Business › Re: US Bank Stops Western Union Transfers To Nigeria In Aftermath Of 80 Fraud Burst? by Choski78(m): 11:41am On Aug 24, 2019 |
Avedonn: I think it's high time Federal Government allow Igbos secede from the federation. They contribute nothing if not crime and hatred.
In federal Union, each region is expected to contribute something meaningful such as natural resource or raw materials but igbos contribute nothing to the federation and yet they'd not allow other Nigerians to rest.
At least each region brings something to the federation table except igbos.
North - Crop production and livestock
South West - Timber, crude oil and shipping ports
South South - Crude oil and shipping ports.
South East - Crime, hard drugs, prostitution, scam, fake products such as medicine etc. And now they've come up with a new system of committing crime and pin it on Fulani herdsmen.
Yes, the North engage in terrorism but it mostly affects them and it's internal which most countries are battling with. It has not stopped foreign firms from transacting business with Nigeria. It's a global issue.
Yes, South West engage in fetish monetary ritual but it starts and ends with them. They don't go into other regions to carry out their fetish act. And hasn't stopped foreign firms from transacting business with Nigeria.
But Igbos combined all the negatives other unit of the federation are known for ( kidnapping and armed robbery, money ritual etc). Even the trending internet fraud (Yahoo Yahoo) 80% of them are igbos.
Well, I don't really blame the US bank for not transacting with Nigeria because even me as a Nigerian I always think twice before I engage into any business with igbos and with caution as well. . R Piece of shit. |

Tundemanias: As Kaduna State High Court decides the fate of IMN leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky on his application for bail to travel abroad for treatment today, the Kaduna State Police have insisted on ban against demonstration in the state.
The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) leader had requested to travel to India with his wife, Zeenat Ibrahim for medical attention, with the case adjourned last week for ruling on Monday (today), but the police, yesterday warned against any form of demonstrations in Kaduna State, while urging residents to be vigilant of people around them.
According to the Police, “The Kaduna State Police Command wishes to notify the general public to exercise more security consciousness as they go about their lawful businesses by being extra vigilant of their environment, persons around them, and activities of suspicious persons, so as to prevent miscreants from disturbing the peace of the state,” the police public relations officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo said on a statement.
Members of the public should note that the ban on all forms of demonstrations in Kaduna State is still in force. The Police will not hesitate to deal decisively with any person or group of persons who deliberately attempt to violate the ban.
In view of the court trial of Malam Ibrahim El-Zakzaky on Monday, August 5, 2019, the peace-loving and law abiding people of Kaduna State are to note that adequate security has been put in place for a hitch-free court appearance.,

Politics › Re: Soyinka, Others Are Blackmailers, Revolution Won’t Be Tolerated – Presidency by Choski78(m): 8:42am On Aug 05, 2019 |
OddsIsland: The Presidency has replied notable Nigerians opposing the action taken by the DSS in arresting rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the February 2019 election, Mr. Omoyele Sowore
It mentioned the name of Soyinka in particular as one of the critics, saying that much as the administration had respect for him and others, they appeared to be engaging in double-speaking and blackmailing the government.
The Presidency, reacting through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, noted that the same Soyinka would criticise the government for not taking actions against lawlessness and turned around to attack it when it took actions.
“You mentioned the name of Prof Wole Soyinka. Some of these critics of government are people whom we have great respect and admiration for. When things are going wrong with the law and order in the country, they say the police are not doing their work. They raise their voices, asking that ‘the culprits to be booked and expeditiously punished in the most severe manner.’
“The police under a new leadership is now rising to the occasion, saying ‘we cannot take any more atrocities against the law in our country and they are saying don’t do anything.
“They are calling out President Buhari and comparing him to autocratic leaders. This is an unpardonable blackmail that cannot stop the police and other law enforcement agencies from doing their work,” the Presidency responded.
It added that the administration respected the right of Nigerians to carry out peaceful protests, but not a call to “violence.”
The Presidency added, “A Nigerian is by right empowered to call for a change of government using constitutional means; to protest peacefully against government policies and decisions. But to call for the violent overthrow of a democratically-elected government and President is worse, and is not acceptable under any law in Nigeria. Violence will ever be accepted again as a way to change governments in this country. Those days are gone.
“Nigeria has a well-crafted constitution and elaborate laws governing elections that guide an orderly succession in government. We have a judicial system that actively serves as a watchdog of the people’s rights.
“Yet, we are daily witnesses to obscene display of delight in the killing of our soldiers and policemen, an open contempt for the country’s laws and its people, accompanied by loud cheers from the so-called New Media. Is this the way to grow a country?”

There may be a leak in the family too big to patch. Is she still collecting the rent on the property? Is she being scammed? Throwing money at her may be feeding the sharks. At her age, giving her N1m for business will not make any difference. Logic is necessary in this situation instead of emotion.

Car Talk › Re: Is UNN The First Nigerian University To Produce An Electric Car? by Choski78(m): 5:15pm On Jul 09, 2019 |
AutoReportNG: Earlier today, AutoReportNG published some exclusive photos of the UNN's electric car. The car which was applauded by the Director-General of National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) was quoted saying, “The council is happy that UNN is the first to prepare a paper design and produced electrical car that has been unveiled and test-run today in the university.
“We urge other universities and higher institutions in the country to emulate innovation and technology spirit of UNN.”
While this is commendable and we salute the excellent spirits in these students that have toiled day and night to make this a reality, however, we felt the DG of NADDC may not be totally correct that UNN is the first institution to produce an electric car with the following reasons and pictures to back up our claims.
1. Convenant University Electric Car/Automobile
According to the newsletter of Covenant University Dated Oct 6th, 2014, it was reported that CU Invents Electric Automobiles. In a post giving a detailed explanation on how this was made, the university explained that two saloon cars (with and without Air-condition) and a tri-cycle were some of the research products developed and exhibited by the University as part of events marking the Chancellor, Dr. David Oyedepo’s 60th birthday recently.

The research work sponsored by the University was supervised by the leader of the team who is also the Head of Department of Chemical Engineering, Professor James Omoleye.
The greatest advantage the CU IDEA has over any other electric car developed is the use of both electric and fuel power systems, which increases its distance coverage by 350%. “That is, if other cars can cover a distance of 50 kilometres before the batteries require charging, CU IDEA is able to cover three and a half (200 kilometres) before it will require charging”, Professor Omoleye explained.
The beauty of this invention, according to him, is that the cars can run on both systems simultaneously which gave them the name Dual Engine. Another advantage of the products is that they are able to eliminate atmospheric emission, which is a concern all over the world.
The research work, according to Professor Omoleye, started in 2009, when Covenant University received a research grant from the David Oyedepo Foundation. “Within one year, the researchers were able to design and assemble the dual engine and replace the fuel combustion engine from imported cars. We did the same thing for saloon cars and a tri-cycle, we also introduced Air-condition and it was a success”, he explained.

The dual-engine, according to Professor Omoleye, is flexible. It can adapt easily to any renewable energy. “The dual engine is not limited to battery and fuel alone. It uses battery and fuel for now because petroleum is still our business in Nigeria. But we know very soon, there is going to be a breakthrough in other renewable energy sources.
“So, the dual engine we have designed has the ability to replace the fuel proportion section with the fuel cell. In that case, it would be battery and fuel cell. It is also flexible that, if tomorrow the Solar Energy becomes efficient; our system can also incorporate battery and Solar Engine to do the same thing. In fact, any renewable energy system that comes up will be good enough for our system”, he disclosed.
AutoReportNG learnt that these cars are used as a shuttle car at Covenant University. The issue why CU works are not online we learnt is because mobile phones are banned on campus, the students can't do much to showcase most of their innovations reason we have limited pictures on this.

2. University of Lagos

While some argue that Covenant Univerisity electric car is just a modification of a car and not built from the start, here are what the students of the University of Lagos did recently. According to the University of Lagos newsletter, a group of Mechanical Engineering students from the University of Lagos built an electric-powered car from scratch, using locally sourced materials.
The project, which began in 2014, was initiated by two engineering graduates (then undergrads), Olukoya Olusanya and Maduka Smart, who later enlisted the help of other mechanical engineering students. The result of the collaboration was a zero-emission electric-powered prototype vehicle called dubbed the DOVE P1.

The DOVE P1, which is made of a fibreglass body, weighs in at about 200kg and is capable of speeds of up to 35 km/h. Going through the group's official blog site, AutoReportNG noticed that they gave a detailed report of how the car was made right from the drawing to the finish.
