Went there with 3 of my hubby's bank statements but the highest was over 3m which I quoted and mine mine over 500k . My total budget was almost 2.6m and I didn't appear terrified. We thinking of applying together next time sha but after getting UK visas. Thanks a lot

LI:
Maybe reapply with your husband. Let's also drill down on the earnings and bank balance: could be that too but we won't know since you didn't say

I guess today is a bad day for many people. Went for mine today in Abuja and wasn't successful , a lot of ppl were denied. I am very much grateful to God for bringing me this far cos I know that denial ain't rejection and my baby is already blessed whether birthed in US or here , I say thank you to everyone here for the wealth of Knowledge I have earned. No knowledge is a waste, tomorrow is another day.

Here is my transcript;

Vo: Good morning
Me: Good morning ma'am with a warm smile
Vo: where in the US are u going to
Me: Elpaso Texas
Vo: For what?
Me: To have my baby
Vo: why in the US
Me: cos I want to access the best standard of care in the world for myself and baby
Vo:What do u do?
Me: I am a .........In ........
Vo: How much is involved?
Me: Said and gave her my budget sheet and employment letter as she said the two simultaneously but she said 'no no no am fine'
Kept on maintaining eye contact as she was typing
Vo: How much do u earn?
Me: ........ but my hubby will be sponsoring
Vo:What does ur hubby do?
Me: I said......
Vo: How much does he earn?
Me: Told her he doesn't earn a specific amount as he is a business man but he earns an average of ......monthly. Tried showing her his biz document for where she didn't answer me. Kept on typing
Vo: How much does he have in his account?
Me: Told her over..... again not interested in the statement
Vo: Quickly asked how much I have in mine
Me: Told her, pushing forward our bank statements for confirmation but she didn't collect
Vo: Does ur hubby have US visa
Me: No ma'am
Vo: Am sorry ma'am I can't ........... puts the green paper in my pp and handed over to me and said Goodluck. She wasn't cheerful at all

I left there thinking aloud like what could have been wrong even with all my docs. She didn't even want to see any of burden of proof. I felt bad shape but that's life, in all I give God all the praise.
I wish everyone the best of luck in life's endeavour

Thanks Thanks Thanks!

Please my dear experienced mums and dads, I need ur advice on the exchange rate to use for my budget sheet. Used 250 naira to $1 and it summed to approximately 3M . @ KDK used 200 for his wife's recent interview, thinking of doing that but I want to be on a safe side that's why am asking. Please ur candid opinion will be appreciated. HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Chizee02: 6:06pm On Dec 27, 2015
KDK:
She went this month and I used statements from 3 weeks ago. They will usually check for the flow of fund into the account. I don't know how I will defend a black market rate if quizzed on it. So I stuck to the official rate as I am officially going to exchange fund irrespective of the 'wonders' these banks are performing. If you or your hubby works in certain companies, they will probably not look at your financial statements as the companies speak for you.
Ok thanks a lot, my hubby is a hotelier and that's his sole biz for now. He will be sponsoring the trip though I will support with the little savings I have. He says he will get his statement few days before the interview, me I will get mine too. My salary account and that of the savings with like 6 months payslip from my office. Maybe I will also stick to ur own rate cos that 250 makes the budget so outrageous. Didn't know they don't bother abt the current rate. My interview date is 14th of next month and I was relieved to hear ur wife was heavy when she went for hers cos I will be 35wks then shocked

Visa interview

Congrats KDK, wishing ur wife God's grace in her birthing journey. Pls I want to ask if it was this month that she went for the interview because of the exchange rate u used. What informed ur decision on that given the current exchange rate or do they have a particular rate acceptable by them at the embassy. My own budget is about $11k plus and it's more than urs in naira cos I used 250 as the exchange rate. Again how long before her interview did u get ur bank statement? Thanks

Main while u will even av to munch pages the person refused to read, or drop pages etc.. I'm fine even with d above.

It's d ones that has turned Me to Google, or asking a question I've already answered.... After claiming you av read all my posts... Like seriously

@Firsttymum, I didn't mean paying large sum of money rather was asking if there would be any problem if I get my statement 2wks before the interview.

Hi Vcole, pls I want to ask what if ones account statement is updated 2wks before the interview would there be a problem?

vcole:
Hi nuptial. The advise is to go with a minimum of 6 months' bank statement updated no more than 30 days to your interview (basically printed out within 30 days of your interview). However you can take a year's statement or more to your interview, there is nothing wrong. I took 1 year's statement, others have taken 8 months, some others 13 months.

The letter is usually sent by either Rodolfo or Melissa and it always comes with the price breakdown. Yoivate supposed to print it out for the interview, attached with the Doctor' s personalized letter.

BC cost $24 per copy. I made 2 copies.
SSN was free.
US passport was $180 for expedited, I think.
Naija visa was $300 for overnight delivery.

Ok that's the one am talking about. Thank u so much, God bless u for allaying my anxiety. Hope u don't mind if I ask u anymore questions in the future
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Chizee02: 6:39pm On Dec 12, 2015
Phema:
Were you given any price breakdown by the hospital's financial counsellor? If yes, then that should do. The price breakdown must not come from the Dr personally. As long as the Doctor gives you a letter stating that he/she has accepted to render his services to you. Same with the hospital.

I also used Rodolfo's contact details as my contact person. That is not an issue at all.

Goodluck your interview.
Well the first mail from Melissa stated the price breakdown but not from hospital's financial counsellor, I even asked Rodolfo if I could print that out and go with it but he said no need. What do u think? Also I want to how it cost u to get baby's BC, SSN, US PASSPORT AND NAIJA PASSPORT/VISA as the case may be. Want to construct my own budget sheet cheesy

105 of part 1.
@ Phema,
Thanks so much I have seen it, pls I need ur advice on something that has been bothering me. Am yet to be issued a visa and my appointment is on 14th Jan, I started the process late and will be due 3rd week of February. My worry is this, am using doctoresparati and when I was filling my application I hadn't gotten the Dr's letter as well as the hospital's price but I was in a haste to submit so I could get reasonable appointment for visa interview. As soon I enrolled with them I asked them what to fill as my US contact and organisation, so I was sent the contact of their director of admissions in the person of Rodolfo Gamez to use while I filled Doctoresparati as the organisation name. Along the line after I had submitted the form and gotten the date for interview, I paid for the Dr's personalised letter which I got along side the hospital's price list and I read on this thread that the contacts name should be the that of the Dr while the organisation is the hospital. Now am scared about that area, also the so called Dr's letter I got is exclusive of Dr's price. I have mailed them in my confusion to express myself they kept on reassuring me that that's all I need from them and that the embassy usually calls them to verify that I shouldn't worry. Now my question is how do I reconcile not having Dr's price list to support the estimate on my budget sheet and also the problem not adding the Dr s my contact. Please advice me wisely cos am scared

Its my pleasure. Kindly note that the list here is just a guide. However, the letter of introduction could add extra boost to your credibility, especially if it is a reputable coy cos it shows that you have their consent, but if you are unable to get one, your employment letter should be just fine.
Pls I want u ask, when u got ur Dr's correspondence was the Dr's price included and also can u describe what ur hospital letter looks like. Mine bears the logo of La Palmas $ Del Sol Health Care with the hospital prices while the Dr's letter is from Dr Anthonio De La without any price quotation, so am a bit confused. I have asked doctoresparati staff Rodolfo and he said that's all I need that the embassy always calls them to verify. Pls help me clarify these issues cost don't want something to affect my chances of getting visa.
