Politics / SULTAN’S VISIT: Kogi In Danger Of Religious Crisis by Chizgold: 6:54pm On Jan 31, 2017
The recent attempts by governor Bello of Kogi state to ignite romance with northern religious leaders may have potentially predisposed the state to endemic religious crisis regardless of its pious look.

Governor Bello had invited the Sultan of Sokoto and the Emir of Zazzua alongside a renown Islamic scholar to commission an ongoing building in the state tagged as Revenue House. The building, according to some reliable sources was still an ongoing project at the time of commissioning.

Meanwhile, the invitation of those traditional leaders is seen by some pundits as a political romance aimed at covering Bello’s 365 days palpable failure and untold hardship which his weak and puerile policy wrecked on the people of Kogi state.

This is coming same day the state’s chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC and concerned political leaders in the state lampooned the Governor and passed a vote of no confidence on him. According to them, Bello’s one year in office has further retarded the economic fortune of the state having squandered over 220 billion tax payers’ money without evidential proof of any executed project.

Like the child who lost her mother to child birth, Kogi state has been languishing in sorrow, shedding endless tears since the inception of Governor Bello administration which is characterized by anti-people policy. To others, Bello endless staff auditing and verification exercise has made him a ghost governor.

While I do not nurse any grudge against his eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto and the respected Emir of Zazzua as well the Islamic cleric invited by governor Bello, because, they are respected individuals who have contributed greatly in sustaining the peaceful coexistence of the entity called Nigeria but what flabbergasted my imagination was the lopsided approach employed in inviting them without considering other religion faithful’s in the state .
It should be on record that I owe these respected traditional rulers and the cleric a great deal of respect. However, the rationale behind their honouring Bello’s invitation remains eternally a puzzle and conundrum that cannot be unraveled. Perhaps they were not properly briefed of the situations of things in the state and that Governor Bello was merely using their presence in the state as a means of plastering and enveloping his awkward reigns and his gauche administration.

The very fact that other traditional rulers and Christian leaders were not part of Governor Bello’s scheme was another issue that requires proper dissection given the secularized nature of the state.

Though Bello and his handlers may have failed to learn from history as Kogi state since creation has never witnessed religion crisis nor attracted any acrimonious romance from any state considering its secular nature but for Bello to have extended his hand of fellowship only to Northern and Islamic leaders without recourse to the secular nature of the state where we have both Christians and Muslims, this indeed portend great disaster for the state.
It remains to be seen why other Christian and traditional leaders both within and outside the state were not deemed to be invited alongside Bello’s northern allies who only came as a cover up to his fiasco laden administration.

The visit of Bello’s Sultan and others has been seen by some analysts as a technical enslavement of the state to the northern Islamic leaders as it is widely believed that, the north orchestrated his ride to the throne to pave way for their domination in the state. However, this zigzag visitation has validated the unventilated thought of the people.

Like Nigeria, since creation, Kogi has been a secular state and no governor has given any religious colouration to its activities in the recent times. Even those Bello tagged as gatemen governors but who in all judgments performed credibly better than him never resorted to this level of myopic religious romance.

The state has never experienced religious crisis. It is on record that, when Sharia law crisis was looming across the country between 2000 and 2001, it took the wisdom of President Olusegun Obasanjo to stop the spread in the country and the talismanic leadership display of Former Governor Audu to keep the state on the trajectory of peace. Never in the history of state has any governor favoured a particular religion at the peril of others.

In a secular state like Kogi, the discerning public will expect the governor to be devoid of religious sentiment and would have balanced such invitation by inviting the president of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and Cardinal Onaiyekan, a highly revered clergy man from Kogi state. A governor that respects equity, fairness and justice should have trodden this solemn corridor.

Better still, how justifiable does it sound for a project that is totally funded and sponsored by the government using public funds to be used as a platform of begging for spiritual blessings and garnering royal influence even when the state workforce and the pensioners have not been paid for several months.
Apparently however, those who advised Governor Bello to take this ignoble step may have buried his political career in the early grave as he has proven beyond any reason doubt that his wantons ambition of coming back to Luggard House in 2019 is making him to go all out and step out of his way to attract sympathy from the same north that aided his emergence.

However, a cross section of Kogites are asking, why such an uncompleted building should be hurriedly commissioned when it is obvious that so many things were still needed to be done on the building project? This further showed that, Sultan and Co may have come to the state for other reasons Kogites do not understand. May be the concealed reasons may be excavated with time.

Kogites want to know why such a project could not attract the presence and the visit of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo or any Federal Minister for commissioning since it is a public project and Bello would rather use tax payers money to host religious leaders without due and holistic approach.

Besides endangering the state to Islamic enslavement, this lethargic approach taken by Governor Bello remains the highest insult of the Century since neither Governor Aminu Tambuwa of Sokoto state where the Sultan come from nor Governor El-rufai of Kaduna state, the state of Emir of Zazzua have at any time invited our respected Attah of Igala who doubles as the president of Traditional Council of Kogi state to commission projects in any of those states.

Since it has been rumoured that the northern political and religious elites galvanized supports for Bello’s emergence, Kogites will continue to watch if this glaring Islamic enslavement of the state and squandering of the state’s funds to perpetuate a sinking agenda is Bello’s way of rewarding his unseen political kingmakers.

Since Kogi state is a secular state, as it is always expected of any egalitarian society, fairness and equity should be the watchword of public officials in handling especially those issues that bother the peaceful coexistence and unity of the people.

Governor Bello should therefore swallow the bitter pill and explain to Kogites why he snubbed Christian leaders while commissioning his yet to be completed Revenue House.

Politics / Buhari’s All Purpose Cleanser by Chizgold: 4:36pm On Jan 31, 2017
Venue: A market place. A man walks in, a bundle in the right hand. There’s a megaphone in the right hand. He sets it carefully on the floor. He also places the bundle on the ground, opens it partly, and pulls out a broom. He sweeps an area, extending just a little beyond the stretch of the broom and his hand, and stands full length with the megaphone.]

Man: Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you good news. I bring you news of a discovery the Western world cannot boast of. I bring you news from the Giant of Africa, the original, one and only Nigeria.

In recent times, we have been hit by recession. We have been maligned. We have been insulted because things have not been going the way they should. You see, that’s normal. People must talk. People must complain.

You’ve heard that Tuface will be leading others on a protest. This is a democracy. It is allowed. People should be allowed to air their views. Some must complain, some must praise, but as a patriot, I look out for the good.

Yes, that’s what differentiates us. That is the demarcation between those who truly love this country, and those who love her for personal benefits. You can call me The Patriot, the only man who loves his country so much that he is always on the lookout for something good about her. That’s how in the midst of the complaints, the cries, the accusations and counter accusations, of people gaining and losing jobs, of people getting married and people breaking up, of churches losing members and gaining some, I have seen this amazing thing.

Our country is blessed. Ladies and gentlemen, we have discovered a cleanser in this country. A cleanser that does everything Western innovators never imagined. It is stronger that the best cleanser you’ve ever seen. It has more weight than the Certificate of Papal Indulgence. It cleanses guilt, moral burdens, negative tags, crimes, everything!

If you’re accused of stealing, I mean real theft in the range of a people’s commonwealth, this cleanser will cleanse you. If you murdered someone and you’re standing trial, get this cleanser and you’ll get a new life. If the government had bad things against you, don’t worry, get this cleanser, and you’ll be free.

My people, I present to you…’

[He puts his hand in the bundle, pulls out a beautifully painted broom, and continued]

‘…this beautifully painted broom. No matter your dirt, take this, and you’ll be as beautiful, devoid of all dirt, as this broom.

My good people, this is all you need to do anything in this society and go scot-free. This is the balm, the remedy, the soothing cream, our latest invention from the Giant of Africa. This is the All Purpose Cleanser, also called APC.

Culture / Gashaka Gets New Lamdo by Chizgold: 4:24pm On Jan 29, 2017
The new Emir of Gashaka, Alhaji Zubairu Hamman Gabdo Sambo yesterday received his staff of office from Taraba state Governor Architect Darius Ishaku.

Zubairu Hamman Gabdo succeeded his father the late Mohammed Hamman Gabdo ll who died in October last year following a protracted illness.

Presenting the staff of office, Governor Darius Ishaku charged the new Lamdo of Gashaka HRH Zubairu Haman Gabdo Sambo lll to work in the footsteps of his predecessor to ensure that the Chiefdom continues to enjoy peace.

Ishaku urged the Lamdo to imbibe the leadership style of his late father that made him stand out as one of the most acceptable leaders in the state.

“Let me congratulate you on this great occasion and remind you that the task ahead of you is enormous. Fitting in the shoes of your late father is not an enviable task, yet one you must carry out with all sense of responsibility” he said.

He also emphasized the need for a more harmonious relationship between the govt and the kingdoms to combat the spate of insecurity in the state and region at large, while reiterating his confidence in the new First Class Monarch to discharge his duties above expectation.

“From my experience working with His Royal Highness, I know that he would not disappoint any of us. I am sure that he would live above expectations”, Ishaku said.

In his remarks, the Monarch promised to follow the footsteps of his late father and encouraged the people to key into the rescue mission to move the state forward.

Zubairu said that the efforts of the government in restoring peace and repositioning the state for development were commendable and called on the people to embrace agric to ensure food security.

“It is my pledge to you today that, I will rule you with justice and fairness. I will ensure that there is no discrimination on any basis. I therefore call on you all to embrace agriculture so that food security would be guaranteed throughout the kingdom and even beyond”.

He also called on the people to be vigilant to protect the chiefdom from criminal elements while ensuring tolerance and understanding so that peace and prosperity would reign.

Politics / Toucher-in-chief: Scandal On The Boil by Chizgold: 3:29pm On Jan 28, 2017
The relationship between President Ronald Regan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was totally pure. They both admired and loved each other and their families. Ronald and Nancy Regan both loved Margaret Thatcher. It was pure! If Ronald Regan and Margaret Thatcher locked each other up in a room, Nancy would rest assured knowing that they were discussing serious affairs of states.

Not so with Donald Trump and Brexit Prime Minister Theresa May. With his recorded groping and grabbing history, Donald Trump would give any husband a heart attack if they knew that he got too close to their wife. Which is why Trump’s touchy-feely with Theresa May in the first week of his presidency is concerning. This is the same guy who completely shunned his wife even as the whole world watched on Inauguration Day. This guy is a major presidential scandal on the boil. He has no sense of boundaries. What male president goes holding hands with a visiting female head of state, whom he had never met, in the first week of his presidency?

I’m just saying that, given everI’m just saying that, given everything we know about Donald Trump’s philandering behavior, it should be a matter for global discomfort to watch him get touchy-feely with Prime Minister Theresa May of the United Kingdom....

Politics / Zik For Buhari by Chizgold: 12:52am On Jan 28, 2017
If I were ever to advise President Buhari to plagiarize a speech, it will be the following speech by the late Owelle of Onitsha, Chief (Dr.) Nnamdi Azikiwe, on his rumored death:

“I am seventy-eight years, nine months, one week today and I thought that I should write and congratulate certain politicians on their inglorious and futile attempts to destroy the soi-distant Zik Myth. In spite of the New Nigeria, the NTA, the FRCN, et cetera, whose propensity for calumniating my reputation blatantly has become pathological and incessant, and whose penchant for sycophancy in order to entrench unpopular governments is now an open secret, my head is bloody but unbowed…

Since in their blind hatred of the NPP and their mad ambition to support those who cling to power irrespective of the unpopular will, they are determined to destroy the Zik Myth; to destabilize the NPP states (as, indeed, the present elections have almost succeeded in doing); to baffle voters who constitute the electorate of Nigeria; to bamboozle the people of Nigeria by manipulating the instruments of coercion for the security of the machinery of the ballot; to try to justify a one-party state in Nigeria, wittingly or unwittingly; and these bigots profess belief in an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God….

I am supremely convinced that almighty God will frustrate their knavery and ultimately expose their machinations and consign them to the heap of forgotten tyrants. History will vindicate the just and God shall punish the wicked…..

Finally, may I now recount the disputations of those who are using the print and electronic media to make mockery of old age. Here I kneel and pray to Almighty God, the creator of the universe – my maker, who knows why I was created and what is my destiny, to demonstrate to infidels and miscreants that they will not live to be old. And I trust that they will...

Politics / Is President Buhari Dead? by Chizgold: 2:20pm On Jan 27, 2017
Just a few days ago, the Presidency announced that it will be clamping down on anybody who peddles damaging rumours about the President’s health. As I write this, it is unclear if this falls under the category of “damaging rumours”. What is however clear is that when facts are not presented to dispel rumours, they feed fat, and blossom. The attempt here is to offer an easier way of dispelling the rumours(which will cost less and be faster than “clamping down” on rumour mongers)

Now, two publications started this whole trend of President Buhari being dead, or committing suicide. One was a purported publication by Metro UK(which claimed the President died in a London hospital), and another by Huffington Post(which alleged that security around the President has been beefed up following his attempt at suicide). While Huffington Post and Metro UK are credible international news sources, a little scraping of the surface immediately reveals that the publications did not emanate from the famed news outlets. Cable NG, in an incisive work, had done half the job for the Presidency by revealing the following;

The two sites–Huffington Post and Metro UK— are spoofs, and impersonations of the real sites. For instance, while the original Huffington Post is domiciled at www.huffingtonpost.com (or huffingtonpost.co.uk for its UK edition),the fake site that announced President Buhari’s attempted suicide is domiciled at www.huffingtonpost-fm.com. For Metro UK, while the original site is domiciled at www.metro.co.uk, the fake site is domiciled at metro-uk.com.

The two sites are owned by Wild West Domains( as is obtainable by visiting whois.domaintools.com), and were registered in Arizona, USA. It is highly unlikely a coincidence that both sites are owned by the same hosts! The original Huffington Post domain (huffingtonpost.com) was created on the 25th of March, 2005, and owned by CSC CORPORATE DOMAINS, INC., while the real Metro UK was created on the 1st of August, 1996!

The fake Huffington Post site was registered on November 19, 2016, while the fake Metro UK site was registered on October 25, 2016. Meanwhile, the real sites have been in existence for years as can be seen in (2) above!

The investigative work done by Cable NG( with some extras by me), thus clearly shows that the news of President Buhari’s death and attempted suicide came from sites that cannot be trusted.

However, Nigerians have been here before. Between 2009-2010, the President Umar Yar’adua rumours persisted and for months, the true state of his health was not made known to the people. This was so much so that when news of his death was finally broken by the Presidency, many Nigerians felt that they had been lied to all along. This is one of the key reasons why the rumours surrounding President Muhammadu Buhari have refused to go. Having been here before, majority of Nigerians are suddenly apprehensive that the Yar’adua tape is rolling again.

Which brings me to the main point of this article; if the President is alive and well, what would it take for the Presidency to release concrete proof of this? Surely, it wouldn’t take much to shoot a two-minute video of him(perhaps chatting with a visitor) and share through his Twitter handle, thus dispelling all of the rumours once and for all. Why is it easier to go through the onerous task of trying to clampdown on those spreading the rumours, instead of spending three minutes to dispel the rumours with concrete facts? There is no point in saying; “it is not necessary, he does not have to answer to such baseless rumours”. There is every point in doing that, after all, he is owned by the people, who have every right to demand anything from him.

For a government that strode to power by exploiting the media, and one that grabs with both hands every opportunity to interact with the people through Social Media, the silence that has followed the rumours is almost deafening! Empty statements will not do for now, neither will posting a...

Fashion / 17-year Old Dream Clothing CEO Shares “her Dream” by Chizgold: 4:18am On Jan 25, 2017
It is not often that one finds a young person who is fully committed to letting her inner fantasies translate to concrete expression. In 17-year old Moshope Onafuwa, one finds what one may call a “whiz kid”.

Moshope Onafuwa is a designer, and CEO of Dream Clothing. In this interview with Ikenga Chronicles, she takes us through her journey, and lets us into the thought processes that led to the establishment of Dream Clothing.

Who is the quintessential “Dream Clothing” girl known as Onafuwa Moshope?

My name is Moshope Onafuwa and I am 17 years old. I am in full time education and attend Leyton Sixth Form College. I am a freelance hairdresser, an athlete, I also work and now I’m the CEO of Dream Clothing.

Why the name “Dream Clothing”?
Let me ask you a question; have you ever had a dream where life was less challenging and everything you wished for was happening? You were taking matters into your own hands and making your own decisions as you go about? I have, I’ve had dreams where I was in control and I was living my ideal life. Having dreams where I knew couldn’t become reality. Dreams are based on what you are thinking so why not proceed with your dream and achieve it? We all have dreams and we are all capable of making them happen. Everyone can relate to the word “dream” so that’s why I called it Dream Clothing. If you can dream it then you can definitely achieve it.

How would you rate your level of creativity as a young designer?

To be fair I wouldn’t rate my level of creativity as we are all different and have a different view of what is creative. As a young black girl I would say that my design is unique as it’s not just words. It has a moral to it that everyone should hopefully be able to relate to.

What does your “Dream Clothing” image mean to you?

The logo means a lot, it not only has a message but it also conveys my life. I dream regularly and maybe too much that I can’t remember my dream because I have a lot to think about and I come up with a vast amount of ideas but I never bring them forward to the table. I’ve always dreamt of having my own business, being my own boss and doing something productive with my life to make my family happy, especially when I get told I sleep way too much. But sleep is not sleep anymore, it’s to escape from reality and live my fantasy world. But if it’s easy to control my dreams then controlling my life should be twice as easy.

What’s the inspiration behind the designs you’ve created with “Dream Clothing”?

At first I had an idea to create a brand which related more to African black women with natural hair. But when I came to designing the logo I asked for opinions and they weren’t as positive as I hoped for as it only attracted black females and not every female is black so it would have been harder to market and attract my customers. Then after that I decided to create a design where it attracted both genders of black ethnicity but the feedback was also negative. After getting these feedback I had to do more research and come up with more designs. I am a type of person who loves Chinese and Japanese writing and I just like the way it looked on clothes. So due to that I decided to incorporate that in my logo, but I didn’t just want any random word. I wanted a word that meant something, so due to that I came up with the idea to use “Dream” because in my dreams I always used to dream about having a business. So that’s the inspiration about the design.

Why do you think it’s important to express yourself with your design?

I’ve grown up in a society where people don’t want to hear what others have to say unless it’s benefiting them. But through my logo, no words have to be said. There is a dominant message that can be adjusted to you personally.

How long have you been a designer?

I’ve been a designer for like a year now. I have a book where I draw ideas that come into my head but I never really did anything with them until August (2015). The month when I launched my clothing line

Politics / Killing Innocent Nigerians, Nigerian Military’s New Focus by Chizgold: 4:05am On Jan 25, 2017
It has been a bad month for the Nigerian military. Well, bad if one assumes that the killing of innocent citizens would cause men of the Nigerian military to lose sleep, and perhaps face punishment.

First, there was that ill-fated bombing of an IDP camp in Rann, which left close to 100 persons dead, and about two hundred injured. We were told that the bombing was a mistake, as men of the Nigerian Air force had received intelligence that the location of the IDP camp was housing terrorists. Many analysts have raised question over this “mistake”. One, if terrorists were at a tiny section of a community, is airstrike the best tactical option to employ? Wouldn’t a foot assault been better, to avoid serious collateral damage? Another question is, even if there was such an “intelligence” report, wouldn’t a reconnaissance trip have shown that the place is an IDP camp? If it was truly a mistake, then it was a very costly and stupid one to make.

Secondly, while the military was busy selling the narrative that the Rann bombing was a mistake, facts emerged that in fact, the Rann bombing was not the first time members of the Nigerian military had “mistakenly” killed IDPs. It was revealed that earlier, about 30 Internally Displaced Persons from the Gamboru Ngala camp were killed by a group of soldiers who opened fire on them while they were fetching firewood (firewood that they had been asked to go and fetch by another group of soldiers). The story is that the soldiers who killed the IDPs mistook them for terrorists! One would have thought that you do not just set upon a people, and immediately open fire on them, except if they had displayed hostility. Again, the excuse tendered failed to hold water.

It is difficult to understand why these trained military personnel keep making such sloppy mistakes that have led to the death of about 125 IDPs. If these mistakes are to continue, who is to say how many IDPs would be killed by the people who should be protecting them?

And then on Friday, in Port Harcourt, unarmed men and women of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who were matching in solidarity with the new US President, Donald John Trump, were accosted by men of the Nigerian military, who opened fire on them, killing over 22 persons!

Now, if the killing of the IDPs was a mistake, the murder of the IPOB protesters cannot be explained away as a mistake as it has become almost a recurrent pattern for them to be shot at anytime they as much as gather together. No proper justification for this has been provided, and no realistic Nigerian expect that any will be provided.

It is important to point out that there were marches in the US against Trump during the same period as the IPOB solidarity march. Yet there was no report of the military opening fire on a group of unarmed civilians. That is the difference between a country where the lives of its citizens are valued, and one in which the...

Politics / EXCLUSIVE: Kalu Opens Up On Biafra, APC, PDP, Others by Chizgold: 3:52am On Jan 25, 2017
Orji Uzor Kalu, the former Abia State Governor has on Sunday night reacted to the killing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) protesters, allegedly carried out by the Nigerian military in Port Harcourt, Rivers States on Friday, among other issues.

The peaceful march organised by members of the IPOB, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in honour of the new President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, turned violent as soldiers opened fire on the peaceful protesters.

During the attack, about 20 people were shot and wounded, while about 30 others were forcefully seized by armed soldiers, who whisked them away to an undisclosed destination.

Women who were also part of the protest were not spared, as they were brutalised by the soldiers who also kicked, punched, and used the butt of their rifles to hit the protesters, just as they descended on journalists, who attempted to take photos during the attack.

Speaking exclusively to Ikenga Chronicles, Kalu who said he knew nothing of the widely reported Igbo massacre said that he had never read about it.

‘’I don’t know if any pro-Trump protester was killed because I have never seen or read it on the national dailies. I can’t support innocent killings. But if it is true that any of the Ndi-Igbo were killed for staging a peaceful protest, May their souls rest in peace.’’

‘’ My prayer is that God should give us a country where there is rule of law, justice and equity.’’

On why he visited the embattled Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in Kuje prison, the former Governor said his visitation was by choice and based on the principle of the United Nations that urges people to visit prisoners.

‘’My visit to Nnamdi Kanu in Kuje prison was by choice and based on United Nations Principles . There is no political string attached. So Nigerians should not crucify me for visiting him. ‘’

When Ikenga Chronicles correspondent probed further to find out if he had by any means persuaded Nnamdi Kalu to drop the Biafra agitation, he fired back , ‘’ I will stop answering your questions, you ask questions as if you are a Biafran. I never discussed the issue of Biafra with him during my visit.”

Recall that on December 16, Kalu had paid a visit to Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Kalu, who shared photos from the visit on social media, said the Biafra leader does not belong in Kuje prison. He described Kanu as his “brother” and stated that his freedom was of “utmost concern” to him.

The former Abia Governor also debunked the insinuation that he defected to APC in a ploy to get soft landing on his ongoing corruption trial. Kalu, who is facing trial by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a N3.2b fraud, said he decided to join the ruling APC by choice.

“I was never forced to join the ruling APC. The narrative flying around that I defected to the party because of my case in court is pedestrian. The narratives don’t add up. ‘’

He further explained that his decision to join the APC gave him popularity in the South East because the Igbos appreciate the works and ideology of the party.

Taking a jibe on the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he said explained that the party was a misfit for the South East.

It should be noted that APC supporters are enthusiastic that the recent defection of former Uzor Kalu to the party will boost its fortunes not only in the state but across the South-East geo-political zone. However, the party’s critics and opponents had disagreed, alleging that the former governor’s political influence has waned so much that his entrance may not make significant difference both in his....

Romance / Female Ejac…you Know, & How To Do It! {adult} by Chizgold: 2:55am On Dec 31, 2016
In 2016, it’s okay to talk about Female Pleasure.
Female ejaculation is quite possibly the greatest undiscussed aspect of modern sexuality.

Sex is an amazing part of relationships—it truly is one of the most amazing aspects of life.

While women are built differently than men, our sensitive sexual tissues, like the center of gravity and clitoris, both become hard and engorged when we are excited and ready to orgasm.

Originally, doctors thought that female ejaculation was urine. Recently, however, they have discovered that—just like men can’t urinate when they’re aroused—neither can women.

It’s now suspected that the fluid released in a female ejaculation comes from the Skene’s glands which are located near the anterior wall of the vagina and around the lower end of the urethra [for more: see links below].

Just like male ejaculation, the amount of fluid released varies. It can range from a teaspoon to a tablespoon depending on the woman, where she is in her cycle, and the amount of sexual stimulation she’s just experienced.

Often when we are on the brink of orgasm, we clench our pelvic floor muscles and retract—however, if we push instead and let our bodies flow with the climax many of us may ejaculate.

Unlike men, women don’t need to ejaculate in order to fully climax—however, ejaculation can lead to an incredibly powerful orgasm that leaves our vagina pulsating in aftershocks.

Not every sexual encounter is the same, and sometimes we don’t know what we are fully capable of sexually until we have found someone who is a sexual match. Many of us need to feel more than just desired to fully relax and let go into the powerful current that can lead to orgasm.

Female ejaculation is not something that will likely happen during a one night stand.

Instead, women need pre-intimacy to begin well before our bodies are even touched. A big part of this is feeling accepted by our lovers on every level. Unfortunately many women feel insecure about the physicality and realness of their bodies—however no one ever said sex was supposed to neat and clean.

In order to mentally get to a place where we are accepting of the female ejaculation we need to also accept that our bodies are real, dirty—and sometimes messy.

The more honest we can be about the reality of our bodies, then the more we will enjoy sex. It’s about the act of intimate pre-intimacy that begins long before clothes fall to the wayside that lets two people fully be present in the act of sex and pleasing one another.

Some women ejaculate easily, and aren’t even aware that they are doing it.

Other women may find it incredibly hard or even impossible. However, with the right emotionally and sexually satisfying partner—it is possible, with a little practice.

Inside the anterior wall of the vagina lies the infamous center of gravity. The center of gravity, also called the Gräfenberg spot (for German gynecologist Ernst Gräfenberg), is characterized as an erogenous area of the vagina that, when stimulated, may lead to strong sexual arousal, powerful orgasms and female ejaculation. It is typically reported to be located two to three inches up the front (anterior) vaginal wall between the vaginal opening and the urethra.

The key to achieving ejaculation is through stimulation of the center of gravity.

To attempt this through regular intercourse it is best to find a position (such as man-from-behind or woman-on-top) that offers the right stimulation, friction and deep penetration. Your partner will need to build up pressure on the center of gravity as he thrusts, while either of you stimulate your clitoris at the same time. As you approach and reach orgasm, push out hard with your pelvic-floor muscles rather than squeezing in, as most women naturally......

Romance / Pre-marriage Bucket List—25 Things To Do Before You Say “I Do.” by Chizgold: 1:51am On Dec 31, 2016
Instead of spending our youth searching for love—we should spend it searching for ourselves.

Marriage is the joining of two people, two lives—and two hearts. But before we say “I do” to another—we first have to say it to ourselves.

We owe it to ourselves—and to the person we will marry—to experience as much of life as we can, so that when we do promise forever, we will actually know enough about life to know what that means.
So before saying I do—say why not?

1. Fall in love with yourself.

We can’t expect anyone else to fall in love with us, if we first haven’t done it ourselves.

2. Date someone who is all wrong for you.

We often don’t know what we really want until we have experienced everything that we don’t—allow yourself the opportunity to date someone who you would never marry.

3. Stay single for at least a year.

It’s easy to get trapped into a cycle of relationship after relationship, but until we have taken a year off and spent some good, quality time alone we run the risk of repeating our past mistakes.

4. Let your heart get broken.

No one wants to have their heart broken, but when we do, it allows us the opportunity to take more careful care of our loved one’s heart.

5. Dump someone.

We need to be able to end things with someone, not just so that we learn how to say no to others—but so we learn how to say yes to ourselves.

6. Go for a road trip by yourself.

Decide how you want to spend a day, then grab your keys and take off. See where the wind takes you—let yourself have an adventure for one.

7. Find a great circle of friends.

Romance / My Marriage Had To End—for My Life To Begin by Chizgold: 10:43pm On Dec 30, 2016
I never wanted to be divorced, but now I see that it was the only way for my life to truly begin.

There was a time when I would have rather been unhappy and unfulfilled than divorced, because it seemed that there was (and perhaps still is) a stigma attached to this sometimes necessary part of life.

I never wanted to be a divorcée—or worse a single parent.

So I dragged my heels as my marriage petered out to an end that was inevitable, taking so long because I was afraid of the next step in my life and my ultimate fear of: what if I’m alone forever?

I had built so much of my personal identity upon being coupled with another that I never had the chance to learn who I really am, so at the time my biggest concern was finding someone else to help me distinguish who I was.

Thankfully though, it was a concern of mine, and I was extremely selective in who I let into my inner circle, so I ultimately I’ve remained single since first separating from my husband—and though it wasn’t always easy, I now know that it was completely necessary.

If my marriage hadn’t ended then, I would have continued to be blocked mentally, emotionally, creatively and spiritually.

I would have grown as mossy as a pond in summer, green with stagnant waters that never move.

But it wasn’t the path that I was meant to walk, and though there were times when I found myself on my knees crying so hard I became breathless, it was all part of a greater plan.

During the first year after my divorce, I was in recovery mode—meaning that at times, it was a daily struggle to simply survive, even if I was smiling and laughing on the.......

Romance / When The One We Love Isn’t Quite Ready For Us by Chizgold: 4:40am On Dec 30, 2016
It can be soul-crushing when you love someone who doesn’t show love in the same way back—when they choose not to be with you.

People may say we’re crazy for holding on, but they don’t understand. We’re not actually holding on, it is love that is holding on to us.

It doesn’t matter how many times we try to rationalize our feelings. Those constant mind ramblings won’t count for anything.

It is not the mind that has chosen.

The mind wants to escape. It’s tired of our aching, relentlessly-tugging heart, and it frantically tries to pull us away—often to no avail.

In an ideal world, the one we love also loves, wants, needs and chooses us in the same way.

But here’s the thing not everyone seems to understand:

Someone can love us with their entire heart and still not be ready to meet us in love.

And just because they aren’t ready doesn’t mean they don’t still desire to love and be loved.

There are some people out there who are so afraid to be loved, they just cannot seem to open up the door, however badly they want to.

When love is near, they instinctively recoil and back away. It’s a primal fear, a basic survival instinct. They are scared to expose themselves and become vulnerable, and they also feel the threat of being left broken if the one they love leaves.

Soul resonation can be complicated and messy, because when someone feels like home, we are drawn to return, but we sometimes find that we don’t belong there.

People may say there are other souls out there who will feel like home, but that is one of the greatest lies ever told about love. Because we don’t consciously choose who to love.

Sometimes—whether a blessing or a curse—there is just one person…

Romance / Women: When Your Man Loses His Erection, Never Do This by Chizgold: 4:01am On Dec 30, 2016
Women often wonder WTF is going on with their guy when he loses his erection and what to do about it.

Understandable, because it can cause a lot of pain for both parties. I lost my erection plenty of times. But, like a typical guy, I pretended like it wasn’t a problem, like I wasn’t affected by it. I spoke about it to no one. It didn’t become a real issue until I was with one woman for a long period of time. The women I dated never said anything. (Curious, right?) That is, until a smart woman came along. A woman is in a tricky place with this issue, because she knows he feels shame about it and doesn’t want to rub salt in that wound, yet she also wants to get her needs met. Hmmm. What to do? First, you need to know WTF is actually going on. After years of busting my balls working on this issue, I figured out the root cause of erectile dysfunction. What is it?
The root cause of a man losing his erection is this:

When we men try to “read” a woman’s sexual needs (in a neurotic way). Then we subordinate to a fantasy of what we thinks our woman wants, we will pop into our upper head and leave our heart connection with our woman and try to “perform” love-making, instead of being ourselves.

In other words, we try to be someone we’re not. Knowing this is super helpful for a woman. Why? Because a lot of women take it personally and then care-take their man, then resent him. So, here are two things not to do when a man loses his erection:

1. Take it personally.

2. Hold back who you are.

Let’s unpack these briefly… Taking it personally It’s not personal

Religion / Rethinking African Christianity by Chizgold: 3:12pm On Dec 29, 2016
This is what happens when you abandon your culture and religion for the white man’s way of life. Mouth-to-mouth kissing is not an African thing. I’m sure many will think this young bride does not love her groom.

Truth is that true African women are not genetically programmed for public display of affection. Like the queens they are, they have dignity. Does anybody have a picture or video of Queen Elizabeth publicly kissing Prince Philip?

In traditional African marriage, there is no such thing as kiss your bride. The closest thing to that, at least in Igbo culture, is when the bride is given a cup of palm wine, asked to take a sip of it, and then go give the same cup to her groom, who would gulp the rest of the cup.

Now, there is a very powerful symbolic ritual that accompanies that simple act. The groom is not with the bride at the time she receives the cup of palm wine from her father or other elderly male representative from her family. As a matter of fact, it is presumed that the groom and the bride have not met, at least that day. The bride receives the cup, sips from it, and must now go locate her groom, who is somewhere in the crowd. The act of searching through the crowd, rejecting overtures from eligible bachelors as she does that, is a reaffirmation of her commitment and love for her chosen man. And when she finds him in the crowd, they unite – and for good. That is culture.

At that point, there is a permission to proceed from the bride. For those who make the inane and uninformed argument that African brides are given away without their consent, this ritual is the clearest manifestation of consent. Brides have been known to register their protest and non-consent by either gulping empty the cup, pouring away the palm wine, or handing the cup to another man, perhaps their preferred lover.

When a bride gives that go-ahead, the party starts. There’s dancing, eating, drinking, and the whole shebang of merrymaking. The final act of marriage is the symbolic tendering of bride price. It is symbolic because it is designed to acknowledge the cost and effort of the in-law family in raising a marriageable bride. Contrary to the argument that it signifies a sale of the bride to her groom, who could now treat her like an acquired chattel, the bride price is merely symbolic. I like reminding my western friends who peddle that sale theory that spousal abuse and domestic violence occur daily in western homes where bride price (sale) is not part of marriage contract.

That’s African traditional marriage right there! It is a beautiful process. Couple so married are free to begin a family. But here comes white man’s Christianity. In addition to the already concluded African traditional marriage, the couple must now begin the elaborate and expensive process of a white wedding (so appropriately called).

White wedding is one clear evidence of identity crisis for African Christianity. Public kissing is un-African. As far as African culture is concerned, mouth-to-mouth kissing is sexual. And like everything sexual, it should not be publicly done; and of all places, the church! Some will argue that mouth-to-mouth kissing is not sexual, and that I’m engaged in extreme sensationalism. Well, my simple answer is: if mouth-to-mouth kissing is not sexual, why is it that blood relatives don’t engage in it?

And just when you thought that white wedding couldn’t get any more bizarre, there is this....

Health / How To Love Her Through A Miscarriage by Chizgold: 6:04am On Dec 27, 2016
It was a Saturday morning.

A little rainy if I remember right. I was out most of the night for the first of a three day training seminar. I awoke to the familiar sight of my wife’s head on her pillow, but instead of her usual peaceful repose, I was met with the telltale signs of pain. It was enough to jolt me into a full-bodied alertness I would later identify as a newly burgeoning instinct buried deep in my guts.

Cramps.

“They hurt pretty bad,” she said as I immediately started browsing all known cramp solutions. This is an old masculine cliche. It’s like my man brain has a trigger that takes over anytime my wife feels distress. It screams, “Fix! Take action! Do!” and effectively drowns out my heart’s gentle entreaties to be still.
Just be.

I doubt I’ll ever be rid of that. I hope as I get older, my man brain and my heart talk to each other more. On this morning, however, there was no conversation. There was only that old man brain cliche—demanding to fix pain that started as a steady rumble and sharpened into a stubborn stab that could no longer be placated by Advil.

Rewind about six weeks to a different Saturday morning. Once again, I’m jolted out of sleep, but this time, I was met with a bright smile and a positive pregnancy test. This face. This arresting joy is a memory I want to capture and bottle. If I could, I’d sell it or give it away. I’m pretty sure we would stop fighting wars or electing Trumps if I could just figure out how to share this face with the world.
Back to reality.

That joy has been replaced by a mourning we both know we’re about to endure. A mourning for which neither of our hearts are….

Politics / Sambisa Has Been Captured:they Have Come Again O! by Chizgold: 9:07am On Dec 26, 2016
As the saying goes, even what appears as good news, are worth very little unless we hold them in the broad, intelligent, and spacious way of reasoning them through.

This time they say, the military has taken over Sambisa forest, abi? And no Chibok girl found and Boko Haram is dead. Laughable.

Shall we do a little reasoning through here then?

So it is good Samaritans alias Alanu ara Zaria that are keeping the 200 girls remaining niyen ooo!The entire Nigerian concept is a joke!
At times I wonder what we carry around in place of brains and reasoning.
We were told that one girl strolled away from Boko Haram Camp in “Sambisa”, and thereafter, her Boko Haram husband mysteriously also surfaced along with her. So, I ask, what have we learn? What have we learnt about where the others are? How she was able to stroll away, and even the supposed Boko Haram hubby too!

And the “Released” ones, in which all those the government claimed participated in their releases–from the Red Cross to the Swiss government and the military– debunked and denied their participation and supposed role!

So I ask again, what did we ask and what did we learn about where they all were kept? Who is keeping them, and where were the others at the time those “released”, were brought out for us all to see?

Sambisa is liberated.Where’s Shekau? Was there a deciding war that totally annihilated the terrorists? Was it that the terrorists withdrew before even the said “liberation” took place?

These are critical questions, and chief of which is; you cannot claim only to have liberated Sambisa forest, as a final end to Boko Haram without giving us the important updates on the whereabouts of the...

Politics / Is President Buhari A Coward? by Chizgold: 8:51am On Dec 26, 2016
Yes, he was a General in the Nigerian Army. It may also be true that he was part of the Nigerian soldiers that fought during the Civil war. But what there is no record of, is an account of his bravery at any point in time. Was he just a fill-the-ranks soldier, whom benefactors helped propel to the top? Those are just questions that may not have answers. But it is good to just let them roll through our minds.

One question that has however refused to go away is; “Is President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria a coward?” It is a big ask, but three incidences seem to offer an answer to this question.

1.Ogoni Clean-Up And The Threat Of The Niger Delta Avengers: The much touted Ogoni Clean-up was supposed to be a key statement of the determination of Buhari’s government to address a lot of issues that Nigerians have been clamouring for. As an environmental issue with huge international significance, its flag off was expected to be a key achievement of the administration, and the President himself was pencilled down as the man to carry out the flag off.

Then the dreaded Niger Delta Avengers issued their threat that if the President dared set foot on Niger Delta soil, he would be killed. A few hours to the time he was supposed to land at the Port Harcourt International Airport, the news came that the President would not be coming! Was he scared of the Avengers?

2.South East Economic Summit, And The Indigenous People Of Biafra Threat: President Buhari’s administration inherited an economy largely dependent on oil. With dwindling oil prices and the activities of Niger Delta militants affecting revenue from oil, the government decided that diversifying the economy was the best step to take. A key ally in developing an economy that is strong in manufacturing, is the much maligned South East of Nigeria. So the economic summit convened by the people of the region was expected to help in revitalising a wobbling economy. The President was pencilled down as the Chief Guest of Honour, and he expressed his desire to come.

A few days to the Summit, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a statement warning him that if he comes to the region, he and other conniving South East leaders will be killed.

Even as the Summit began, the conveners were still waiting for Mr. President, but he was a no show. Scared much?

3.Inability to Deal With Corrupt Members of His Administration: It is no longer news that key members of the Buhari administration such as Abba Kyari (his Chief of Staff); David Babachir Lawal (Secretary to the Government of the Federation); Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi(Minister of Transportation) have all been fingered in huge corruption deals. Yet a president who hinged his administration on anti-corruption has not summoned the courage to deal with the corrupt members of his own inner house!

Abba Kyari, Babchir Lawal, and Rotimi Amaechi are very powerful people. Is Mr. President so scared of them that he cannot....

After reading this list, you will be less likely to head for the pill cabinet and more likely to reach out to the person next to you in bed to alleviate an array of ailments such as aches, pains, illness and stress. The feeling of an orgasm is one of the greatest sensations our bodies can experience.

Politics / My Takeaway From Obaseki’s ‘budget Of ‘consolidation And Prosperity’ by Chizgold: 4:48pm On Dec 24, 2016
Presentation of the Edo State Budget 2017 took place, a few days ago at the Edo State House of Assembly where all gathered to hear firsthand what Governor Obaseki has in stock for Edo people.

The Presentation which was live streamed on social media and publicised in mainstream media lived up to the expectations. A key objective of the Budget is to consolidate on the program and policies of former Governor, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole’s administration, which Obaseki was part and parcel of.

The 2017 Budget of Consolidation and prosperity is a win-win partnership between the people and government. A fundamental objective is to boost economic growth and development in the State, which were the main thrust of Governor Obaseki’s vision in taking Edo further to the next level.

In pursuance of this vision, Governor Obaseki understudied the critical challenges facing Edo’s economy, it’s potentials and how best to leverage the state’s resources to achieve the right balance in infrastructure and human capacity development.

The governor placed emphasis on agriculture and agribusiness value chain, entrepreneurship, investments in industries and technical & vocational skills.

The Budget speech highlighted the strengthening of institutions such as the civil service, judiciary and the rule of law, with focus on environmental sustainability and revamping culture and tourism. These are audacious reforms if carried out holistically would birth a new Edo where economic prudence and social transformation will become the order of the day.

Another notable point from the 2017 Budget presentation is the Provisional data on the implementation of the 2016 budget which shows that as at November ending, the performance of the budget stood at 76% and that the budget performance for 2016 anticipated to reach 80%.

Governor Obaseki took bold steps, announcing the policy bedrock of the 2017 budget to rest on Economic Revolution, Infrastructural Expansion, Institutional Reform, Social Welfare Enhancement, Culture & Tourism and Environmental Sustainability. According to him, “these are the pillars which – if pursued with uncommon focus, will help us build a new society, create new jobs, new opportunities and wealth – and usher in a new era of prosperity for all.”

In the Budget speech, Governor Obaseki clearly demonstrated that he had a firm grasp of the past, the present and the future. It is only a man with a clear vision that can correlate the exigencies of the present day with clear pathways of solutions that will undoubtedly turn Edo’s economic fortunes around.

Governor Obaseki also proved to the Edo people that Continuity government was the best choice they made when he listed that Edo State Government’s priorities in 2017 includes a continuation of ongoing Infrastructural projects from 2016 plans. This singular statement will surely lead to greater development and a better Edo because there is unlikely to be any abandoned projects where continuation of existing ones have been made government priority. In this regard, Edo will continue to witness progress and development seamlessly.

It will be recalled that since assuming office, Governor Obaseki has X-Rayed the length and breadth of strategic areas like Edo Technical College, Edo Secretariat-Palm House, Tayo Apata University, the Lady Mechanic Initiative, Nigerian Union of Teachers among others. These strategic focus on the part of the ‘Technocrat Governor’ may have informed his inaugural Budget as institutional reforming reforms was given adequate attention and much more to achieve optimal service delivery for the people.

In analysing Governor Obaseki’s 2017 Budget, an unprecedented six key policy areas were carefully chosen to refocus the direction of Edo in the next four years. These policy areas are Economic Revolution, Infrastructure Development, Environmental Sustainability, Social Welfare Enhancement, Security, Law and Order and Culture &Tourism. These unprecedented steps underscores a government that is ready to take the bull by the horn. It was very wise to propose a budget size of N150,011,831,079 Billion whilst maintaining a balance of capital to recurrent expenditure of (50%: 50%) in line with government plan to spend their....

Politics / JAMES IBORI: A Broom For Sale by Chizgold: 4:35pm On Dec 24, 2016
I’m not sure I understand this whole outrage over James Ibori’s release from London prison. Yes, Ibori is a despicable thief who should rot in hell. But why is his case different? At least he has done some prison time. What about his criminal peers and cohorts who have never been made to see the walls of a police cell? Why should discarding your umbrella and grabbing a broom to sweep in the rain of corruption translate to moral amnesty? C’mon, countrymen!

And hasn’t Ibori been gone from Nigeria since May 13 of 2010 when he was arrested in Dubai and later extradited to the United Kingdom to face money laundering and allied charges? Would he not later be convicted and imprisoned in the UK? Now, in May of 2010 when James Ibori was last in Nigeria, the naira was exchanging at a ratio of N165 to $1. Today, over six years since Ibori has been gone, the naira is exchanging for N490 to $1. What am I missing here?

This selective outrage is problematic for me. Look, nobody sweeps in the rain; therefore, nobody needs an umbrella and a broom at the same time. As much as the umbrella and the broom may be functionally mutually exclusive; proprietarily, they are not. The wielding of the broom should not be interpreted as being dry and clean as a whistle. The holder of the broom is still dripping wet with the stink of a derecho storm. While the rain falls, and the roads are too bad even for EFCC and law enforcement to go make an arrest, the umbrella shields the villain from the elements. As soon as the skies clear, and the messy debris from the derecho calls public attention to a messy mansion, the occupant reaches for the broom. Don’t be deceived, my friends. There is no umbrella that is separate from the broom. What we have is an umbrooma.

Tossing the umbrella and grabbing the broom is pure theater, enacted for the feeble and gullible minds. It would have been entertainment if the end were less tragic in collateral damages. I’m sure James Ibori learned to grab the broom and sweep his prison cell in London. When he grabs the broom to sweep his sprawling mansions in Nigeria, or visit Nnamdi Kanu in prison, he will have completed his moral transmogrification from the umbrella to the broom. He will have done his penance, and admonished to go, and to sin no more. And his pastor will proclaim him redeemed under the authority of 2 Corinthians 5:17, “…he is a new...

Romance / Sex Is My Religion by Chizgold: 1:16am On Dec 24, 2016
In order to kiss the hand of God, I simply prefer to be on my knees, worshiping at the altar of an awakened man whose hands are tangled within my soft long hair.

I am not talking about parading men through my bedroom door more rapidly than the local drive thru—but I am talking about the kind of worship that will let me rip open a man’s soul and leave him shaking.

While I am spiritual and do pray to the divine powers that be—sex is my religion.

It’s the doctrine of physically connecting with someone that I would rather spend my time learning about, rather than reading through dusty pages written by someone who wanted other people to think in a way they think is best.

Because reading a man’s skin with my lips and tongue—travelling over his tempting valleys and along his succulent plains—is the only pilgrimage that I want to spend time on.

When we truly get down to it, connecting sexually with someone can be the highest form of spiritual energy that we can create. Sex as a religion transcends even soul f*cking, because in that state, it’s not just about the physical connectedness, but it’s also about the emotional, mental and energetic connections as well.

This isn’t about getting off—it’s about “getting on” and experiencing every level of awareness that is possible to explore with another person.

We desire to connect in a physical and intimate way—our bodies were designed not just for reproduction, but for pleasure.

It’s through that desire, and the merging vitality of the chakra points with another, that we can raise our own level of consciousness by expanding our energy fields and enhancing our spiritual growth to the next level.

With the right partner, sex doesn’t just begin or end in penetration, but it provides a…

She desires to see your eyes spark, and deepen as you try to take in every inch of her.

She wants to be touched by the fire that burns there—because she is the only one to ignite your passion in that way.

She wants her mind to be the first thing that you crave to touch—wishing to make a home there in attempt to figure out her secrets.

Travel / WARNING: River Niger Bridge In Danger Of Collapse This Christmas Season by Chizgold: 8:20am On Dec 21, 2016
Commuters who will be passing through the ever busy River Niger bridge this festive season will be doing so at great risk. Information reaching Ikenga Chronicles is that constant and severe vibrations have begun to rock the bridge especially when there are many vehicles on it.

According to a witness, who experienced yesterday’s incident,

“I wish to call the attention of the Federal Government, FERMA on the current state of the Niger bridge. As at 6:05pm today [December,20,2016], while I was held up in traffic on the Niger bridge. I noticed severe vibration from the bridge. I have traveled through that bridge for years but haven’t observed a vibration of this magnitude”

Meanwhile, people of the South-East have at various times called on the Buhari-led Federal Government to urgently do something as it concerns the completion of the second Niger Bridge, in order to forestall the tragedy that is lying in waiting at the current Niger bridge. So far, all such cries have fallen on deaf ears as the second Niger Bridge has remained at the same level that the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan left it.

Many see the abandonement of the bridge as President Buhari’s payback to the region for not voting for him during the 2015 Presidential elections.

In the mean time,it is yet to be seen if the Federal Government will wait until the tragedy lying in waiting happens before it does something. A concerned citizen has warned that with the increase in severe vibrations on the bridge, the bridge is a death-trap this...

Romance / Make Him Roar: 10 Things That Turn Men On by Chizgold: 7:42am On Dec 21, 2016
Some of mens’ deepest needs in their relationships are for approval, respect, to know that they are appreciated and that ultimately, to know they are our superheroes.

When a man’s needs are met, they are automatically inspired to try harder, become better partners and aim for higher levels of success, not only within their intimate relationships, but in all other areas of life too.

To understand and achieve this, we must accept that men and women are a little different.

Women can be slightly more emotional and sway more to desire love and affection and although men need these things too, they also place high value on being shown appreciation, being validated and respected. That is when they are at their best.

This is not a list of rules, nor is it to be expected that all men will feel the same way as one another. It is just an outline and guide to understand some of the things that men generally value highly within their relationships.

Protection—However strong and independent females are, guys still have the innate desire to want to protect us. Usually the protection comes from the simplest everyday things. Allow them, because we protect them from a lot of things too—just in different ways.

Whether it’s shielding us from the rain with their coats, getting up in the night to investigate strange noises or giving that creepy guy a look that tells them to quit staring, there are countless ways they can make us feel safe. When he is in protection mode, he will feel like a super hero. He is at his most masculine, and endorphins will release to make him feel good. He and he alone wants to feel like he can fully protect—that for a man is extremely potent.

Romance / Make Me Roar: 10 Things That Turn Women On. by Chizgold: 7:07am On Dec 21, 2016
Love: How to be together and still be independent.

Women can seem complicated compared to the opposite sex, however, we’re really quite simple creatures, turned on by the simplest pleasures.

There are a few easy ways to make us roar deep on the inside and most of them aren’t even sexual.

Here are some of my favourites.

To be trusted—We want someone to have faith in us, to trust our judgement, our loyalty and our actions. Let us know that you can open up to us, be vulnerable and let us see exactly who you are. Put your trust in us and know that we are capable of as much as you, just sometimes in different ways. Don’t suffocate and try to hold on to our wings.
A hot drink to wake up to—Regular or herbal tea, a coffee or whatever fires us up, waking up to a hot drink by our side can be the perfect way to rise on dark and chilly mornings.
Sweets—Chocolate, jellies or old-school favourites. Come home with pockets filled with delights and you will be sure to earn guaranteed brownie points.
Saying sorry and meaning it—A quality to be treasured and a certain heart melter. We all love to receive genuine heartfelt apologies when something has gone wrong. It repairs bridges, closes wounds and shouts out that the person who is offering it is conscious, authentically and willing to face up to their flaws and take the steps necessary to make amends. The sooner it is received, the better.
The perfect bubble bath—Not just a regular bath; one exploding with bubbles, candles around the edges, warm fluffy towels ready, a glass of something delicious on the side and maybe even company. Those are the baths that really…

Romance / All I Want For Christmas Is You by Chizgold: 6:58am On Dec 21, 2016
Baby, this year there is only one item on my Christmas list—you.

I don’t want you wrapped neatly underneath my tree Christmas morning, but wildly undressed—tangled and breathless in soft sheets as we press our fingertips into the most delicious parts of each other’s flesh.

I don’t want you framed in a nice and tidy package that I can make sense of and show off, but rather real and chaotic, passionate and free.

Because men like you should never be placed within a box or made to fit neatly into anyone else’s ideal of a life well lived.

I don’t want sparkling jewels that can be placed around my neck, but rather your supple lips, and the tender trail your tongue leaves, as it makes its way from my neck, across my collarbone and down to my nipples waiting in trembling anticipation for you to take them into your mouth.

The greatest holiday gift I’m hoping for is the opportunity to make a few more enthralling memories with you—no one but us will ever know.

I don’t need silken cashmere draped against my soft skin, because my favorite accessory will always be you and the weight of your strong body against mine.

This Christmas I am asking for the fiery passion in your eyes and the desire that ripples across your confident shoulders, leaving your knees weak every time our eyes meet.

I am not only asking for the flames but for the precious ignitor as well.

I don’t care for rare perfumes, traded across distant seas that will scent and stain my neck, because the fragrance that you leave on my skin and in the tendrils of my hair is always the most seducing of all.

The truth is, I have everything that I need and want—except….

On December 19, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced $227.3 million in additional developmental assistance to support the five-year $2.3 billion agreement signed with the Nigerian Government in 2015. This brings the total provided under the agreement to $702 million.

The new funding will continue to help Nigeria reduce extreme poverty by stimulating inclusive economic growth, promoting a healthier, more-educated population, and strengthening good governance.

“Today we are pleased to announce new funding under the agreement signed with the Nigerian Government in 2015 to provide better access to education and health services and promote democracy and economic growth” said U.S. Ambassador W. Stuart Symington. “With the Nigerian Government’s leadership, we know this funding will significantly improve the wellbeing of Nigerians,” he added.

Health / The Right To Shame: How The Abortion Debate Is Killing Women. by Chizgold: 4:37am On Dec 20, 2016
Shame is something that seems uniquely adopted by women—much more so than our male counterparts.

We women are taught to apologize for everything. There are numerous blogs out there illustrating how women say “I’m sorry” for things, like being bumped into by another oblivious person who wasn’t watching where they were going.

This notion of permanent culpability has infiltrated the arena of reproductive health. Many articles and blogs that are in support of pro-choice initiatives often use the most harrowing stories to convince the reader of its viewpoint. We usually read stories of women who were pregnant and then found out devastating news that their baby would not survive much beyond birth and suffers from some debilitating abnormality.

It is so easy to feel compassion for women in this situation. But what about women who have abortions for other reasons—can we extend the same compassion to them?

Why are we not defending a woman’s right to choose period: without having to back it up with a devastating story?

A common argument when defending Planned Parenthood is to cite the fact that only three percent of their services are abortion-related. We try to minimize the fact that Planned Parenthood does perform abortion services (and thank God for that) in order to defend the other services it provides and make it seem like less of a “bad guy.”

Oftentimes, when women have an abortion they tell next to no one about it. The fear of shame and the guilt dumped on us by society is just too much to bear. The abortion becomes our little secret that we will take to the grave.

When a woman has an abortion it is common for her to feel utterly, desperately alone. It is likely that she doesn’t know anyone else who has….

Romance / Dating As A Single Mom. by Chizgold: 4:16am On Dec 20, 2016
There are things that a single mom needs in this world. Things like…

(a) a husband,
(b) a father figure for her children,
(c) another income earner (sometimes a sole income earner),
(d) a babysitter or
(e) all of the above.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

We can pay our own damn bills, thank you very much!

There are several obstacles to dating as a single mom, obstacles like finding child care, being able to afford child care and dating while keeping said children in child care the number one priority.

Sadly, another obstacle that single moms face is the assumption that we’re looking for any or all of the above.

I cannot count the number of times a dating interest has made a comment to clarify his income, ability to support me or his ability to interact well with my children. I’ve even had a few casually toss out that they wouldn’t mind step-parenting. Several have even gone so far as to ask me to clarify my income situation.

Perhaps all of these statements simply result from the awkwardness of dating a single parent. I don’t know. I’ve never been a single parent before. I do know, however, that those who ask for specifics on my income get shown the door. Additionally, most single moms are not out there in the dating world looking for any of the aforementioned list.

Those of us who aren’t looking wouldn’t necessarily object to finding someone who we may fall in love with and want to marry. There’s not even an objection to finding an eventual father-figure. But that’s not our primary mission in life. And it’s insulting that, so often, it seems like there’s a picture being painted that we are, in fact, looking for these things and these things alone.

As a matter of fact,…

Romance / 6 Reasons We Find Bad Boys So Irresistible. by Chizgold: 3:16am On Dec 20, 2016
“Loving you is like holding the sun and hoping I don’t get burned.” ~ Unknown

We’ve all dated the “bad boy”—you haven’t truly lived until you’ve bedded one of those.

They’re hot, they’re sexy, they’re totally unpredictable—and they make you so crazy, you swear you’ll never get sucked in again.

But you do—they’re just that friggin’ irresistible.

Even the best of us will go a second round with Mr. Bad Boy—why do we do it? We all claim we want the “nice guy”? The guy who puts us first, calls when he says he will, shows up on time and says what he means and means what he says.

Yet, we turn our backs on the “nice guy,” in favor of the “bad boy,” who makes our heart race and break at the same time.

There are alot of reasons we do it, and some of them are biological. “Bad boys are a potent mix of confidence, indifference, mystery and excitement,” Dr Kanan Khatau Chikhal, a clinical and health psychologist says—and this resonates with a lot of woman.

I tend to think there are alot of reasons sane, single women everywhere pursue the bad boy. It’s all just one big rush. When you get involved with a bad boy, the whole thing tends to be incredibly spicy and invigorating—so much so, that it feels like a wild ride you can’t get off.

It doesn’t matter how you slice.....
