Thanks so much for your quick and honest response. Quick one, he had mhGAP training and has his certificate already, he has been working under supervision of psychiatric consultants and other mental health professionals presently at the teaching hospital for his mandatory internship, he is assigni to carry out clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment formulation according to him.
Do you know other route he can explore maybe route that will be less rigorous and can afford him UK experience?
Once again, thank you for your response.
You can't acquire The UK experience in Nigeria. The truth is that he needs experience even nurses and doctors needs experience before NHS starts considering and shortlisting them for interviews. He needs to get like 3years experience or more to have a better chance, but the truth is that even with Nigeria experience, it is very difficult this days for care homes and NHS to sponsor people outside the UK. Jobs with COS are hot cake in the UK now.

Good evening everyone, I hope you had a wonderful day today....... My brother has completed his class work for master's degree program in child and Adolescent mental health CAMH, but only remaining his project research defense which will is expected this November, after which he can request for notification of result, his first degree is BSc psychology, his aim now is to travel to the UK given the type of course he's studying as he's finding it difficult to get a paid placement to practice. please I will need your honest advice/opinions on this following questions
1) Will it be easy to get a job in the UK from Nigeria despite not having any paid work experience? Please any ideas that encompasses how, route and methods will be well appreciated.
2) Since he is yet to finish his program (remaining only project defense) if the response to the above question is positive, can he start the process of relocating or looking for job now or he should hold on till he finishes the program?

Thanks so much for your anticipated assistance.
Let me answer you with all sincerity, the answer is NO. The people in the UK with UK experience finding it very difficult to get jobs with sponsorship, talk more of someone with zero Nigeria experience. In the UK, experience matters a lot and many people lie about experience to get jobs. So your brother either look for someone who will give him reference, I mean hospital with official domain name and lie in his CV that he worked for the hospital for minimum of 5years and also add that he took care of your grand parents when they are sick for like another 5years, then add your uncles and any other person. Finally, he will be ready to defend the lies because this people can easily detect who is lying. He should read very well about mental health, safeguarding, learning disabilities and autism and also prepare his CV in European standard. Then maybe just maybe he may be lucky but the chances are 1/5000.

Dear, let her take NVQ level 3 certificate. Make sure it is an Ofqual regulated one and you will get her COS. secondly, if you want her via Health and care route. Let her also take phlebotomy certification or Clinical/medical Assistant as an addon.
For sure, she will. Also do not neglect to get a good professional profiling to be added to her CV. She can go for the NVQ in Nigeria
Thanks

All this you people are just typing I don't understand. NvQ this and that. Certification is good especially people already in the UK that wants carrier progression not people in Nigeria. Nurses find it very difficult to get jobs from Nigeria (I mean nurses who have passed both. CBT and IELTS exams) talk more of ordinary career. It's becoming very difficult for people inside the UK with post graduate visa to get Cos not to mention people in Nigeria. The best route one can easily migrate now is through school because most sold Cos the company doesn't have jobs for you.

Otokitifunmi:
Good evening house, please I need your help, advise, suggestions on how to get into a care role/ job here in the UK.

I came into the UK (Birmingham)Oct 2023 through the student dependant visa and I have walked into most care homes around me and also applied through Indeed but unfortunately mail is all I have been getting.
Hence, I got a warehouse job and that's what I have been doing for the past 7 months; we were told at induction that we would get contract with d company after working for 3 months and I have worked very hard in this Warehouse like I have never worked before in my life but this people gave alot of people contract and didn't give me d contract,
I met with the agency recently and asked why my name was not included among those that were given contract and she said it was because I didn't come to work once (of which I called her to inform her that I was feeling dizziness and wouldn't be able to come to work) she also said I came late for 2 minutes a couple of times( that true because I resume 5:45 am on morning shift and the closest bus comes to that area around 5:30am at it earliest and other times 5:35am and I have to trek 19mins to get to work, imagine running every morning shift to meet up with the time and this people can't relate because they don't take a bus.
Almost all the people that came after me have been given contract but they said I should wait for 2 to 3 months again for them to check my clocking in time before they can consider me for contract.

I seriously have been feeling down because of this, probably because I felt I have given my best to these people and they don't appreciate it. Alot of people that are lazy and shy away from work are being given contract and not hardworking ones. It is time I leave the warehouse job for my health.

Please any information on how to successfully switch to care/support roles will be appreciated 👏

I studied accounting education in Nigeria, where can I get agencies that train people for the NVQ 2 or other related courses I can take?

Please help your sister before high blood pressure will finish me with over thinking
I'm in the UK, but I can't say much here. But Birmingham doesn't have much care home, Google is your friend. You can do NvQ 2 in Alison, is called Health and social care level 2 in Alison. U can download Alison in play store. Secondly, is very hard to get a job in care homes without any experience in your CV. Forget what they say about not needing experience, but it matters a lot. The reason why you may find it difficult is because of your CV, get a professional CV online, pay for it, then add when u once cared for people, either family members or friends, put as many as possible. In that your CV, remove your post code and only include your email address, location UK and phone number. Unfortunately I don't know anything about warehouse jobs because I haven't done one. You can try spreading your search to Manchester, they have care homes in Manchester than Birmingham. Good luck.

If the person is a nurse, the offer letter was issued before 4th April and probably the Cos.

Not Applicable to Nurses.
As long as you have a valid offer and COS from your employer, just go apply for your visa, it'll be out in less than 5days
I don't understand this advice. The minimum wage now from April 4th is £38,700 per annum or else the Cos is issued before 4th April. So if what is in the Cos is not £38,700 and is issued from 4th April, the Cos will be denied.

Hello Everyone,

Please pardon me if this has been asked in the previous pages.

If you enter the UK with a skilled worker as Healthcare Assistant, your employer license revoked, can one get another sponsorship in another route while you are in the UK, or must be the same health care.

Thanks
You can get Cos in any other sector provided is valid. But you have to do so within 60days.

..pls @everybody does Royal Air Maroc allow dry fish and stock fish to the UK?
No airline rejects dry fish or stock fish, but you concern if you are traveling with red oil, then you need to pray they don't detect it in the airport not even the airline because if your luggage goes inside, you won't see it again until after your final destination. But If you want to carry red oil successfully, their is one pack like nylon you can buy, then freeze it and they hardly detect it. Good red oil na gold for UK.

Don't limit your search to indeed alone, extend it to track.jobs too. Track is more better in terms of care jobs and nursing jobs. Good luck.

@Cashmadam,
Please if my employer should transfer the trip sponsorship fund of like 3.5m to fully cover my trip to a business conference two weeks before my biometric,I hope it will fly.

I will submit my Salary account where I have been receiving my salary for the past 6 months and also submit my employers account for the past 6 months as well.

2. In the online form which says How much are you personally spending on this trip? Can I put N1 naira, since my Employer is providing all the funds for the trip.

Please Cashmadam and other gurus respond to a brother
It will not fly ooooo, the ECO'S no be mumu, you can only spend a lesser percentage of your salary. The question should be, how much are you earning that can make your employer send you to such a sensitive journey? Because you can't be earning like 300k in Nigeria and you expect them to believe you will return after visiting UK. Visiting visa is the most sensitive visa. You need to plan very well to avoid ban. If you have travel history, it will help.

Please, another question....one of the required documents I am to bring as seen in the checklist is , "2 documents in both your names that show you have lived together for the last two years".

Please, what are some examples of documents that can be presented?
Marriage certificate, tenancy agreement, bank transfer made to her or the one she sent to you. Pictures of two of together, send as many as possible, WhatsApp chats, Facebook chats, utility bills with your both names or joint account.

You are a demonic supporter of APC, God will expose and disgrace you all sudden lovers of Nigeria who suddenly love Nigeria just because your tribesmen are in charge of the destruction of Nigeria in the name of politics.

You do not love Nigeria. You are only forming love for Nigeria because the people you like or your tribesmen are ruling and destroying Nigeria so whatever they do now is okay and the rest of Nigerians suffering their evil policies must pray and be patient, wicked souls.

Nature will reward you all angry

Besides I neve said no other West African country is on the red list, I said ordinary Benin Republic, Togo aren't there, but Nigeria a bigger country with huge population and resources is there just because of demon possessed APC government sent from hell to punish and destroy Nigeria yet evil bigots like you hiding under the veil of loving Nigeria see nothing wrong in it

It is only in Nigeria that demons like you see people criticizing bad government policies as haters of Nigeria yet you claim to be exposed and traveled wide, but you forgot that Western citizens even protest and hold their competent government and leaders accountable for even frivolous issues which is why their country is working but demons like you hiding under religion see anybody criticizing bad government policies in Nigeria as haters of Nigeria, God will disgrace you hypocrites angry
Since Togo and Benin republic is not their in your own analysis, then what are they doing in the reality list I shared with you kid? The only thing your likes knows is insult, I pray you grow one day. You brought politics in a discussion that is entirely focused on japa. Instead of you to better your life, you choose insult. I ask again, what is Togo and Benin republic doing in the list because for you, they are heaven on earth and don't have any business to be in the red list country. Na only shit hole like Nigeria deserve to be in the list due to your hatred for your country and its leader simply because your Messiah lost an election. Continue, 2027 is around the corner. Yeye APC politician forming elder lol

Common sense he doesn't have.

For your information, WHO updated the red list last year April and put Nigeria back after APC's led demonic government under Buhari petitioned WHO again reminding them that Western countries are still recruiting medical professionals from Nigeria despite the shortage in Nigeria.

The same APC demonic government under Tinubu forced Nurses and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to make a new draconian policy to stop Nigerian nurses from seeking for job abroad by making it compulsory for a Nigeria nurse seeking for job abroad to first spend at least 2 years practicing in Nigeria. It didn't stop there. They also said the Nurse must first write to the CMD of the hospital she is working to get approval and also go back to her school of nursing or university to obtain approval from her HOD and then submit them to NMC to approve before they can start the process of migrating abroad to work and a demon possessed evil APC politician like you see nothing wrong in it

Don't worry, these evil policies you are applauding will hit you one day, then you will understand better, evil men, enemies of progress angry
Kid am done with you. I am not a politician and not supporting any politician nor party. But look beyond your mentality and stop blaming anyone for your misfortune. Life is far better than you thought. Always project your country well, stop demarketing your country. Nigeria might have it's challenges but Nigeria is not the worst country on earth. We far better than thousands of those countries you think are heaven on earth. I pray God give you money to travel and see, then you will value your country. So the Togo and others you are praising, na your government put them on the list? I thought you said no west African country is in the list? You knew nothing about foreign policy. But I rest my case.

If you are really exposed and have a positive mindset, my initial comment condemning useless Nigerian politicians managing the country shouldn't have bothered you.

Do you know how APC and her useless government policies are destroying and slowing down Nigerian youths' life?

How do you explain the fact that small broke Benin Republic, Togo are not on WHO red list of countries western nations must not recruit medical professionals from, but Nigeria a bigger country with huge population and resources is on the red list, all because useless APC government petitioned WHO to stop western countries from recruiting medical professionals from Nigeria instead of them looking for ways to increase the number of medical professionals Nigeria produces such that we will have more than enough to export abroad and earn huge FX to grow our nation?

If this comment irked you then you are not worthy to be called an elder you are saying you are angry
Kid check countries on red list before you start typing r*bbish. You people are filled with us*less emotions and failed to be logical. You think the red list country was caused by buhari APC? Let me educate you kid, the list was released in 2001 and they keep updating it. Was APC in government in 2001? Get a life and leave government out of your fr*stration. Even with the red list, NHS still recruit from Nigeria. Work hard and pray to God to bless. Stop imposing your lazy a** on government.

Mumu boy, what you don't know you ask question.

It is APC government under Buhari that petitioned WHO to stop western countries from recruiting our healthcare professionals that we don't have enough instead of working towards producing more medical professionals that we can export.

Tinubu came and stopped Doctors and nurses from migrating abroad to work through some draconian policies and you are here blabbing rubbish that you know nothing about sad
Ewu Gambia, you called someone old enough to be your father mumu boy. I don't blame Una na for nairaland Una dey hide Una st*pidity. Someone who haven't left their village is now calling person who is far BETTER than his generat*on a mumu boy. Quite this mentality and pray to God for mercy and leave politics for politicians.
TravelRe: Japa: There Is A Dentist Crisis In UK. by Childofgrace18: 12:28pm On Apr 01, 2024
humilitypays:
This is the simple solution but useless APC government won't do that, instead they are busy writing petition to WHO to stop western countries from recruiting Nigerian healthcare professionals claiming that we don't have enough Doctors, Nurses, etc which made WHO to place Nigeria on red list of "do not recruit" making it difficult for Nigerian healthcare professionals now to secure job abroad from Nigeria, whereas we have more than enough idle, jobless, unemployed youths we can encourage to study medical related courses and export them abroad.

APC and their useless leaders are a curse to Nigerian, no innovative or creative thinking, they just want every Nigerian to remain in Nigeria and suffer their mismanagement and misrule angry
You people will blame APC for everything. Who do Una this obidients? You use the time u will use to better your life to start abusing and supporting politicians who never know of your existence. Continue. Did the APC you are talking about the people that ruled Nigeria from 199 to 2015? Focus on the topic and leave politics for political section.
