mar 23, 2006

Family / Re: What Are Your Views On Divorce? by Chief2B(m): 6:56am On Mar 23, 2006
@ ono

No, I am not a Christian. My State job was that I was a supervisor at Angola State Prison. Here I was "guarding" the same people that my wife had become. If they had raided my house with the drugs there, I would have been incarcerated in the same place where I was working. Knowing this, do you think that she really cared for me by putting me into a situation such as this?
When she got so deep into the drugs and refused help, the woman that I knew, in my eye, had died. Friends came to my and told me that while I was out of town, for up to 2 weeks at a time, she was cheating on me. Does that sound like she really cared for me?
Yes, I loved and cared for the woman that I married, not the woman that she eventually became.
No man or woman should be commited to a life of misery in an unhappy marriage.
Family / Re: What Are Your Views On Divorce? by Chief2B(m): 4:15am On Mar 20, 2006
Sometimes a marriage can go bad. Why stay in a unhappy and potentially health ruining marraige? I have been married 3 times. The first marriage ended when I can home early from work and found about 4 kilos of marijuana sitting on my kitchen table. While I was working in a State Government job my wife decided to deal drugs while I was out of town. Now, would you stay in the marriage knowing that you could possibly be facing a prison term?
The second marriage ended after 8 years. If a person says that a man can not get abused in a marriage they are wrong. I suffered not physical abuse but mental abuse. I worked 2 jobs just to put my wife through college. When she got her degree it seemed that she had no use for me anymore. She refused to spend anytime with me, sex was out of the question. I'm a neat freak, so when I would come home after work, the house was totally trashed. She didn't care, she knew I would be cleaning it up. So after working 12 hours, I would be up another 6 hours cleaning, doing laundry etc. After about 2 years I had enough and got divorced.
I am now married to the most wonderful woman. We spend time together, we share in all the household duties, she supports me and I support her.
So yes, I agree in divorce because why stay in a crappy marriage when both could be happy with a divorce.
Nairaland / General / Re: How Did You Discover Nairaland? by Chief2B(m): 5:26am On Feb 18, 2006
@Seun

You seem like a good and respectable man who runs an excellent forum. A forum, from what I have read so far, is against scams and scammers. You might want to talk to a couple of the above posters because it seems from their conversation, they have totally forgot one of the commandments, #8. You shall not steal.
Nairaland / General / Re: How Did You Discover Nairaland? by Chief2B(m): 3:38am On Feb 18, 2006
Believe it or not, I was directed here by a 419 scammer. After I got into a debate with him he told me that if I wanted to learn more about Nigeria I should come here. He then ceased all e-mails.
Career / Re: Profession: What Do You Do For a Living? by Chief2B(m): 3:33am On Feb 18, 2006
I'm an 18 year veteren Police Officer. I was also a US Marshal for 4 years, and worked for the Louisiana Department of Corrections for 4 years.
Family / Re: Husband and Wife in the same Profession? by Chief2B(m): 3:30am On Feb 18, 2006
My wife and I are both Police Officers. I work only nights and she works alternating days and nights for another agency on the opposite shift. When she is off, I'm working and when I'm working she is off. Plus, due to bad communication between Police agencies we are able to sit down and compare notes and have solved many crimes this way. It also works out good because we don't have to hire a sitter to watch the children or a housekeeper to clean the house. It's a shared responsibility. So in our case, a shared profession is a good thing.

The family is fine, thank you, and yes, my oldest is 22. After looking at some of the birthdays and ages of a lot of the members here I do see what you mean by "oldtimer". But the way I look at it, I'm 45 years young cheesy

Family / Re: How Racial Are You Or Your Parents? by Chief2B(m): 8:35am On Feb 12, 2006
My father was an extreme racist. Being raised in the southern US, it's something that I have tried to live with all these years. I guess the breaking point was when I was in school I had one of my black friends come to the house to help study for a test. My father refused to let him in the house. Then he proceeded with an hour lecture on the evils of "black people". I left home when I was 17 and haven't looked back. I have my own home now and any of my friends are welcome regardless of what "color" they are.

@vichel
Don't worry, I don't trust the older white people as well, and I'm white and 45! But I think that your numbers are off. Here in the south it's more like 4 out of 5 that are still a racist!
