For the past 9months, I have always asked this question


Twice I have picked up Dayo (Uber Operations), I asked him same question and he answered.

Which would you prefer?
You refuse to disclose your destination,
I drive to pick-up location,
You hop in,
I ask for your destination before starting the trip,
You tell me,
I don't like the area (e.g Satellite town, Apapa, Ikorodu, Lakowe, Akute, Ajamgbadi, Mowe e.t.c)
I politely ask you to request another ride.
I cash out #400.

Exactly my point brother, it's annoying and also rude. I hardly reply them, the worst part is that they'll wait and pretend not to know they requested for a ride until you call. They won't call oooooo to ask the annoying where are you until you call.

Try to call your riders first. It puts you in control.
My riders don't see my cell no. So am unreachable until I call them .

was already on my way home, so I called n asked her destination, she said Ajah, I said okay you have to come outside the mall, so we can go she said no I should enter the mall, I told her it's late and I might get charged she said I will call you back, I waited 5min cancelled trip n proceeded home, was at Surulere she was calling, she called till I got to Festac I weak. I just picked and told her am home end call.

My brother I no fit advice my worse enemy to do hp ..a lot of crazy drivers out there.. Some no fit even deliver on a constant week, na hp u want go do ...better try rental for now, save a large amount to put down on Hp to and than you can try ..worse comes to worse I fit help u get car at a low price....

Slaiojel4u note this it is very important in H.P because immediately you sign the dotted lines, car becomes your own, even if you have to change the engine oil after 1000km it is your car, the owner will not be bothered by any expense you make. So please be very careful so you don't land your self in debt.

The car isn't the drivers own, until he fulfills his obligation "paying up" the full hp sum.

Same way, the owners obligation is to provide a car in good condition, not a refurbished lemon a.k.a dead car.

Any thing that's not working should be stated by the owner. Some car owners dey lie alot.

Lastly, if it's not a sharp tokunbo car, I will advice you jump and pass. I have a personal experience.

Remember, after delivery, all repairs falls on you. You don't want to be repairing a dead car with your savings

A woman today even told me Uber do data subscriptions for us I just weak.
Some will even ask you if Uber or taxify owns the vehicles we drive.

She's correct. I was getting 1.5Gb data weekly, for over a month. Don't know why uber stopped.

Where you live matters.
I stay at abesan estate but you won't get request that early not until like 6 am which like 80% are going to Ikeja and others going to yaba at most. You can't get requests at Ikeja that early so you either go towards ilupeju where most people going to long distance would have left by the time you get there or go back toward dopemu or ogba.
Getting a request to surulere or yaba is very ok when starting from my area, but anything apart from that na hard work.

Let me try and type how I work daily mAybe I might help.out.

1. I live in surulere, and as early as 5:30-6:30am, I make sure I struggle and set my destination to Ajah, and latest 7am I must get a request to either Marina or Ikoyi orVI or Lekki if to.Lekki, I go off line and.wait till 7:30 till like 8am and monitor d Surge in lekki, I drive towards.dere and take a surge trip, sometimes am lucky I.will get very long trip.wit Surge.or If is short ones, I enter d surge zone back.


2. After.d.morning rush I will.work normal till likw 1pm or 2pm, and take a break... by 4pm or 5pm am back to VI and I.wait for surge too, den next is to set my last destination to Ikeja, and from VI.to Ikeja on surge diet is good,work small after, latest 10:30 or 11pm am back at home.


3.. All.is Luck and Glory.be.to.God for.allowing the Surge in my favour.


4.. weekends I.start work by 6am and.close by 9pm no.break,.only.break.is.eating.time.and.waiting for request.

Sunday after.church (my service.time is 6:30-8:30am), latest 11am.am on.d.road.till.9 or 10pm.

Rating will surely drop even if u drove 2018 G-wagon and ur customer service is poor. U should know that mainly all riders like to be pampered and treated like boss.
My opinion since I have been driving that small but mighty corolla so far is that customer service, cleanliness matters a lot in d biz irrespective of the kind, model of car u drive on d platforms

Watch YouTube videos of Lamborghini, Bugatti and Ferrari Uber drivers. Even on one of the videos with the Bugatti, the rider was begging the driver to come pick him again lol.
