I bought this packaged Chinchin from Jendo at Abule Egba this morning. Although, I bought a lot of other items from there, but this particular Chinchin really shocked me. As soon as I got home and unpacked all the products I purchased from the store, I decided to have a taste of my precious chinchin o. Lo and behold, My precious chinchin preciously shocked me to the bone. Guys, I opened the lid only to discover that the seal had been completely broken. Obviously, a staff of the company must have tampered with it and had a taste of my precious chinchin. As funny as this sounds, what annoyed me the most was the fact that I did not check the cover before purchasing it. To make matters worse, I once had this feeling that something like this must have been happening at the branch of Jendo. 2 weeks ago, al also went shopping there, but on getting home, i felt that someone must have tampered with one the 5 alive bottles i bought there. The cover opened too easily without the normal stiffness. I waved it aside that it must have been my premonition. Guys let's always watch out when purchasing anything eatable at this particular Jendo store. Picture 1: the bottled Chinchin still covered Picture 2: The discovery. Seal torn completely

This is serious. Nigeria gradually becomes a lawless nation. Most of these criminals we see committing all these crimes are doing so because they have confidence that when arrested, their bosses or sponsors as they are called would easily bail them out. Our police are the most corrupt I have ever seen. If this story is not closely monitored as it should, they would just bail those cultists out and rope their crime on another person. If truly they have confessed, we need to know those behind the attack... |
Wow! What a song!!! Great songs you have there bro Nice one |
By Christopher Oji Children of a Lagos businessman, late Johnson Olufemi Idowu, have called on Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to save them from a powerful man who they alleged had confiscated the only landed property left for them by their late father. The family further alleged that the powerful man, Mr Ajasa, had pulled down the structure on the landed property on 56, Old Yaba Road, Ebute Emeta area of the state and started building on it. The family has, therefore, called on governor Sanwo-Olu, to wade into the matter and stop the building project and hear from the parties. The family’s representative, in a petition to the government, stated: “I am the last born of late Idowu. I am compelled by my family to draw your attention to the criminal invasion of our family property by a powerful man who claimed to be a property developer. “The building is on a piece of land belonging to 14 children of late Idowu. All documents to the property are intact with Yinka Idowu. We were shocked on May 8, to discover that an unknown developer had, without our consent, demolished the building and other visible structures and started construction work on the land. “We are begging our able governor to wade into the matter, stop the developer and hear from the two sides to determine who owns the land. We have no powers to fight as we rely on legal means to fight our battle. Who else can settle this matter if not his Excellency? Kindly assist us.” https://www.sunnewsonline.com/family-cries-to-sanwo-olu-over-invasion-of-property/

Great warrior! This is a repeat of what happened in the days of old when some Oyo warriors stood their ground and the battle to the Fulani to secure a huge victory for Yoruba land. |
Apart from Lauretta being an as...le as usual, she said something which I believe may not be far from truth. Dele Momodu only plays according to the dictates of his sponsors. So funny how internet robots jumps on any post to throw their passionate support for rogues who have turned their lives so miserable amidst great resources. As youths in this country, have you bothered to ask yourselves why instead of moving forward, this great country has continued to be on the reverse? This Buhari era is one of the worst we Nigerians have ever faced, yet, it is almost dufficult for you to see people come out bodly to express their dissatisfaction for fear of intimidation and oppression. Saraki's stand against the dictates of the presidency has made him a target for victimization. At this point, we all know therefore is a power play and the critics must be silenced at all cost, that explains the reason is he been pursued. Those throwing their weights of support for President Buhari should come out and explain where he has succeeded in any of his following promises; 1. Fight against Boko Haram 2. Security of lives and properties 3. Economic Stability 4. Inflation 5. Projects successfully started and executed 6. Strengthening of the Nation's currency against the Dollar 7. Electricity 8. Don't let me mention sports (but I already did) etc |

ozoebuka1:Bros! I do not see anything wrong with what the dude posted. He came across an information, culled it and posted it for others to learn from. Well, to the message, we all know the negative propaganda that has always been spread by the Igbos to the Yorubas in particular tagging them as betrayals and cowards who backed down on them during the civil war, now tell me, do you think the yorubas are fools that would want to jeopardize their pride just to allow an adventurous warlord deceive them into signing frivolous agreements that would have set clauses on their liberty? Next time you guys want to accuse people of betraying you, ask yourselves what propelled their not supporting your cause in the first place. |

Re- Recounting Exercise at INEC: Osun APC dismisses claims The Government of the State of Osun this evening dismissed claims by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) claiming that a recount has skewed votes. In favour the PDP candidate, Mr Iyiola Omisore. A statement by the Director, Bureau of Communications, Mr Semiu Okanlawon is released below: ‘My attention is drawn to another wicked lie being circulated by the PDP cyber rodents which unfortunately is gaining ground particularly in the social media, claiming that a recounting exercise at the tribunal had given the PDP a win with over 100,000 votes contrary to the figures declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the August 9th, Gubernatorial Election in the State of Osun. This latest falsehood by those who are nothing but a serial liars is calculated at hoodwinking unsuspecting member of the public into believing that they have any iota of hope in the worhless petition they filed at the Election Petition Tribunal. It is fundamental to point out at this juncture that beyond filing of petition at the registry of the Election Petition Tribunal, no proceedings has started till this moment of writing this piece. What we have had so far was an application for examination of all polling documents used in the conduct of the August 9 Governorship Election in the state to enable the petitioner maintain its petition. This application was granted to both APC and PDP and joint inspection is taking place at the INEC Office which involves only scanning of documents. The Petitioner is challenging the result in the 17 Local Government in the state which are: Aiyedaade; Atakunmosa East; Boripe; Ede North; Ede South; Ejigbo; Ifelodun; Ilesha East; Ilesha West; Irepodun; Irewole; Iwo; Obokun; Ola Oluwa; Olorunda; Oriade and Osogbo Local Government. Out of the Seventeen (17 )Local Governments where Election result were sought to be inspected, only Five (5) Local Government have been inspected as at the close of work today, 27th October, 2014 . The five (5) Local Governments inspected so far are: Obokun; Osogbo; Olorunda; Atakunmosa East; Irepodun and Irewole Local Government.’ Re- Recounting Exercise at INEC: Osun APC dismisses claims http://irohinodua./2014/10/27/re-recounting-exercise-at-inec-osun-apc-dismisses-claims/ |

Posted by irohinodua ⋅ July 11, 2014 …….Panel may be set up next week By Akinwunmi Ojuolape Ayo-Fayose1-FayemiOverwhelmed with fresh post-election evidence pointing to alleged grievous manipulation of the electoral process, the All Progressive Congress, (APC) has filed an objection to the result of the June 21 election which saw the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) candidate, Mr Ayo Fayose winning in the heavily militarized poll. In few days, the Election Petition Tribunal will be constituted by the judiciary to examine the claim of the APC in an election which outcome embarrassed the local and international communities. The APC, according to a top source is challenging the results in the 16 local governments won by the PDP. The Independent Electoral Commission, (INEC) had declared Mr Fayose, a former governor who was impeached in 2006, as polling 203,000 votes as against Dr Fayemi’s 120,000 votes. The result was first greeted with shock, then disbelief and now doubt. Following the outcome of the election, many observers had expressed bitterness and sometimes anger against the Ekiti electorate blaming them for voting in a man whose legacies speak of terror and savage guzzling of state resources. But now, following weeks of reflections and gathering of fresh evidence, there is a third theory: that the election was a product of high brow fraud, difficult, but not impossible to prove. Though Dr Fayemi had earlier accepted the result, he however left the conditional cliché, “if this is the will of the people.” Sources told IrohinOodua that the APC regained its tempo following fresh evidence indicating that the election result was a product of high-pitched state sponsored manipulation and conspiracy against the people of Ekiti State. Pointers to this were the complaints by thousands of shocked voters who claimed that during the voting exercise, ballot papers were of different make while many voters noticed that the ink disappeared minutes after thumb printing on the ballot papers, suggesting that photo chromic papers may have been used to manipulate the will of the people in what may turn out to be one of the world’s most heinous crimes. Days after the election too, the bulk of the civil servants and teachers in the state were said to have been thrown into a mourning, instead of the jubilation expected if indeed their preferred candidate was the winner of the election. One source said Governor Fayemi has been receiving text messages “in the average of 50 per second” mostly from civil servants expressing disgust at the poll’s outcome. A Permanent Secretary, (PS) in the state told IrohinOodua that the election was an attempt to “criminalise Ekiti people” through a fraudulent manipulation of the people’s will. He said he saw many civil servants “cry their eyes out” following the declaration of Mr Fayose as the winner. In what appears a reflection of the mood of many people in Ekiti state, the wife of the Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi said the Ekiti election was manipulated in favour of the PDP. She said “in due course, the full and real story of how the Ekiti elections of June 21 were manipulated from source will be revealed. There are many implications of Ekiti people having voted the way the supposedly did.” Yesterday, the APC Deputy National Chairman, Mr Segun Oni let an airpiece of the cat out of the bag when he said his party would challenge the outcome of the election. “The result of the election in Ekiti State did not reflect the wish of the people of the state and we are going to court to challenge this in due course. What happened in Ekiti State was a new dimension to election rigging in Nigeria. We are, therefore, ready to challenge the Ekiti election in court.” http://irohinodua./2014/07/11/june-21-election-apc-seeks-justice-at-tribunal-2/ |
Boko Haram: Police raid illegal immigrants in six states by Oluwole Josiah, Olufemi Atoyebi, Mudiaga Affe, Success Nwogu, Etim Ekpimah, Simon Utebor, Femi Makinde, Kunle Falayi and Emmanuel Obe Boko HaramThe police have embarked on massive arrests of illegal immigrants in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kwara, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states, among others, as part of measures to prevent the Boko Haram terrorist group from spreading its attacks to the states. Saturday PUNCH learnt from a police source that the Force embarked on the arrests of large number of aliens in Lagos State as a way of flushing out those perceived to be security threats. This followed an attack allegedly carried out by a female suicide bomber in Apapa area of the state on June 25. The source indicated that hundreds of such aliens had been raided by the police from different parts of the state. Though Boko Haram has been operating only in northern Nigeria, latest security reports indicate that the sect’s foot soldiers had infiltrated other parts of the country. It was learnt that since the attack in Lagos, police as well as the Nigeria Immigration Service stepped up efforts armed at arresting illegal immigrants by visiting parks and areas heavily populated by these immigrants. But the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Ngozi Braide, told one of our correspondents that the arrest of the aliens and illegal immigrants was not unusual, describing it as a “routine.” She said, “It is not new. We go to uncompleted buildings regularly to raid aliens. It is just part of our normal exercise targeted at ridding the state of illegality.” Spokesperson for the Ogun State Police command, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said, “We are aware that there may be pockets of Boko Haram insurgents here. We are working based on that knowledge. It is only sensible to think that if the North is becoming too hot for the insurgents, they may want to come down South. But the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye, has put in place strategies for this reason. “Arresting illegal immigrants is just one of the many options available to us. Other security agencies are currently working with us on these strategies to ensure that we do not experience any violent attack.” Saturday PUNCH investigation also revealed that the police had embarked on about 50 raids of identified hot spots in Kwara State within the past six months to forestall the incursion of members of the Boko Haram fighters. The Police Public Relations Officer, Kwara State Command, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents, stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ambrose Aisabor, had invigorated strategies aimed at preventing the deadly sect from infiltrating the state. He said, “We are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that there is no infiltration of insurgents in the state. We have raided some hot spots in the state for over 50 times within the last six months. We have good relationship with members of the public who provide us with useful intelligence.” The Ondo State Police Command, in same vein, said that it was working with the Nigerian Immigration Service to ensure immigrants were scrutinised to prevent criminals from gaining access to vital areas and threatening the security of the state. The command’s spokesperson, Wole Ogodo, said, that viewing centres considered unsafe were advised to close down so that terrorists do not find them as soft spots to cause mayhem during the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil. “It is not just a blanket shut down; we advised them not to open because such places may not be safe. It is an advice,” Ogodo said. In May, a joint taskforce in Akwa Ibom State raided markets and stalls in Itu and arrested dozens of immigrants who were later handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service for verification and possible repatriation. Saturday PUNCH investigation revealed that 612 irregular immigrants were arrested in Akwa Ibom and repatriated to their various countries of origins in May, 2014. The state NIS Comptroller, Mr. Abdullahi Garba, in Uyo during the week warned employers of labour against patronising the services of irregular immigrants, adding that they might be baits used by terrorist groups to carry out attacks on innocent citizens. The Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Mr. Etim Dickson, said, “We have a bomb disposal unit that takes care of anything gaseous or more. Although this incidence has not occurred in the state, we have taken a number of precautions like positioning our bomb disposal unit in public places such as motor parks, churches, airports, seaports or any other place that attracts large gatherings.” According to Saturday PUNCH investigation, Oyo State Police Command are also working underground to rid the state of aliens, illegal immigrants and people of questionable characters. In the last few weeks, plain clothed policemen have been present at major markets and bus stations. They mingle with the crowd but look out for their targets. The targets are people who could be standing idly in public places. A detective, who asked not to be named, said, “The police will not tell you what they are doing to ensure security. Such information is classified. It is top secret. But one of the measures the police are putting in place is to pick people suspected of being idle, especially in markets, bus stops and public places where many people are found at the same time. That is the kind of target that the terrorists pick as target points in order to get maximum casualty figure. Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hilary Opara, said the police authorities in the state had sensitised members of the public to monitor their environment, homes and business premises. On raiding of aliens, the police boss said the command was liasing with the Immigration authorities in the state. Opara added, “Actually, the Nigeria Immigration Service has apprehended persons that do not have genuine papers residing in Bayelsa. “Those who have uncompleted buildings have been asked to either complete them or evict those living there illegally.” https://irohinodua./2014/07/05/boko-haram-police-raid-illegal-immigrants-in-six-states/

Boko Haram: Tinubu Fires Back At Obanikoro By Olaolu Oladipo, Lagos Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu yesterday opened verbal fire on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, saying the allegation by the minister that it was him (Tinubu) and his friends in the opposition that created the deadly Islamic terrorists group, Boko Haram, was unsustainable as unreasonable as it was. Specifically, Tinubu who described the Obanikoro’s allegation as a political Boko Haram, which the PDP was the chief architect, noted that the PDP and the minister were, by the said allegation, establishing grounds for another round of clamping down on opposition, militarising cities in the country, as well as flouting the democratic rights of citizen with impunity. The opposition leader, who spoke through his media adviser, Mr. Sunday Dare, challenged the PDP government to step forward and explain to Nigerians why the over 200 girls kidnapped in Chibok were yet to be rescued, adding that they should explain why the Boko Haram insurgency continued unabated, despite the billions of naira that had been voted for security. “Obanikoro’s allegation that Tinubu and his friends in the opposition created Boko Haram is both fallacious and untenable. It is the kind of fable that can only come out of the mouth of someone who is delusional; one whose intoxication with power is not in doubt,” he added. In a statement signed by Dare and made available to LEADERSHIP last night, Tinubu alleged that “the defence budget to fight Boko Haram and Terrorism has become a conduit pipe for the ruling party, PDP, just as the likes of Obanikoro continue to use Boko Haram as a tool of blackmail against the opposition. This time, just like it failed in the past, it will not stick. It will not stand.” Accusing the PDP and the minister of aiding and abetting Boko Haram, Tinubu said, “It is the PDP led government in which Obanikoro is an active and pliable agent that is perpetrating the insurgency for pecuniary benefits. This government has no shame. It lacks the moral authority to point fingers at individuals or the opposition. The country is literarily on tenterhooks and all the PDP can do is lie to Nigerians in order to cover up its failures. “The PDP is preparing the grounds for its next round of hounding opposition leaders, militarising our cities and violating the democratic rights of Nigerians to move freely. This is political Boko Haram of which the PDP is the Chief Architect.” Maintaining that Obanikoro’s allegation that it was him and the APC that created Boko Haram was untenable, Tinubu said, “This allegation is both unreasonable and unsustainable, but not surprising coming from the person it came from. Bola Tinubu and the APC have been on record repeatedly condemning killings and bombings by Boko Haram and proffering solutions to the menace. “In Ekiti, we saw a dress rehearsal of the impunity and near brigandage of this government and its agents. Nigerians are urged to be vigilant before a few desperate persons steal our voices, our rights, our liberties and freedoms.” |
The beginning of the end of Aribisala’s fiction The Special Adviser Media to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in this rejoinder, dismisses Dr. Femi Aribisala’s latest column entitled The beginning of the end of Bola Tinubu DR. Femi Aribisala’s recent article “The beginning of the end of the Bola Tinubu Dynasty” should not have appeared in The Vanguard or in any newspaper for that matter. What this piece represented was a contribution to fiction writing, not responsible journalism. Even there, it was bad fiction. Aribisala is so obsessed with his animus toward Asiwaju Tinubu that Aribisala cannot see or think straight. Thus, his writing is crooked. If one did not know better, one would think Aribisala does not hate Tinubu as much as he envies the man. Aribisala wishes he were Tinubu. Instead, Aribisala is relegated to being the Asiwaju of his own imagination. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Asiwaju Bola Tinubu The article is presented as an objective news analysis and commentary. In doing so, the writer does injury to the newspaper, the truth and to the reading public. The piece begins with a purported quotation from Bola Tinubu himself used to paint him in an unsavory light. The problem is that this quotation never occurred. It was figment of the author’s dire, envious imagination. What was presented as fact is fantasy. The man has the freedom to write whatever he pleases be it fact or fiction. However, it is unethical for him to portray as incisive journalism what are nothing but the fruits of personal hatred translated into paper and ink. When the truth does not prove the point he wants to make, Aribisala invents his own truth. While this might be an asset for a fiction writer, for a public commentator, it is a serious trespass against the tenets of responsible journalism. Responsiblejournalism Aribisala may well be jumping through these unethical hoops to currying the favor of the monarch of Aso Villa. But he should not be so hypocritical as to try to confuse us that his efforts are done as a public service. The man actually criticizes Asiwaju for being a successful political leader as if doing so were some type of sin when , in fact, Nigeria is in great need of more far-sighted politician leaders not fewer. Aribisala claims Asiwaju wants to be another Awolowo. Here, why did not he quote Tinubu who has rebuked this charge many times? Repeatedly, he has stated there can only be Awolowo and to try to fit into his shoes is to lace yourself to failure. We must learn from the great one and the principles he espoused so that we meet the challenges of our time as our legendary mentor and leader would have us do. This Tinubu’s position regarding Awo. If you want to accuse Tinubu of believing that Awolowo is the father of progressive politics in Nigeria, he would plead guilty. But Aribisala accuses him of trying to supplant Awolowo. The accusation is wrong and mean-spirited. Again, at one point, Aribisala invents a Tinubu quote to as proof for his lies. Then at this point, the writer ignores Tinubu’s public statements because those statements rebuff the lie Aribisala seeks to perpetrate in the public mind. This comes to the meat of the matter. This hack writer asserts that Tinubu seeks a dynasty. He cannot be more incorrect. Tinubu is a leader of a political reform movement along with other patriotic Nigerians. When Tinubu held fast against the tyranny of the PDP and its attempt to capture all states by any means necessary that was the work of a man committed to democracy. If he had not stood against the great odds against him and his party, the PDP would likely have turned Nigeria into a one-party state by now. Instead, the APC has come about and now challenges the PDP in an unprecedented manner. Any objective person would conclude that this competition is beneficial for the public and for the growth of Nigerian democracy. It begs the question why Aribisala seems not to see this enormous contribution. He does not see it because those whose favor he seeks do not want him to expose this truth to the wider public. Take a look at the men Tinubu has helped in their quest for public office. Fashola, Fayemi, Aregbesola, Oshiohmole, Ajimobi, Amosun, etc. These men are not non performing “yes men”. They are all dynamic and outstanding performers in their own right. Each is different than the other and each state government excels in its own unique way. Dynasticpretence This means that Tinubu is not orchestrating them into some limited uniformity but stands out of the way for them to lead as they believe. No major politician in Nigeria has a track record as good as Tinubu’s when it comes to supporting able people for office then leaving them to perform as they believe. Nowhere in the PDP does this happen. If Aribisala wants to see and criticize something with dynastic pretence, he should do an expose on the PDP. In barking at Tinubu, he is barking at the wrong house. This brings us to the Ekiti election. The vote count is in and the PDP has been named the winner. Because there were few overt instances of violence, people have lauded the election as free and fair. I caution you not to be too hasty in drawing that conclusion. Slowly, the truth is coming out about how the military blanketed the state and intimidated APC members and office holders, including the governor himself. A new, subtler form of voter and opposition intimidation took place. We have taken note and shall be prepared to outwit it the next time.On a larger note, Bola Tinubu is one of the leaders of a reformist national opposition party contesting against a behemoth, immoral ruling party that will use any all measures to keep power. This is a long marathon we run. There will be obstacles and pitfalls along the way. Ekiti was one but we are not deterred. Our objective is good and right. We seek democratic good governance for the people. We are not ashamed about that. If seeking to make the people’s vote count and to make government care for the people is wrong, then let us be wrong. For we know that we will only be in the wrong to people with jaded vision such as Aribisala. History shall prove us right. Long after Aribisala’s efforts find their way to the bottom of the wastebasket, the APC shall stand as having pulled Nigeria from the precipice. And history will score Tinubu with high marks for ever remaining the one man standing. Sunday Dare, former General Editor of The News/Tempo magazine and former Supervisor at the Voice of America, Washington D.C. is the Special Adviser Media to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/07/beginning-end-aribisalas-fiction/#sthash.n6VsgkgT.dpuf |
Now we are getting there gradually. The wishes of Nigerians are about becoming reality. No more will we have a situation where a single party holds the country to ransom again. By the actions of the lawmakers, the clock of break down is ticking seriously for the PDP. With this development, i pray God strengthens the leaders of the APC to carry on the mantle on leadership without fear or favor, and for them to apply wisdom and principles in the discharge of their duties to Nigerians. No sentiments and ill feelings, PDP has really failed this nation. |
Garri the 1st: This attack against Ndigbo must be resisted by all sons and daughters of Ndigbo....Shame on you for this. We are talking about high level corruption, you open that dirty, stinking and disgusting mouth of yours to bring ethnic sentiments into this. |
Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has contributed a lot towards the sustainability of our democracy. A fighter who will do anything to struggle for the liberation of Nigerians from the hands of the bad rulers who constitutes major forces in the PDP. Even when all odds seemed against him, he fought to ensure the whole of south west do not fall within the obnoxious ruling powers of the people punishing people (PDP). The aftermath of the then Tinubu led ACN control of the south west is what has brought about tremendous development and growth in the region where all governors are unmatched in delivery. The current APC trend, as pioneered by people like BOLA AHMED TINUBU is not only coming at the right time, but a step in the right direction. What more would Nigerians want to crave for at this period if not a party to rescue the nation from the corrupt filled PDP politicians who are more than determined to further aggravate the plight of the masses. As it is, any politician cross carpeting from the PDP or other party would obviously have to deal with a party (APC) where discipline is a watchword, and the people of Nigeria, the number one priority. Bola Tinubu deserves whatever accolades that all corners of the world presents. May God continue to strengthen him the more..
