Called the number on the advert and was told the interest is 6% per annum (thinking tis small though) or will my interest increase as I top my funds?
Also Care agent who picked my call claimed fx rate is about "300 and something", I need to be sure ooooh- (I'm just a kindergarten when it comes to Financial Literacy) Are you sure about the FX rate? So you can purchase in naira? |

GTB is the best for dorm accounts in Nigeria, I don’t think any bank comes close. I successfully transferred over 5k today without any problems although cash withrawals was not available.. |

OgogoroFreak: In the last presidential election, Atiku obviously got more votes than Buhari but what happened in the end?
Rigging is not a smooth ride, you have to atleast, make it believable. Hence, the vote buying. Atiku did not get more votes and both Atiku and Buhari were one coin with different faces. Anyone that was expecting any thing meaningful from either of them is among the problem of Nigeria. I would rather not vote than vote either |

Our votes don't count!
^^^ Does that sound familiar? I don’t believe votes don’t count. How about vote buying that is the trend currently? |

I strongly believed, one day we will get it right. So which nations of the world are other people not doing great? Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. Nigerian leaders are also Nigerians. Nigerians are the one still voting the bad leaders. Nigeria needs to invest massively in Education not the corrupted education where people are only after certificates |

Devaluing of the naira is inevitable at this point, it can only be delayed. If this administration successfully evades it, another administration will still do it. In 2012 the entire Nigeria protested against subsidy removal, today whether or not the subsidy has been truly removed, fuel prices has almost doubled from 2012 price. Nigeria leaders keep creating more problems for the country, we have now moved from oil subsidy to dollar subsidy! |

Donbrig: Nigeria has one of the most unproductive populations on earth. I still cannot understand why some states have over 6 universities, prouducing half baked graduates or semi-literates into our labour markets. University degrees are overrated in Nigeria. It is time for every state in Nigeria to have state-of-the-art vocational institutions. Even if we devalue naira to help local industries, we still don't have a viable and knowledgeable populace to pull the trigger for industrialization. This is just the truth. Nigerian Education is mostly useless. People only care about paper certificates and not knowledge, sometimes when you discuss with the average Nigerian graduate, you can’t but just be surprised. No difference between the average “educated” Nigerian and the uneducated ones. People comparing China and Nigeria forget China has a very productive population, that was why many countries outsourced labor to them which led to the economic explosion there. What we have here is an unproductive, consuming population growing rapidly by the second! The leaders are not the only problem of Nigeria |

To have a better life anywhere in this world you need money.
All my childhood friends who stayed in Nigeria are multi millionaires now.
The ones who i lived with in those days who returned home have also made it big.
Most people living abroad for years are just getting by. All you are going to be is no more than basic. No need to stretch this topic but this is just one sided talk. What is the minimum wage in Nigeria vs elsewhere? |

Godbpraised: You seem not to understand what is meant by oversubscribed. i will also advised u tone down on ur views about Canada/Nigeria migration talk, so that people do not feel less of themselves being in Nigeria. as u can see some people are doing well in Nigeria . Also this thread is not for migration talk. my 2cents. What I mean is that people would rather buy up any available security at very low rates than invest in business. That was what I meant I don’t know why I was misunderstood and I’m not an advocate of migration, I believe that’s a decision anyone should make for themselve, but don’t discourage people that want to migrate. That’s all |

Barrytone: I don't know Lagos, talking about where I know. I stated earlier that criminals prefer homeless situations. Attempts were made by some traders to be sleeping in plaza, crime rate increased and they were comb out. Nobody sleeps there. And that was the genesis of plaza police station. Where homeless people hang outbid always a criminal hangout ànd we don't tolerate that in my state, you must have a traceable house. Don't be caught napping at night in public, na police station you go take reach house. Abeg make we hear word with all these cockk and bull stories https://m.scooper.news/tanzania/2020/04/16/lady-takes-care-of-a-homeless-street-boy-she-met-in-akwa-ibom-photos/9564632 |

Barrytone: Why should someone passing through and maybe spends max of 2 days in a town rent a house. That fraction should not be part of your data for making Uyo people "homeless". I repeat, every resident in AKS owns a roof over his head. People who sleep in parks are not only travelers. If you want me to believe there are no homeless people in Akwa Ibom I want you to also believe there are no homeless in Lagos too. |

Barrytone: I have Britons and Americans doing manual jobs in my company, are you saying those two countries are doomed. I repeat nobody sleeps in park here except luxurious bus parks that those itinerant workers sleep in their office. For people to constantly reside in the park as their homes. No way. Visit akwa ibom and believe me. All parks in Uyo are well managed. I repeat, never met anybody that lacks an abode in AKS. You are trying to hard to prove your statement to be right. You should have known when to stop.. |

Barrytone: Be sincere to yourself, ever think how they got the data. Have you ever taken part in any survey talk less of the homeless. Common census, me and you knows how they arrived at the population. AKS, (am using AKS because I stay there, grew up there) has the best parks in the country. Its a public place so no point hyping. We don't have people sleeping in parks. Like I tell people, following the $1 dollar a day, nobody is poor in AKS, even boys that says "show me love" some are staying in elite estates. Helper for bricklayer presently gets minimum of 2k a day. Mere selling poor water of 80naira for 10naira gives you a profit of 120naira per bag even you don't need the initial capital of 80naira to start. Any body can decide to be lazy and there is nothing the govt can do about any one that refuses to hustle even the bible said it. I repeat, we are not poor. Stated earlier that I built my first house when I was jobless in the same AKS when my mates working in Lagos and abj then don't know what owning a land is. I even preferred that joblessness(popularly called hustling) to certain white collar jobs. Akwa ibom must not be in Nigeria. If Akwa Ibom is as rosy as you are sounding, Akwa Ibom people will not be all over ph doing menial jobs. FYI.. Any state in Nigeria where people are not sleeping in parks means the state is economically dead. |
