Politics › If Mandela Was From Nigeria.....are We Learning From South Africa? by chigodo(op): 5:42pm On Dec 09, 2013
IF MANDELA WAS FROM NIGERIA...
He would be buried in April nextyear.
If he was from RIVERS STATE, Amaechi would have declared one week work-free.
If he was from IMO STATE, Rochas would have closed down govt offices, markets etc.
If he was from Nigeria, a 32-man burial committee would have been formed with intence lobbying.
He would be buried with a gold-plated casket of which the price would be a subject of controversy.
The burial committee would disagree with the family on many issues.
Are we learning from South Africa?

Seun this should have come much earlier than this and would have saved us all this free for all, believe me I'm totally disappointed, this is your third comment in this thread and the last two comments you made were even more annoying than that of your 'mannerless' moderators because you were practically enjoying the exchange of vulgar words on here. This is my second comment on this thread and likely gonna be the last but I'm angry because I brought my friends to your forum especially due to Mazi Omenuko's lovely literature and your moderator said the people in this struggle are kids, jobless,ASUU victims etc
I must tell you that if everybody is complaining that your moderators are rude, then you need to look into it,I don't think they are all saying it because they all hate your moderators,I strongly believe there might be an element of truth if properly investigated,if you must make progress you must have people who can control their emotions moderate your forum sections.
My 2 cent.
Cheers.

Seun: Dear Nairalanders,

We really care about making you happy. We are looking into these complaints with all seriousness and trying to see what can be done.

Best Regards,
Seun Osewa.

I've been following this thread from the beginning and its time to speak my mind. First I recognise you mazi Omenuko,a man that made me enjoy nairaland for the first time in the literature section and I know many of you knows him,Mazi, ekeneem gi!

Now back to the topic,I must say at this juncture that the way some moderators in this forum are behaving is rather unfortunate. I wonder if they ever care about the future of this forum and Seun's approach to this all important issue amuses me even the more,I wonder if they know that we the members are the reason nairaland is booming and if we mean nothing to Seun and his moderators,to the extent that some moderators are calling members rats, ranting children etc, this is a faceless forum, you don't know who is who, hmmm I'm afraid.....THERE WAS A FORUM!!
You just spoke my mind. If he had put up such a statement at the beginning of this thread, it wouldn't have gotten to 26 pages of aimless bickering, agitation, accusations and counter-acusations.

Seun lacks public relations code; he folds his arms and allow things die a natural death. Maybe he enjoys the controversies, maybe its his way of spicing up his forum; but its an unprofessional tactics.

Even some big banks have people employed to smile for you and tell you 'welcome, thank you for banking with us'.
To whom brain is given, common sense is required of him/her. Let's look at this case a bit critically:

1. If they have their office in Kaduna where they intend to deploy you after the interview, why not conduct the interview in that branch than asking you to travel that long distance?.

2. If their office is in Abuja, their target should be within Abuja and its environs and maybe Nassarawa, why sharing or pasting the handbills in Kaduna?.

3. Before you applied, didn't you see the office location that it is far away in Abuja?,so if it was clearly spelt out and you went ahead to apply,it means that you have the means to easily get there and probably go to work there and return daily or which ever way you wanna do it.

4. Such pranks only works in Kaduna, here in Lasgidi we easily decode such dumb asz's strategy sharp sharp and deal with them personally.

Don't mind these people that can never think properly,we've heard cases where yoruba boys were involved in terrorist activities in USA and in London and nobody generalised it that yorubas are terrorists because we understand that they are just the bad eggs among them but they are the ones that will easily generalise any single thing that happens to an ibo man.........*very biased set of people*

Ngwakwe: 1. Please post on topic always. Don't derail
or tribalize threads.

I am yet to know what points the previous posters are trying to convey, can we condemn this criminal act with a strongest possible term.

I am from South East, Nigeria, I have never given or exchanged fake note / currency though I have received loads of them comprising N500 and N1000 denominations through my Sales Reps and cashier that have fallen victim of these fraudsters, yet I have never been tempted to exchange them in any circumstance.

Let's avoid associating this criminal behaviour with any tribe rather a universal vice that should be fought against and discouraged using every possible means, even the vendor according to the article is not from South East.
