giselle237: Na wa o. I have seen the refusal letter. They are just lookin for how to deny you as i feel they think your father will allow you overstay and/or that you would decide not to come back. I have seen this happen over and over again.
Meanwhile In Nigeria here some organizations abeg their allowances pass d basic pay by far. Take for exmple NASS. they will quote one small amount as basic pay , check the allowances na.. na die. A total of both sums is equal to the person’s monthly salary so I really do not get the point of this ECO. If they want to deny you, this should not have been the reason.
I have a cousin whose basic pay is 160k, allowances 850k. Total salary is over 1.1m monthly.. so pls what does this ECO mean tht it doesnt make sense that ur allowances will b more than basic pay. Pls they should come to Nigeria. Edakun i tire.
If it were me, this was flimsy. U attached letters that stated this payment style... also he/she referring to ur last refusal that u didnt address why you were denied, you might as well reapply.
Get from ur company an annual emmolument sheet or something to show your total pay in a year. I honestly dnt know what they want.
Sorry about this. If u need further help let me know Thank you sir for your response, I would follow your advice of getting annual emolument. I brought my rejection here that was refused in February, which contained deposits that wasn't explained well, the gurus in the house including you pointed out where I likely shot myself and advised I keep my account clean of any deposit aside salary which I diligently adhered to for 6 months. only to be told I didn't address it what else are they expecting me to do, I had no single deposit in that account except my salary (which comes in 2 credits of 35k/460k, reflecting both deposits with my pay slip also showing my salary and allowances) I honestly don't know what they want for the suspected "I may run away" I showed proof of my wife and kid (their passports, birth certificate, rent agreement, wedding cert. images of 3 of us etc etc). I feel very bad. |

Hello gurus good day, I just got my refusal, and it really did not make any sense to me, my salary comes in 2 installments, 1 titles as basic the other titled as allowances which I declared with my statement with no other deposit and my pay slip. Even on my employment letter and salary review letter its all stated there. and those payments come together. the basic is the amount that is taxed. |

TheExalted: Explain your salary structure in your application and in your cover letter. Do the math and explain it clearly. 1st leg + 2nd leg=October salary, do same for each of the months affected. State clearly that covid-19 affected your company's operations hence the cash crunch that led to payment of your salary twice. Ok thank you very much. also during the pandemic, the company credited our account on 2 occasions for data 2k and 4 k, do I need to explain this also in my cover letter? those are the only 2 credits aside from my salary that entered my account in the last 6 months. |

giselle237: Plead with your HR or whosoever is responsible for writing your introduction letter, it should be inputted in the official note coming from ur office that u are paid in such and such way addressed to the embassy and also same information in ur cover letter. It also makes it easier if the establishment name appears on ur statement as the one doing the transfers and not an individual’s name nor cash deposit Yes it's the organisations name that appears and that is how every salary comes in terms of description.so are you advising that on the cover note it should state that the second leg of the salary which should normally come sequentially with the first leg, was paid about 2 weeks later because of the covid incident. |

Greetings to everyone in the house, in early march I was denied UK visitors visa due to unexplained funds in my account, which the gurus in the house pointed it out and adviced I keep my account clean with my salary been the only credit, which I decided to embark on and resubmit this early November. But now I need your advice on what to do I the following situation.
NB: My salary normally comes in 2 parts (a smaller part, and then a larger part).
At first 1. I printed my statement from may 1st to 27th October, but due to the pandemic the first part of my salary (the smaller part) was paid on 25th april, while the larger part was paid 10th of may And on 25th of that same may I recieved the 2 legs of my salary for may on the same day (which is how is normally is) but now do I need to explain to them that the salary paid on that 10th is due to the covid19 issue. |

Ok thank you dualduo: You can do that it's fine, but I'll suggest you start your statement from after the date he paid the funds in. It will set you back one month, but it's safer. |

Greetings to the guru in the house, please I need your input. I was denied visa some weeks ago (which I posted the reason here) and got advice from some of the egg heads about my mistake and adviced that I keep my salary account pure of only my salary, which I told people I do things for giving them another account, but one of them forgot and paid 300k for a gig I am currently doing into my salary account. Do I pay back the money into his account with the narration refund so he can transfer it to another account or what do you advice as I dont want what happened (no proper evidence of deposit) to repeat itself as I am building for the next 6 months. |

Brightingsus: ECO is not only interested in closing balance. In fact, regularity of incoming funds is equally as important or even more important. One thing I advise people is try convincing someone around you first before the ECO. Ask a friend if you show them a bank statement that shows some incoming funds which are not monthly salaries with a written explanation, if they will believe you. That’s like your word against any odds but your words wouldn’t count much.
I remember when I applied for my mother inlaw to visit me and wifey. I made her send me her 6 months bank statement. I studied all outgoing and incoming funds and backed up any claims with an explicit cover letter and paper evidence. For funds I sent to her over the course of months, I had receipts from recognised bureau with dates matching the dates the funds entered her account. This is just an example.
I know you now have a clearer understanding of what went wrong. If you are thinking of waiting a while and limiting your salary account to only salaries and no gigs, do not overlook the reasons you were denied this time. Do not assume you can now have a fresh application with bank statements devoid of those gig funds and everything is ok. You must still address the gigs albeit applications are treated on their own merits. They can still refer to your rejected applications. You can still do a more thorough explanation of those gig funds and then have documented proof of all funds for your next application. From your explanation it is clear where I got it wrong. |

Veejaytv1: My thought exactly, he claimed he explained them money in the account but without evidence, I'm confused as well. What I ment is that I had some deposits in my salary account, which I explained here that in as much as I explained the source of the money I didnt back it up with physical evidence. |

ijeshaoflondon: Where were the deposits coming from then ? Were they ur salary? Why did the ECo mentioned that there were unexplained deposit in ur account ? You didnt get me, I said the monies from the gigs I was doing didnt have any influence on the closing balance when I printed my statement, they were monies that reflected on the account in October, November and december (200, 200, 150k). Which I explained that they were monies paid for gigs I did and the narrations also matched my explanation. But I get your point anyway. Keep salary account to only salary |

ijeshaoflondon: I dont know why Nigerians still. believe boosting account still works for UK Visas. Consulars now understand that Nigerians would borrow money from every corners to boost their account for visa purposes. Open a new account that only ur salary would be paid into .... for the next 6 months... With this ur salary if them no give you no greet me again. The only money in my account as at the time I printed my account statement was my salary alone. |

I guess I got carried away that since the deposits were not in any way influencing my current balance in my salary account and then the narrations of the deposits were clearly stated...well the truth is I don't have any excuse tho because I have seen those warnings on this thread but felt explaining would do it. I overlooked the little details and that cost me. giselle237: But you know on this thread it is overly emphasized... every unusual deposit doesnt sit well with them.. you must show paper evidence of the origin of these funds. Especially if you already have a previous denial on ur neck, why give them reason to be doubted Why exactly did u overlook this? U can save up consistently for the next 6 months and avoid any deposits in ur salary account. This was d only downfall. They saw ur cover letter but still dont have proof of the money and where it came from. |

bigtt76: Check the qpage 2 of the refusal letter to see if you have an option to appeal else you would need to correct all of these then look towards reapplying in 3-6 months time.
All the best No I can't appeal. Thank you for your time. I would follow your advice and reapply |

bigtt76: Thanks for sharing.
My thoughts here 1. Your budget of N600K is more than two months of your disposable income. Look into reducing it or increasing your disposable income
2. Stop using your salary account for private gigs etc ...open a separate bank account for that. All the ECO wants to see is steady inflow of salary paid by your employer into the account to convince him you have a steady employment. Any other deposit triggers a red flag that if not properly explained with documented evidence would be counter productive.
3. You may also look into adding a cover letter to explain clearly all the inflows into your account
4. Ties with family is good 2. I think that is where I made a mistake. 3. I explained but I did not provide supporting documents (eg agreement, mails etc). Than you for pointing out my flaws. Kindly advise where I should go from here. |

bigtt76: Pardon me asking
1. Are you worker earning steady salary? Did you get a letter of introduction from your employer corroborating this? 2. What is your disposable income monthly?
The issue I see here is that the ECO is not fully convinced that you have a steady source of income you will return to in Nigeria coupled with the risk of you staying behind with your father in the UK. Perhaps if you shed more light into what you stated in your application, it might help us all to advise you on what to do. 1. I am a worker earning steadily, which I provided my employment letter and series of salary increments over the years (5 letters of increment across the years). I also provided an introduction letter and my ID Card, my salary has been consistent on a particular date of the month which my statement captured it with the narration. I also provided my payslip to reflect all. 2. My disposable income is 100k. 3. Like I stated above my strong ties are my wife and child which I also provided information about them. 4. my budget was 600k |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Chijiuba: 12:10pm On Mar 02, 2020 |
But in my application, I stated I have a wife and a son (which I provided detail, passport, family photographs, birth certificates etc). which served as my strong ties to Nigeria. The irregular funds are funds like 200k etc which was in payment for some gig which I did. and those funds were not even available as at the time I printed my statement my closing balance was my salary. I am quite sad about the outcome. Because I tried to be as truthful as I could be. Darvick: The ECO doesn’t appreciate UK family tie when it comes to visiting visa, they would believe your dad would help you overstay and get paper in UK. Therefore they gonna continue to give unreasonable excuse to refuse you. Even though you have explained the funds, Well try to provide proof of the irregular funds deposited into your account and reapply and let’s see if they come up with another excuse |

Good day all, I collected my passport today and sadly I was refused. I tried to explain the source of some deposits as some of the deposits in which the narration also explains what the deposit was for. But I am guessing because I didn't provide supporting documents. But the gurus will help throw more light and advise me on what to do next.

Good evening everyone, please I need advice from the experienced heads in the house as I am preparing my application for UK visitors Visa. I am a software developer (I have a day job), but in my statement, there are couple of transactions (about 200k * 2 from 2 different clients) from freelancing applications that I do, do I need to indicate I have another source of Income? and If I do obviously it is not consistent (just jobs I get once in a while). how do I prove that 400k or so that was paid in November last year and January this year? |

Q: Have you ever worked for any of the following types of organization? Option: Government (including Public or Civil Administration and non-military compulsory national service)?
This is the option that caught my attention. Does this mean I should tick if I did NYSC. Please your advise is needed |

justwise: You really have to give a brief explanation about the refusal but if you can't remember then state that then add the year and month.
They know why you were refused and have all the details but still you have to acknowledge it Please Should I give the explanation of my not remembering the reason for refusal in my cover letter or on the section in the form where it says I should state the reason for rejection. |

Thank you. But please I have another issue and I really need an advice on what to do. Like I stated earlier I was refused Visa in 2012, and I have searched for the refusal letter, but I cannot see it. In the visa form, there is a question on if I have been refused visa before which I answered yes but the reason is what I dont have anymore please what do i do? |
