Feminism has not been half successful in Africa, in my opinion. Heck, it's not fully successful in the west either.

I am no feminist but kudos to the feminists. However, I think the reason feminism will take a long toll in attaining much success in Africa is that most females take it to the head hence finding it difficult to differentiate between feminism and misandry. While some females have become so used to male domination that they don't even encourage their fellow females who fight for that cause. Rather, they are scorned as being foolish. How can you succeed when your fellow females think you're foolish to question what is considered the norm? - male domination.

This is why I don't wanna be entangled in the whole feminist thingy. I'd rather work hard and earn my stripes but if I feel mistreated, then I'll see the need to scream 'feminism'.

You're right but athletes are still not as respected as say lawyers and doctors in the african sense. I think it has to do with people's perspective of rap music. Not all forms of rap preach about violence. Another Nigerian rapper is Wale, I don't know if both his parents are Nigerians.

I was surprised too when I found out he was nigerian, but it is only his dad. His mom is an akata. That explains why. I don't think if both his mother and father werer nigerian/african he would turn out that way.
