Programming / Re: Best Software Development Training Center In Lagos by ChilamNk(m): 9:53am On Oct 05, 2023
Inspireink:
There are so many platforms (online and offline) that you can learn software engineering. As for me, I started online training from YouTube and LinkedIn learning, but I got stuck somewhere in the middle of the course. At times trying to self learn coding may be hard if there is no mentor to guide you. Currently, I am learning DevOps at Fellowship at The Bulb Africa (https://www.fellowship.thebulb.africa/). It was a friend in Lagos that actually introduced me to The Bulb. You don't need to pay until you're done with your training until you get a job as a software engineer. They even gave me a laptop. lol

Hello bro.. can't I connect with you I want to know more about the bulb ..I see you have gone through their program .

Op take this advice and move on.

EriMma1:
Money go, woman go. When I was warning you guys in my post that a woman needs to be taken care of if you want your marriage to last, some empty skull said I too like men matter. Now see.

This skill is what you ought to have learnt first, then build your financial security before talking about marriage but You men like putting the cart before the horse.

Number 2, marriage is not for children. Forget the general opinion that it's better to marry a younger girl. mature ladies are still far better in terms of managing hard times and handling tough situations unlike your 23 yr old who has not been through lifes hurdles or surmounted challenges on her own. Prolly she just moved in with you from her parents house where everything is being done for her.

As long as you're still broke and can't meet her needs yet, no amount of begging will make her come back cos that was why she left in the first place.

Focus and complete your skill training. Make sure you learn it very well and start sourcing for jobs.. Also keep looking for a regular job to sustain in the meantime. Forget about her but try to send upkeep for your child

If you hammer tomorrow, look for a mature lady and marry.

All this 20 yr old ladies without tangible source of income rushing into marriage with average Nigerian guys, I pity all of you. You people think marriage is childs play. Make una dey play.

Romance / Re: These Are The Qualities That Make A Man A Simp by ChilamNk(m): 6:01am On Apr 17, 2023
How come everything you copy-wrote is all about pleasing the female.. and you think that's what should not make a man simp..

when he spend such a great time pleasing a woman in such form..the woman will still treat him as trash.

Octopusssy:
I think the adjective 'simp' is arguably the most misused adjective on this forum, and perhaps on social media. I recall when, some time ago, I was ill and my significant other washed my clothes (hand wash o) he laughingly remarked "if my guys see me washing your clothes, they will call me a simp".

That got me thinking. Does showing care to your partner make you a simp? The toxic social media Alfamails seem to think so. The same 'alpha males' wey no dey give their mama monthly allowance, talk less of her holding their net worth for them, but are here shouting "Hakimi is our hero!" (we are not ready for THAT conversation).

I saw this post on Facebook and decided to repost it with permission.

Truth be told the programme is really demanding. I was on the programme before some shits happen and decided to quit. But it isn't something you cannot do. It requires time and patience.

I was recently accepted too for January cohort..but my fear is I'm working and I may not have much time during working hrs to go through the materials. Then I close from work by 6pm.

I have steady light and wifi.
How many hours do you think on the minimum can one put forth per day..

Before now I've learnt Python for beginners then I was adviced to start learning C for this ALX. I saw that python was an offshoot of C.
I have the ALX curriculum..but I don't want to stop my self thought front end that I'm self teaching my self to start something that I may crash out off later.. make una advice me o..

Op if you need the curriculum let me know

Alright, I will.

Boss.. I've been following up ur thread. I've happy you have held on on the second journey.

One of the advantages I have to there at work is 24/7 power supply and free WiFi.
I was recently admitted to ALX to start in January..but I later realized that the job I have at hand may not give me that time to study the materials in day time..like I close from work by 6 . And I consider that as not to succeed in ALX.

I'm now thinking of self teaching my self..till maybe I may move to another job were I'll have chance in-between work hours.

So what are the benefits ass. with being trained institutes like ALX as against the sololearn/self-taught path??
