PoliticsFuel Subsidy: Tam David-west Berates Buhari's Government by Chimdiebere(op): 7:15pm On May 21, 2016
– The fuel price increase is still a front-burner issue in Nigeria– Former minister of petroleum and energy, Prof Tam David-West has added his voice to the debate– David-West is one of the vocal supporters of President Muhammadu BuhariThedecision of the federal government to remove petroleum subsidiesthereby increasing the pump price of a litre of fuel has not gone down well with Professor Tam David-West.A vocal supporter of President Buhari, the former minister of petroleum and energy berated the Federal Government for increasing the price, saying it is nonsense and unjustifiable.Prof Tam David-WestSpeaking with Daily Sun yesterday, May 20, in Ibadan; the Oyo state capital, David-West stated that petrolcan be sold at N40 per litre in Nigeria.David-West had adopted the same stand before the 2015 general elections where he boasted that petrol will be sold for N40 per litre if Buhari was elected president.According to him, Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF), demurrage, charges by Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), jetty and depot charges, retailer’s margin on petroleum, transporter’s margin on petroleum, dealer’s margin on petroleum, smuggling across borders, storage and so on were some of the additional charges put on the price ofPMS.

His words:“When I heard the minister of state for petroleum (Ibe Kachikwu), saying they smuggled ourpetrol across borders and that was the reason for the increase, it is nonsense. I used the word nonsensebecause during my time, we closed the borders. If I could do it, he could do it too; and it is the same head of state (Buhari).“We ensured there was no petrol station several kilometres to the borders. Government would not approve fuel station that is close to the borders. Another illogicality of that argument is if you sell petrol in Nigeria for N150 per litre, the peopleacross the borders are ready to pay N160; if you sell for N200, they are ready to pay N210. So, there will still be smuggling. So, increasing petrol price in Nigeria does not stop smuggling.”He noted further that“the fuel price increase is confusing. A government official said it is subsidy removal, which is not. Another one says smuggling, which is untenable. Foreign exchange (Forex) was also mentioned, which is partially tenable because the country’s foreign exchange has gone down drastically. So, it is so difficult now to source forex to import fuel.“If I am into managing of oil and foreign exchange goes down, why should a man on the street pay for it? No matter the reason, N145 per litre is not justified. If they removed all the unnecessary additions on the price of petroleum such as bridging or Petroleum Equalisation Fund, dealer’s margin, transporter’s margin, retailer’s margin, storage, depot margin, and NPA charges, petrol price will come down to N40 per litre.”He decried the confusion that has characterized the announcement of the policy, stating that the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie- Oyegun and Kachikwu said the hike in fuel price was necessitated by subsidy removal, but the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, said itwas because of foreign exchange. He said:“What they are doing is embarrassing to him. Buhari has saidit repeatedly that there is no subsidy.I stand by him that there is no subsidy as such. If you say you have come to remove subsidy, will you remove what does not exist?“Kachikwu, I don’t know him and I have never met him before; he is brilliant from his CV (Curriculum Vitae). I respect him for his CV. He has got a very beautiful CV. But sometimes, he says things that are, to me, outrageous.“A business man runs a business to make profit. Government should encourage businessmen to be in business by allowing them not to run at a loss. Government also has a responsibility to make sure that businessmen do not exploit the people.“Right now, we are interested more in businessmen making profit while they (government) turned their back to common man being exploited or suffering.”

Meanwhile, the Vehicle Owners Association of Nigeria (VOAN) has condemned the decision by the federal governmentto remove the petroleum subsidy, in the face of socio-economic hardship being experienced in the country. The group also called for immediate reversal of the policy which it described as“obnoxious and anti-people”;even as it enjoined President Buhari to urgently summon a stakeholders meeting in other to find lasting solution to the energy crisis instead of resorting to piece-meal approach in solving the problem.

CrimeRe: A Letter To Abia State Governor And Warning To Abians! by Chimdiebere(op): 3:03pm On May 17, 2016
good day Mods, pls help me push this to the Front page let Abians and other south easterners be at red alert so that they wont say they weren't told . thanks
CrimeA Letter To Abia State Governor And Warning To Abians! by Chimdiebere(op): 2:55pm On May 17, 2016
OKEZIE IKPEAZU: YOU ARE SURROUNDED ALREADY, ALERT YOUR PEOPLE.

Dear Governor Okezie,I am writing you this letter out of my love and concern for my people and birthplace, Abia state. I also want to appreciate the speed with which you rose to the occasion last time. I also thank you for taking urgent steps in preventing the loss of lives in the state. However, Dear Governor, the danger is not over but imminent and this is why I am undertaking to write you again.RED ALERT: RED ALERT!!! BOMB AND GUNS FOUND IN A LUXURIOUS BUS IN ABA. You did not announce the previous escapade at the Central mosque, Aba and this is very dangerous. Our people are sitting on a time bomb and they should be made aware of it. You will not want to wish "HAD I KNOWN" nor blame yourself eternally if the singular act of keeping mute cost lives. It is an established fact that on Friday night, some Hausa/Fulani were caught with 4 bags stocked with guns and bombs after boarding a luxurious bus for night journey at "Dan Dollas transport company park located at Milverton Aba. Because of the fear of the bomb exploding, people called the police and the Hausas were arrested as the police took away the bags of guns and the bomb. This information is verifiable. It is real!

ALERT: RED ALERT!!! HAUSA/FULANI ARE READY TO ATTACK THE CITY OF ABA ANY MOMENT FROM NOWAnother information reaching us now is that; last night some Hausa-Fulani were on their way from Abuja to Aba in preparation to attack Aba. Right now they have landed in Aba. They have been offloaded at Aba park opposite FG Onyenwe beside First Bank. They are dispersing to various location. Do act quickly and save your people from vengeful destruction. We have never been same with these vampires. Why give them impunity in our land? They are definitely not from Libya. For how long will innocent blood be shed? Can Biafrans who stay in the north do what they are doing in our lands with impunity? Their governors are making life hard for our people over there and they still come here to discomfort us. Your excellency, do act immediately. Let all the mosques, be searched and closedupon discovery or they will turn our land to Borno etc. If that happens, God forbid, you will only have yourself to blame for ignoring this timely warning.GUNS GUNS GUNS: 5,000 AMMUNITIONS RECOVERED FROM HAUSA/FULANISIt will be recalled that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, warned of this invasion of Biafra land by the Hausa-Fulani over a year ago and was shouting his head off on Radio Biafra, but as the saying goes, "a prophet is worthless in his own land". You all said he is preaching hate. Now what Nnamdi Kanu saw a year ago, and went as far as informing the World Igbo Congress at Los Angeles California, USA is about happening before us. Can we say we were not informed? These people are carrying out a command issued by Othman Danfodio and reiterated by Sir Ahmadu Bello. We are blind deaf and dumb because we have no fathers or elders who can see beyond their noses. Now they and their generation are about to be wiped out of the face of the earth, and no one to inherit their all ill-gotten wealth.

Okezie Ikeazu, will you still be stupid andfoolish to allow the uncircumcised Hausa-Fulani to wipe off your generation? What do you think 5,000 guns are doing in your state? Why the heavy influx of Hausa Fulanis into Aba? Why have you failed to raise the alarm with all the information and abundant evidence of an imminent attack of your state?

Let me inform you that you are not left out of this annihilation plan, because the security you have is the one to assassinate you. If you like raise the alarm and do something, if you don't, keep quiet. When Hausa-Fulani take overAbia state, do you think you will continueto be governor?A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE MR. GOVERNOR.

akinmusi:
@op how do you change a static IP? Will changing your ISP automatically change your IP?

For instance, I discovered my IP cannot allow me make online payment via my ATM.

How do I change such IP?

I discovered this because I am using the system and modem of my friend who recently left the country. And having talked to somebody about it, I was told the IP has been blacklisted.

What gave me concern was when the site I used in hosting my property ads notified me that I was reported for violating their terms and condition being the fact that I refused to meet clients and asking for money before delivery. I was like "how?"

Please enlighten me and suggest ways to correct this. I am sure some other people might have such problems too and yet to know.

Guy you be confam olodo trying to prove u know something. Please what is the difference between Mbps and Mb/s. They are the same thing or do u think Mb/s and MB/s are the same? U no get eyes to see that the b in ur test is in small letter which means bits, its the same as mbps. I laugh in Spanish.

What u are getting is 3.8 megabits per second. 1 byte =8 bits. So to convert ur 3.8Mb/s to MB/s will give 0.47MB/s. To convert greenhulk's 14mbps to MB/s will give 1.75MB/s. Now do the maths and tell us which is faster.

Stupedinluv:
At 20, i have come to realise the joy and fulfilment in living life to the fullest. Coming from a noble home, i was not raised to be a man's stooge not to talk of an animal's. My worth was defined from the day i stepped into earth and has been shapened overtime. I was taught the right and the wrong. And that moral laws condone no breaker. If a woman must be condemned and despised for a crime, a man must by all means face the same. I believed this and i knew before God and men it was the truth. I didnt just believe, it became real to me and has influenced my judgement.

However, the society has flung half of this truth and has held on to a part because of how drunk in power it has become and the advantage this fist had fetched it.

We are aware now of this evil conditioning that a woman who sleeps around is a slut and should be desired less but a man who does same a stud and should be the craving of every woman. Many men have quietly nodded in agreement and a few mouthy ones have not failed to vocalise their agreement. And women? So many to the shame of dignity and womanhood have sang along with the men. And you wonder which would sacrifice her pride to make a stud!?

Because to make more studs we need more sluts. Can any of you women come out and offer yourself to a man who would dump you for another. If you cannot hold your peace and stupidity!

A stud is a man who is sexually attractive to so many women. So they say! but i see a stud as an animal who is unable to control its sexual desires, hates monogamous relationships and (therefore) deserves to be judged and condemned.

Women who say they are attracted to studs and hate inexperienced men need not only their heads examined but their consciences and should not take offence when they are called sluts. Cos only a slut or zombie would reason this way.

A stud has nothing tangible to offer except to toy with my emotion, cause me heart breaks and render me unproductive.

For every stud out there there are ten whores rendering my gender useless and subjecting me to prove myself as a woman of pride and esteem all the time. Nothanks.
I kinda like ihr(your) courage approaching this topic, even if you think there're hoes and stud's . Fact is that even non virgin men aren't all studs, some virgin guys have bad behaviors e.g like some of my friends and others. but some don't . same applies to the non virgins

CrimeWidow Butchered In Delta Community, Suspect Nabbed by Chimdiebere(op): 3:34pm On Mar 30, 2016
PALPABLE tension has continued to mount in Oki-Agbor community in Delta State following the gruesome murder of a 48-year-old widow, Mrs.Nkemelem Dorothy Onahor, by suspected assassins.Though the police in Agbor have arrested the prime suspect identifiedas Christian (surname withheld) and two other persons, the killing of the widow has continued to create ripples within the Agbor community and its environs.Police image maker in the state, Mrs.Celestina Kalu, who spoke with journalists in Asaba on Tuesday, said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation, adding that more arrests would be made.A source at the Oki community, Mr. John Ogbeide, said late Mrs. Onahor was on her way to Oke community to attend a burial ceremony in her late husband’s family compound when the suspected assassins attacked and took her life.It was gathered that the prime suspect (Christian) had waited for two days at particular spot for the victim, knowing that she would be attending a burial ceremony and attacked her with machetes.Christian had earlier smashed her carwindscreen, forcing the woman to alight from her car to ask for the reason for the aggressive act.It was further gathered that the prime suspect and the late husband of the woman hailed from the same Oki community and were friends.Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, said the suspect, after dismembering the victim, assembled her parts into the booth of her Camry Car.Kalu pointed out that it was at the point of driving the car away from the crime scene that the suspect wasstopped for interrogation by motorcyclists operating within the area.Sources explained that after questioning, the motorcyclists saw parts of the body of the woman in the booth and handed the suspect over to the police.Meanwhile, angry youths in Oki community on Monday assembled atChirstian’s house where they allegedly set his belongings ablaze.
