My backyard

You can see the Trees, from my view in my window,
I bought another bike, this one is a road bike for speed. The ride quality of the foldable bike is boring, just 8speed gear, the ride quality of the road bike is flick, it's a 24 speed, higher the gear, more the speed and variation to work with.

The gear system, I learnt it from my dad, he explained it to me when I was younger and it stuck. He even compared his jeep then to those dangote trucks without the container attached. That even though he rides an SUV, dangote truck can get to a higher speed over time. Which might be quite true.

Its easier to shift from 1 to the 8th gear on the foldable bike, but on the 24 gear bike, I'll still be shifting and getting faster.
Also the foldable bike is made up of aluminum, the road bike I got was made from a lighter metal called carbon fiber which of course reduced the weight of the bike and made it easier to climb hills and get ready a higher speed.

You can spot the trees at the backyard, they're so close to the roof of the house, these are very old trees that if it were in my village, witches would have made it their conference room.
It's like a superstition. I would love to believe they are not real. But i have read evidences, there was a huge old tree at Alaba, side, that huge long road leading to Festac. When.the Fashola government was reconstructing the way it looks today, the place now is a farcry from what it used to be. You know now Raji does, once your house or shop is in the way of his project. Youre getting a notice to leave and theres nothing you can do. Alot of folks paid for the way Lagos is today, but given the result, we all know that it worth it.

Theres how you'll be in a tight small road and be experiencing holdup, you'll be eyeing those houses by the road and wish they were gone. The terrible nightmare those people who live around badagry go through is caused by this issue also, people build all sorts of Shanties and illegal structures very close to the road. Some people even sell those places and give C of O.

Lots of building that supported homes and businesses went, remaining one one huge ancient tree. They said anyone that tries to cut that tree is going to die. They brought the priest in charge of the thing in the tree. He said they needed to provide 27 human heads, lol. So the government should go and catch lagosians and cut of their heads abi. The government had lots of money to enjoy, you know na, our national cakes and all. So they negotiated. I read it in the guardian or punch newspaper then so the full story wasn't published, the priest brought it down to 10 heads, and some egunje. Maybe the government in a bid to appease the gods and to build roads we will use today, rounded up hardened criminals that were due for execution and gave them to the gods.
Nigeria government, ha, they wont tell us.

Hopefully the gods did not spit them out.

I haven't taken the training infact I haven't have the time to check the HSE platform let's wait for @chiggslover to address this. I will also make sure I check up the site. how much is the training?

HSE certification is expensive, €200 per module I guess.

I just completed my online training for all health workers. Will that suffice. ( it is called PPE. I think it is in affiliation with the UK directive. My hospital made us all take it. )

Also Nigeria is not among the countries listed in the HSE platform when you try registering

You might need to apply to HSE directly, this is the health ministry. You can check other parastatals for for such opportunities, the key, is to research, I would have checked, but I have lots of commitments,
Masters student, I volunteer at two different organizations, I pour my mind here , and have to work for money.

The lockdown really gave me more time as classes are online.

Lol you still need fridge for your food and groceries. However during winter, I remember leaving cooked rice in my rice cooker pot for three days and it was chilled and fresh like it had been in a refrigerator.

That's why I love winter.
I noticed that dustbin smells good then. Compared to how I contort my face when I pass a Nigerian dustbin truck. Even hours after the truck has gone, I'll still be perceiving the armpit smell.

No do am purposely in Nigeria o, I know I'm bold, but lagos, I respect them, I take precautions, I never got robbed. Only time I ever lost a phone was when they broke my door while I travelled in Nigeria.

You'll just do an online assessment that wont take long and that's it. You'll be earning from €15 while I'll start from €11.45, from September, I'll going to start the QQ level 5, so I'll can get to your level. Instead of me to be doing warehouse job in freezing rooms, I'll pass.

Inside it, is it really a cave, its man made actually. Let's use the Lagos term and call it Underbridge.

As I was going for my training last Thursday, It was 30 min away, I packaged myself, picked up my briefcase as I had documents to submit, I didnt feel like cycling. Plus the terrain was sloppy, not soapy.
So I embarked on the journey with my Legediz Benz. I would have taken the bus, but the route as you'll find out later isnt bus friendly. Based on the map estimates, if I take the bus, I'll walk 10min to It, it will take me round and I'll still another 8min. It was an office estate.
That's how it is here, Office estates is like a huge closed compound where offices are located. Instead of building and designing your office building, you go to the office estate. They call it Business Park. It can consist of like 50 buildings, at most three stores. Ireland dont like skyscrapers, they feel that until Technology can find a way to take care of fire problems in the skyscrapers, theres no way the city will invest in it.
The highest you'll see here is 9. That one eh.....
It will have lots of infrastructure and others codes in place that will make it complex for the engineers to handle.
In a 30 storey skyscraper, if fire is to happen in the fifteenth floor, how will the hundreds of staff above the 15th floor come down, will they Jump down.
They also think that skyscrapers are Soulless, with the glass exterior, it looks bland. No intricate design that comes from the depth of human creativity.
That's why most Part of Europe still maintain that look.
I saw a shot of Dublin about a hundred years ago, if I tell you there was no much difference apart from traffic light, caneras and others.

I hung my Sony headset, and started with the map as my guide. 20min into the journey, the map told me to turn left, han han, I waa wondering, where exactly, it happened that theres a short path with the way the grass showed traces human movements.
The google map shouldn't land me somewhere I dont know o.
As I was walking, the path hasnt been of much use, I guess it's the lockdown, or the fact that people troll there during the summer, winter just came n left.
I had to look back to see if I was safe until I got to the mouth of a cave, I've seen this alot in UK movies, we call it Underbridge, it's a place homeless people take shelter from the rain and sun in Lagos, even those who hawk also.
This particular cave was kinda scary, it was my first time, what if I was ambushed, I shook that thought knowing that I'm no longer in Lagos, the irish government looks after me better than my fathers land. They've ensured that I never starve to death, and that health wise, I'll be taken care of.
With that thought, I charged into the cave and something struck me. It was filled with Graffiti.

I didnt have the time to snap away, the pictures shows I was walking n snapping away. Coming back, the Nigerian man gave me a ride back home, That's something an Irish, generally people in developed countries dont do. I didnt ask for it, I get pride o.
