Nymph node:
I've read everybody's comment on adaptation of bio degradable material yet nobody mentioned having seen one being used in water packaging, (2) Please on a curios note, is there any bio degradable company in Nigeria?
My Brother I don't want to say much on that, but the truth is that the cost of producing biodegradable package material is far higher than that of polythene. May be the cost of pure water will be like N50 only per sachet
Business › Re: Should Pure Water Be Banned? by chines4(m): 10:47am On Jul 21, 2011
The only major issue with pure water, is the environmental issue. The issue of how pure is the pure water have to do with adulteration, even the bottled one is not fake proof. But if the government bans pure water(sachet water), It means that street will be filled with bottled water cans. and we will still have the same environmental issue.

Personally I believe that the government should be proactive in finding solution to this. In developed world ppl always dispose recyclable material different from others.

Anambra State government is working with the idea of buying back, used pure water sachets and bottled water cans from the public, this way they can be able to sell it to recycling plants. This will help make the environment clean and the public will comply knowing that there is equally an economic benefit attached to the used sachets and cans.
Pure water? shocked shocked In the year 2011?

Who still drinks that? undecided
I use bottled water and pure water, But I normally buy from my friends factory, with good water treatment system and automated packaging system.
beside its the same water that fills the bottle water cans that equally fills the pure water sachets. The price diff. is due to cost of Packaging.
Beside my kids prefers it to bottled water, they can easily take one drink half and take another one, by the time I get home from work I will see about 6 pure water sachet half filled. And I have just two kids now.
Crime › Re: [horrific] Woman Arrested For Battering Her Son [photos Inside] by chines4(m): 9:50am On Jul 21, 2011
This is just another case of child abuse, I don't care if the woman is the mother or not. But she should face the full weight of the law. But do we have good law to protect the right of children in this country.

And let me just say it here, If you witness an case of abuse against any child and you keep quite about it. u'r as guilt as the abuser.

Let us rise up and SAY NO TO CHILD ABUSE in what ever way. If that woman can inflict such magnitude of injury on her own son, what if the child is not hers. My heart goes out to those house helps out there that are being abused by their Aunties and masters.

And you the abuser remember that God is watching you.

Seanet1000:
Your own solution will also be appreciated.
I can still remember that during my childhood days, we plant bamboo along any erosion part near our house to control it. This we do toward the end of raining season to ensure that they grow before dry season.

Kobojunkie:
You live in a democracy and you still ask "What do we do?" You already hired people to do something about this - - GOVERNMENT! So, are you trying to do the job for them now? Or are you a millionaire that you want to use your money to do solve the problem of erosion in Anambra state? shocked shocked shocked shocked
I believe that is equally part of our problem, we want government to do everything, Nigeria government will not come until the situation is out of hand. Properties and even lives might be lost before government will even attempt to do anything. But we can stop it from getting out of hand, if we manage it on time.

eewule:
Very true ,    I read on another similar thread on Nairaland, that the reason for this mentality with naija ladies is because they belive that their future husband will cheat on them (considering how so many young fine women are easily available to anyman with a little cash these days - and all their future husband has to do is pay) So they also try to enjoy themself as much as they can today before they get married, while passing-off potential husbands - but by the time they are ready no one wants them anymore.
Hmm Am hearing this for the first time.
Politics › Re: Landslide Gulps 13 Buildings, Sacks 28 Families In Anambra by chines4(m): 6:22pm On Jul 19, 2011
I took my time to read almost all the write ups in this this thread. I don't see any body proffering solution. The whole thread is filled with name calling, arguments, counter arguments, lectures, copy and paste, blames, just name it. but no solution.

The big question is What do we do? and please get the government out of it. Especially how can we prevent it from getting up to that huge magnitude.

LOOK the Question you need to ask all these MUSLIM FANATIC is that who heads the ISLAMIC BANK, IS it not anoda Ploy to cause disruption Nationwide all in the name of RELIGION, then only Muslims can work their ,THE FREE INTEREST THING IS JUST A BAIT to make it attractive, IT CANT WORK IN NIGERIA if you guys are not satisfied all of you can LIVE 9ijiria for us and go and CREATE your OUR ISLAMIC WHATEVA elsewhere
Tony the issue of who works there or not is not a problem. If they want they can employ only Muslims fine, its still job creation. I heard that the Catholic church have floated Vatican Bank,With the same principle of Interest free banking, they can as well employ only Catholics. . Let us learn to be tolerant, this is our country and we need to work as a team to achieve greatness.

First make sure that the product is not in Nigeria import prohibition list

Secondly its not drugs, food or is used on human. If yes get NAFDAC number

A lot of other products apart from Industrial machines and agricultural machines will require SONCAP, The exporter is expected to get that certificate for each of their products that they are exporting to Nigeria.
