davodyguy:
Guys, let me share timeline of this project with you to encourage our fellow developers on phased development.

Image 1 was taken on 15th April, 2020 during the lockdown. You'll see the rotary machine we used in boring the points. Structural engineer recommended 23 pile points, while soil test report says termination depth should be 26m deep
All 23 points were completed 10th May, 2020 (15/4/20- 10/5/20)

Image 2 was taken on 30th May, 2020
Between 11/5/20 - 29/5/20 we were able to do the pile cap, ground beam and on 30th May, 2020 we did the slab (German Floor)

Image 3 taken on 21/6/20. Between 1st June, 2020 to 20th June, 2020 we set up all the blocks for the ground floor up to lintels, did the decking and on 21/6/20 we casted the decking.

Image 4 was taken on 15th July, 2020 the day we roofed the building. All blocks for the upper floor and roof timber members were completed between 22nd June, 2020 to 14th July, 2020. Then on 15th July, 2020 we did the roofing.

That's a 90 cycle of non-stop work.
Total cost from piling, to foundation to blockwalls and roofing the carcass was ₦15million.
Cement bag cost ₦2600 then
20 tons Sand cost ₦45,000 then
Granite 30 tons cost ₦150,000 then
10mm reinforcement ₦210,000
12mm reinforcement ₦208,000
16mm reinforcement ₦ 214,000
20mm reinforcement ₦225,000
Nice project you've got there. Please is it 4 blocks of 3 b3droom ?

EgunMogaji2:
An astute question.

The small gen was purchased for my gateman while I was still in the USA. When I arrived fully it couldn’t power everything I needed at once so I bought another bigger one.

I just started my solar conversion and will scale up gradually. Remember that I’m a retiree that’s living on pension grin

I’m starting a new build soon and that one will be 100% solar.
Now I understand. Solar would really help you save cost.

Here, I use a 3.5KVA solar that takes I and my family through the day till about 10pm when I switch on the generator and allow it run to 12midnight or 1am so my batteries and electric fence batteries can charge.

So basically I use generator 2-3hrs daily and have light 24/7
PropertiesRe: PSA: Diasporans Building In Nigeria by Chikebrain: 8:20pm On Jun 10, 2020
EgunMogaji2:
cool Invest in solar. The investment is cheap (I’m writing for diasporans who enjoy good exchange rate). If not then you’ll spend heavily on fuel. I have solar plus two generators. A smaller one for watching tv, lights, fridge, etc and a bigger one for all of the above plus pumping machine and washing machine. You don’t want your gen on past 7pm or 8pm at most due to noise. I need to be keyed in on noise around me for safety. Your need may vary. But you need power to keep abreast of news on tv, charge cellphones, drones, laptops, etc. I spend more time at home so my needs are high.

.
Solar and two generators ??. Why not upgrade panels and batteries

How can I invest in treasury bills?
I heard the process is not like before?
Rate is terribly bad. You might get max of 4% (that's if it's possible). Better to keep your money in a savings account that could yield almost 4-5% interest
BusinessRe: How First Bank Did not pay us for designing 125th Year Logo(read FBN's reply) by Chikebrain: 8:27am On Mar 04, 2020
I'd advise you go see and hear out what the legal team has to say to "fulfil all righteousness". If it's not as regards your payment, then you can leave the meeting. Seek out a lawyer who handles cases like this.
Using media as a tool to paint yourselves as not having money for legal battle yet paying for this advert on NL which isnt cheap doesn't help matter. Do the right thing, see their legal team.
Every day is a lesson. Subsequently, draft our a contract before you commence work and spell out all your terms and condition

Visited access bank today ( I had locked in fixed deposits earliers at 8%, 6.5% & 5.5% at different intervals ranging from 30 to 60 day tenors with the aim of waiting to see what first quarter 2020 holds)

The above rates were gotten within the past one month or so.

To my surprise, access bank fixed deposit was quoted at 0.02 today (i want to believe my account officer was joking)

Tbills at 5%

Advice from the Bank : why don’t you consider HIDA with the following returns credited to your account monthly as long as you don’t make more than 3 transactions on the account in a month.
Was at access bank too about two weeks and I got 7% (I'm no even sure sef). I requested interest payment upfront which my account officer assured would be paid but till now, no payment. From the look of things for TB, Hida seems to be the way. I already have a hida account and should be moving all funds soonest

I mistakenly bought an MTN airtime worth 40 thousand naira and I will resell for 35k. Pls mod, it's essential because it's my last allowee gotten from NYSC recently.
However, I called my bank and network provider but, all efforts look outwardly abortive. I reside in Abuja and I will only deal physically to avoid fraudsters.

Pls I need this topic on front page, so as to inform interested buyers. Thanks and good morning.
