James4bright:Thinking about it o, would be great, but noise is the main thing, cat go better sha, single rooms doesn't not allow pets, if it was an ensuite, it will be easier I have a charity organization that will even pay me to keep pets in my house and care for them, imagine that, 9 Likes 1 Share |

Alday:Conversion is the easiest way to save money here o, if you just see €10, it looks so small and you can throw it to buy a snack until you convert it to a currency you're familiar with. An average family in the northern part of Nigeria can live, house and feed themselves with 10,000 naira, when they see me and say Corpers are rich, it now made sense. I started living on only the 19800, cut down my expenses and all, didn't bother my parents at all, except when I wanted to go home, as far as the place is from Lagos, I travelled 4 times in my service year, even though I once spent three days on the road, cos the bus once broke down. I spent at least 12k to travel from kebbi to Lagos, so I had to collect money lol One of my wonderful neighbor brought her son who couldn't read, after I drilled him for two months, the boy picked up, the mother saw it as a miracle and put me on monthly stipend, it was small tho, when I was leaving the place, I was teaching almost all the kids in the street, about 12 of them, lol. One of them who was not very sound was among the first three in positions, come n see party. I ate lots of beef eh. So the way it works is that you have to convert in the currency you're used to which is in Naira, as our currency does not have value, the 10 you're bringing out is 4000 naira, but if you're used to a hard currency like Pound sterling, euros or dollars, Then you will feel better shelling out the money in Naira. 11 Likes |

I'm sure you all noticed my gloves, well i use it when I'm cycling mostly, it's not cold like that, with the way the wind does here eh and the wind I get from cruising speed, my fingers can get numb. You know how it is when you turn on the fan with the AC on. 9 Likes 1 Share

Just got here, one of my client was just being difficult cos his "son" was off for the week, I was weak Mehn cos he was rejecting food, easily irritated, I didn't even want to go in, was just weak till my eye caught a glimpse of something white walking towards me, it looked so small tho, like a big rat, This is how most dogs in the city of dublin looks like, lots of small size dogs cos they can fit in the house, small dogs, small food, small Shit, small problem. I even saw an adult dog the size of a grass cutter, very small, they said he don grow finish. I was shocked. I spent a considerable amount of time patting this dog, I really felt better afterwards, really miss my dogs in Nigeria. 8 Likes

Hi folks, this has been a very tough week, thanks to just one of my client o, it was so tough that a white cute dog popped out from no where and gave me a good shot of comfort. It really helped like mad. I'll drop a picture later. The picture below is what I learnt from the Grannies of the Charity shop I volunteer in. When I was moving two weeks ago, I packed, stuffed, loaded, pushed, moved, shifted, arranged.....the part of my body that bore the brunt of it was my fingers, it peeled, you'll see it in the second picture. I was just in pain everytime I put my hand in a tight place like shoe....till I remembered the scenario that happened before the Lockdown. One of the friendly open minded irish volunteer there had a tape on of her fingers, as usual, in my curious nature, I asked and she told me. I can be very curious Mehn, I remember when my sisters will be gisting me and I will stop them and ask why didn't they ask the other person why it happened the way it did or just some questions I would have asked if I was there, lol. That's how curious I've always been. The saying that HE WHO ASK QUESTIONS NEVER LOST HIS WAY has reinforced my compulsive nature....but CURIOUSITY KILLS THE CAT sef dey, Ooin, I'm not a cat. I still remember as a kid, I asked one of my mums friend who I observed I have never seen with a man, only with her two sons, I once asked her, Where your husband? Mama chased me and gave me a wake up knock, the Hard knock made me process and think till I knew that it was a sensitive topic, it took me time to come to that tho. Mummy Charity told me that she puts a tape around her fingers when it flayed so it doesn't keep expanding as we use our hands but is protected by the piece of tape, that part especially when it has opened up and it's getting painful, can heal under the protection of the piece of tape. I left mine for a day then changed when it started looking funny and the wound dried up. They were the first irish folks I really connected with and I learnt a lot from them, I shared some of them already, but will share more as I go on.... 4 Likes

badmanjo:Well, I didn't lose at all, haha, I was just lucky, the landlord forgot to collect rent, on the 6th day of no rent, I just woke up one morning and said I should start looking, and I viewed two houses that evening, first room was €670 with no furniture, just bed n wardrobes and it was a bit farther. This one was €550 with €50 and it's in the right location, great view. Just yesterday, I spotted a Red fox in my backyard, I was mesmerized. My backyard here is huge, long and sexy with a beautiful lawn, it even has something like a Christmas tree at the back. I'll snap n show you tomorrow. We have two washing machine, two kitchens, three toilets n bathrooms for maximum of 7 people. We're only 4 in the house The house I left had three toilet n bathroom, one kitchen for the maximum of 12 people, we reached maximum capacity when I was leaving the house. Though I had bigger fridge n freezer space cos I was staying in a single room. Something was telling me to demote myself to a double room and squeeze myself in small storage space and discomfort, what's the difference between €450 and €550. 7 Likes |

Brodapounds: hahahahah E weak me Gan, I had to sit and think for a while tho, lol, It's not every time we get comments like this. The way the laws here is designed eh, it protects prostitute and punish The Seeker. It's normal for us to get it for free cos if you go to the government and raise your hand that you're a prostitute, the government will cover you with a blanket, put you on welfare, you'll be getting money. Good money. The government has killed it here o We all have to package ourselves and compete in clubs for the thing..... The illegal migrants and students are the ones that might prostitute but it's hard, very hard. You'll have to go to select sites and get it, and then, it's just complicated, I've been approached in Lagos by bookers, no one has whistled at me at night talk overt gestures. Fear not, shoot your shot, e go hard for irishwoman to call you out when you're in Nigeria, if she tries it, hundreds of boys will say they were the one. Rather the best thing is chase other foreigners like Italians, French, Latinos.... my mouth is watering already... 8 Likes |

lagusboyyy: That's true ooo, Covid has exposed the USA for what it is. Things are not as they seem afar. But Nigeria needs a lot of control. I got very green with jealousy and shock when I discovered my South African neighbor don't need a visa to come, work and live in Ireland. It is what it is 1 Like 1 Share |
