Your theory was correct until 2023 when Peter Obi ran under an obscure LP and defeated Tinubu decisively in the South. Believe it or not, Tinubu only got 5.6m Northern votes because Elrufai kept singing on the need for Northerners to keep their word and return the favour, despite sceptism from some Northerners on the untrustworthy nature of Tinubu. Tinubu betraying Elrufai simply proved all sceptics right. It was an own goal and this is not even just because of the figure, Elrufai. It's the symbolism of the treachery. It is also the major reason why Kwankwaso didn't end up decamping to APC. Trust deficit and fear of betrayal.

If Buhari had foisted Osinbajo on the APC, Tinubu would have decamped to SDP and the entire SW would have moved along with him. You know it. The cries about the betrayal from the North will also be sang in the SW for generations yet unborn. Tinubu enjoyed support from the North due to principles but he shouldn't push his luck too far to think he can impose a leader on the North. No one can. It will be viewed with too much suspicion.

Obi was able to “win” in the South, especially the South East and parts of the South South, largely because of certain non-political sentimental patterns. Unfortunately for him, many of those factors have waned drastically. The only one still strongly persisting is the sentimental call for an Igbo presidency.
The youth appeal has reduced to near zero, while the religious bloc has largely been erased because the Muslim/Muslim ticket they revolted against has turned out to be merely a political exploration, rather than a religious arrangement. Also the claims that Obi was decent or incorruptible were effectively buried the day he joined Atiku, Amaechi, Aregbesola, and David Mark in the ADC.
The North also did not vote for Tinubu because they loved him or because they wanted to honour any so-called unwritten agreement, but because they were playing politics. I don’t need to go into details.
If Asiwaju had moved to the SDP, he would only have played the role of a spoiler and inadvertently aided Atiku’s victory.

Lol. When the time is nigh and Tinubu has betrayed Ribadu, you will be here to tell us it was influence of some Northerners or international pressures that denied Ribadu the chance. Thankfully, we will never find out. But assuming you are right, would Tinubu force the North to vote Ribadu? Would the Southwest have voted Osinbajo if Buhari foisted him on APC?

To answer your question; why do you think people prefer APC and PDP? It is because they both have structural coverage across the country. If Ribadu becomes the flag bearer of APC, with the backing of an incumbent Government, walahi, he will win. To your 2nd question, if PMB had supported PYO, he would have been voted for in the SouthWest, because they wouldn't have had a better choice in another political party with a wider or equal coverage.

You people will betray him when the time comes. By this time in 2023, it was Elrufai you were tipping to rule Nigeria after Tinubu. You all have been unravelled. What about Shettima? Is he no longer the chosen one?

If only you know the intrigues that led to the breakdown of Tinubu/El Rufai relationship, it wasn't Asiwaju's alleged betrayer, but the influence of sone Northerners who saw Malam as a future threats to their aspirations.
There are 3 or 4 factors that can stop Ribadu in 2031:
1. The very unlikelihood of President Tinubu failing to win in 2027;
2. Atiku agreeing to work for Asiwaju in 2027 with the agreement of succeeding in 2031;
3. International pressures and interests; and
4. Above sll God Almighty.

There was no tension anywhere, it was El Rufai making a fool of himself. He should submit himself to the law and stop acting like he is a teenager. Running to BBC Hausa for preemptive talks won't prevent him from answering questions that bother on his stewardship while in office as Governor of Kaduna State.

These people are getting it wrong in many fronts: 1. They think this is 2013/14;
2. They think Jonathan and not Tinubu is the President;
3. They also think Barrack Obama and not Donald Trump is the President of the US; and
4. They don't know Tinubu started his journey to be the President of Nigeria since 2007.

Thy will have to choose between Tinubu’s victory in 2027 or watch Nigeria slips.

Tinubu does not own the APC even though he has tried, since assuming power, to scheme out other blocs that came together to form the party while personalising the party and turning it to ACN pro max. His influence on the party will wane once he's voted out in 2027 and all those singing the mandate song today will turn against him and drag him through the mud, headed by Wike. PDP produced at least 3 presidents. What was their influence on the party after leaving power? I know deep down that you may not hate Asiwaju as much as you portray here. Rather, you are disappointed by the way he treated Malam El-Rufai. I do not know your relationship with Malam, perhaps you are his son, perhaps not, but here is Malam’s most prominent son openly endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Reflect on this for a moment. Do you not think that Asiwaju and Malam could reconcile ahead of the 2027 elections? Consider this carefully, because in Nigerian politics, impossibility is nothing.

People in the South West have a long history of going to the cinema that dates back to the 1970s. It is possible other regions don't have it as much.

No offence, I'm from Ikare Akoko in Ondo State. I grow up to know Terere Cinemas in the 80s Baba Sale and, Jide Aromire used to bring their movies to the cinema around 80s, also Saija Cinema owned by a prominent Politician in the mid 90. I watched my first ever live Champions League live match in Saija in 1998.

Bros, rather than wailing here and shouting fake stats, if you have the resources, or the means to access them go back home and establish a cinema in places like Enugu or Owerri. Don’t go to Onitsha or Aba. na mostly out-of-school people full those places. Though they’re doing very well in trading, they won’t really appreciate going to Cinemas when they can have fun in bars and local joints. However, you’ll have to be heavily involved in serious social media awareness and PR. I hope you saw how Funke Akindele and Toyin Aimakhu marketed their movies, like their entire existence depended on it. That’s why the Yoruba States dominate the stats, we support each other, especially when we are legitimately doing well (the right thing).
