I heard they waived it for the babies (for the second evacuation flight).

Just to mention. If you are using the evacuation flight, you will be allowed to board the flight with just the birth certificate and an Emergency Travel Certificate issued by the Nigerian Embassy.

Hello All,

I had my baby April 11 in LA. I'm back home in Lagos and still recovering from the hustle of the trip. This trip was a big testimony for me and my baby.

When am able to type my 10 page story i will post.

it's okay to use an agent. Just make sure the appointment he/she gets for you is for B1/B2 or your class of visa. Some agents will get you early dates and when you go for your interview you will realise they got you humanitarian work or Vocational study appointment. Those appointment dates are always available.

please i still need answers to my questions. Since she told the visa officer she's going to houston to use oakbend, is it okay if she goes to florida.

has anyone done this before and did they encounter any issue at Poe and visa renewal.

In the spirit of sharing. My sister got her visa on monday at the Lagos Embassy. She's never been to the US before.

she was only asked why she is going to yankee for birth and she said dual citizenship for better opportunity. she used oakbend hospital to prepare her budget sheet and she was asked how much she had for the trip and proof of fund. The visa officer told her that oakbend is fond of giving people discount and will now send the bill to Medicaid. That she should not accept it. She should pay the full medical bill. As she was leaving, the security lady told her that she's the only person they have given today.

please my people will it affect her visa if she ports to florida. someone said they were turned back cos they went to another state. I dont agree. please advise.

Don't listen to them. I insisted that I had changed my passport after marriage and the lady added my marriage certificate and newspaper publication plus my itemized bill and receipt. I mean my new passport had a different last name compared to my last visa. how do you explain that.

You should insist. At most they will call supervisor and you explain.

I beg @Chiowerri, damsell, bambambig, una be LA mom, are you staying with someone or you rent an apartment. If you rent an apartment can we share please.
Am making this request because I want to have a second plan in case if my host disappoint me. Don't want to be hanging in a strange man land.

And BY the way I know about the website airnb or so but I can't just pay like that without seeing what's on ground.

If you have any plan, please let's hook up. Will be in LA next week.[/quote]

damsell:
@Chiowerri yes indeed o. I'm just seeing their mail now. Hopefully this price doesn't change again for the longest time being. If only they would accept a prepayment so one can lock down the contract. I'm a January mum, you? God bless all the new mamas and lo's and all our plans.

Am a december mom. Journey will start in November
