Don't be ridiculous, you should dress decently, but not overbearingly. Why should they even say anything about his outfit since it is formal, clean and properly ironed. They expect people to wear suit in this scorching heat because they are what?? I can understand wearing suit in cooler climes like overseas, but not in naija's scorching hot weather!

Don't be pathetic, how do you know if his shirt was clean and properly ironed? The interviewers are not blind,they can't say that to him or try to embarrass him if he looked good. They could have seen some faults in the shirt,maybe some stains and it wasn't properly ironed. Interviewers hardly comment on someone's outfit(talking from experience ).. so whether the sun is blazing hot or it's raining cats and dogs, "A SUIT" remains the best outfit for an interview.

I was recently invited to an interview for a managerial post and I decided to wear my usual corporate long sleeves and trouser. This is my usual dressing to interviews. I have never loved suits. In fact the only time I have worn suit was on my wedding. So I was doing well in the interview until the panelists said my shirt was washed and even though I am not wearing suits, I could have worn something better. I was truly shocked that was a new shirt I was wearing for the 1st time after my brother brought it down from abroad. Embarrassed was an understatement. Guess my performance was more important to them than my "washed shirt" cos after less than 24hrs after the interview I was called that I was successful and being invited for 2nd stage interview this weekend. Now I am not taking chances... I have bought a brand new smart suit! Please can one also wear senators to an interview though I have never tried it. That's also a corporate wear isn't it? Let's discuss things you can wear to interviews guys!

Senators are not corporate ooo...Later you'll ask if you can wear kaftan or agbada...Senators fall under "Native/Traditional attire" no matter how it looks or fits. "Senators" is the least thing you can ever dream of wearing for an interview, highly unacceptable.

As you read this my people, I am a dead man walking. My nights recently have been the worst ever since I was born. The woman I thought was going to be the mother of my children misrepresented herself to me.

I visited a top restaurant in Lagos back in January, 2015 where I met my current girlfriend. Truth be told, it was a one night stand that sort of just blossomed into a serious relationship. Before we got serious, I and Yemisi talked about everything – marriage goals, career, kids, extended families. We were brutally honest with each other and shared ‘secrets’, everything about our past relationships. I never felt happier and more fulfilled waking up in the mornings and dressing up to leave for work knowing I was going to see my babe every evening.

Yemisi never spent a night at my place no matter how much I pressured her. I took it that it meant she was well disciplined and sincerely had no reason to worry my head. Afterall I saw her whenever I wanted. The days were all ours to enjoy and get naughty in each other’s arms. It seemed as though we were perfect for each other.


This woman is kinky! On her own, whenever we made love, Yemi will take photos of us in the heat of the moment because according to her, she needed something to remind her of me till we stay together again.

I was so in love and very fulfilled! Yemi met my family and the handful of friends that I keep. I never got to meet hers except for her best friend who came around to pick her from my place once or twice.

Last week, out of the blues, Yemisi showed up at my place panicking and in tears. She was shaking. I was trying to get her to calm down when she started telling me that the last 21 months have been the best days of her life. How I am a perfect man and she wishes she had met me sooner. Then she asked me to listen to what she has to tell me no matter what.

Yemisi told me she has been married for 4 years to another man in this same Lagos! No kids yet.

That she and her husband had become frustrated with each other and their marriage, They were not agreeing on so many things and were having many conflicts. The night we first met at the restaurant, she and him had had a very heated argument, he abandoned the house for her, she left the house as well to go chill out, met me and ended up in my bed.

Well, her husband has found out she was cheating on him, he had seen our N@kkd pictures, flew into a rage, and threw her out of his house! He’s threatening fire and brimstone that their marriage is over.

She’s currently staying with one of her aunts in Surulere while the family tries to make peace. That at this point in her life though, she doesn’t really care much if he doesn’t agree to take her back. She has realized I am the one she truly loves.

Because she didn’t want me to hear the story  from anyone else, she came to tell me herself.

I was way too shocked to say anything else till Yemisi left my house. I told my family and friends. They are all in shock as well.

I haven’t talked to Yemisi since she came to confess. She hasn’t called me either. What do I do?

Yemisi hasn't called you afterwards cos she thinks you can't be with her anymore,she hid this away from you all this while,she feels you will never forgive her. Try to find out what they were always fighting about. She has been married for 4years without a child?? Well, different folks in the HR departments of most firms today use different means to get the right candidate (s).

To your questions,
1. She was supposed to act "Normal" without putting forward any form of familiarity. A friend of mine was once interviewing a friend of his for a role. He went to the extent of asking harder questions just to prove to the panel he was not gonna be biased and his friend got the job. If it is for a SOCIAL MEDIA ROLES, she might go to the extent of saying she has a large friends list in order to promote her brand or a firm's brand and that she "recently accepted a Facebook request from some people even a day before". That's more like it.
2. He might want to test how often she socializes on Social Media and also, to get a detailed info from her profile. Only your friends on facebook can see some details on your profile anyway.
3. NO!NO!NO! It doesn't mean at all but might play a part, Guys ehnn
4. She may Try that at her own detriment, that's probably why the guy did that. If she begins to lobby and try to pressure the guy to considering her, then she is done for as the guy would always demand whatever from her after she joins the firm. Let her keep her cool, maintain her integrity and allow God help her out.

The next day,she got an invite for an interview in a company. The company name seemed familiar cos she realised she saw it somewhere,the guy that sent her a Facebook request works for the company as the Human resource manager. She attended the interview, lo and behold her interviewer was the hr manager that added her on facebook. She acted normally without acting like the face seemed familiar.
My questions are as follows:-
1) Was she supposed to act like the face seemed familiar and even go to the extent of saying "I recently accepted a Facebook request from you".
2) Why did he choose to add her on facebook before sending her an invite for interview?
3) Does it mean he would consider her?
4) Can she chat him up on Facebook saying "you interviewed me,hope i'll be offered the jobthing,etc" and also act friendly or she should just forget about the whole thing and pray she gets it.

He came up with the borrowing part so you would know it's not his personal money.Don't be surprised when he asks you for a refund later,cos he'll need to pay the person he borrowed it from. It'll still mean that you paid his ticket fee. Scamming is a gradual process, he can't just hit you once...it's gradually,he's almost there

1- the time is too short, please show some restrain and test the relationship for another 6months
2-he doesn't have a work and spends lots of time on skyppe for hours !

3- finally he may not be asking you of money now but he had prepared the ground well enough. No job? To borrowed money? It is a matter of time he will ask you.

I think you should go with this advice...Be ready to refund him the ticket fee because he will tell you he borrowed it and he needs to pay back...and you know he isn't working.. so you will definitely have to sort that out.
I think you should pretend and make him understand that you're only managing in Germany and you don't have much...then watch his reaction. So if he still decides to come, he wouldn't have the guts to ask you for a refund for the ticket fee he borrowed.
Secondly, only a scammer would spend time skyping apart from top business executives as this poster i quoted stated...
Just use your brain...If you fall mugu, OYO is your case!
