When God feels Nigerians have suffered enough, he will make Obi president to turn around Nigeria According to an emotional Igbo boy, who doesn't have any Bleep to back up his claims, other than lies. DesChyko: No. Your profession expects you to use "common sense".
But then, common sense is not common, that I understand very well. Sorry, parts of your professional common sense is lying. I salute you! Your problem is that you don't know how to defend, all you are used to is to attack with insults and lies. In trying to defend Abati and his colleagues, you could have used an acceptable opinion, rather than dragging the reputation of wherever you worked in disrepute. Kpele. |

dangermouse: During Abacha regime, Nigeria was worse off. The economy was bad and brutal. How come Nigerians deviced alternatives to cooking stoves if the economy was good? They even named the stove after Abacha. For those of us here familiar with the charcoal like stove that you have to load up with sawdust instead of charcoal.
Abacha and his cronies looted the country dry. Nobody can change that narative including you madam. I shake my head in pity, whenever some people (mostly who are Gen Zs) say they would prefer Abacha's military junta to democratic government. I have been in Abuja since the days of Abacha. My late Dad was an Assistant Director, my mum a teacher at Tundun -Wada Secondary school. The only car in our family was the Peugeot 505 my dad got as a gift while graduating 🎓 from the University of Ife. Life was hard to the point that fresh yam was sliced and sold at Wuse market, the only thing we enjoyed was the Government quarters for civil servants. We lived in perpetual fears. I remember in one of the days around 1995, Soldiers invaded Wuse zone 4 to seize kerosene that were stored and sold in gallons, they fired life ammunition and people were scrapping for safety, I had to run towards the now defunct alibrothers filling station and I couldn't go back home, because I feared everyone in agric quarters, zone 4 were already killed. I can go on and on with my experiences. Was it the Abiola trials that I will talk about? Each time the case came up at a court in zone 5, the atmosphere would be like there was war, children would be asked to leave school, because nobody knew what would happen the next minutes. |

DesChyko: Well, it means you are not privy to every information first-hand.
I've lost count of times I told persons a colleague called in sick when I'm aware they went on their business.
It's an unwritten professional go-to excuse. Any experienced Team Lead understands that sick leaves are taken with explanations given as a matter of courtesy, not necessity. So your so called profession allows you to lie, right? You are not in anyway better than the politicians you abuse on social media. In fact, you may be worse, just that there's no platform or opportunities for dome of you, yet. |

Then who is lying and to what gains? Excerpts from the initial reports from Ndume clearly read as follows: According to Ndume, the retired army general and his accompanying soldiers were ambushed near a frontline military base.
While details on casualties remain unclear, the lawmaker disclosed that a fierce exchange of gunfire ensued between the attackers and the troops escorting Buratai.
“We are in a dire security situation. Just two days ago, Buratai was attacked at the front operations base in Borno.
“His team responded gallantly, but the insurgents managed to destroy several military assets,” he said." |
