shayi12: sup beautiful people in the house!!! happy independence day!!!! wow its been ages since i was last on this site and its defo hardwork for me to start from where i stopped. aniwaiz hope all is good. for those coming to lambton college esp in the ITP program, uve chosen well the course is awesome but be prepared to write at least 2 tests per week. hence you have to be on your game. others courses are also good and am sure uld enjoy it. ohh yes and we all went to Niagra falls last weekend and twas awesome!!!truly one of the 8 wonder of the world. i cant belive how close my city is to US. about 15mins to be precise. shoot me any questions people and i can help out in my own way!!!! cheers

Please guys I need your advise; this is the first time am commenting on this thread, but honestly I must say, you guys are doing a great job here. Comments from the likes of Siga, Fhemmy, Gboyega D et al are quite commendable, you can hardly see Nigerians abroad offering these kind of service for free, even family members. More grease to your elbow guys!

A bit about my background so you can advise asap ; I ‘ve got Bsc (Estate Mgt, 2.1), MBA (B+), PMP cert. , Professional Marketing Cert with over 10 years working experience + visits to UK/US(never over stay), in my mid 30s and married with kids.
My request:

I wanted a Masters/PG program in REAL ESTATE field in Canada, I have searched all the schools in Canada but never found one ( you can help if you know of any) save Diploma Program in BCIT & Seneca College, others are some real estate specializations in MBA( Ryerson, York, VIU) programs(already got MBA) and don’t think I need this. I like the Diploma program though as they lead to some real estate certifications in Canada but HOW DO YOU THINK THE VO WILL SEE ME APPLYING FOR DIPLOMA PROGRAM (same is applicable to my 2nd choice of profession- Project Mgt), kindly advice on the best way out.

I just want to say that whether online or paper, take your application seriously. Include as many documents as you can. I have seen online denials for what can be considered very good applications same way I have seen approvals for some 'one kind' applications. There are so many variables considered by the VOs.

Example- My colleague's sponsor had 2.8 and he had 800k. No landed property. He applied via paper in june 13 and he is in canada as I speak. Apparently his supervisors included a letter for the application and emailed the cic in addition. A friend with a higher SOA, landed property plus job and family was recently denied online route. He said he spoke to an immigration lawyer in canada who advised him to take the paper route and write a details letter almost like an appeal and include documents and pictures.
No one can truly say what the VOs are looking for.

So far the main and clear advantage of online is that you know where you stand early and can plan your life accordingly instead of waiting 4 months.

I know u just want to be realistic, being realistic is relative, u sound like u are so sure I will be denied...there's no need for such negativity right nw, God hand na him he dey. Well, its a company and moni comes in and goes out...total credit and debit of one of the SOA was 219M and 217M altogether and the other one too good cash flow. The tax certificate showed it had total turn over of 617M last year and there's share certificate I submitted to. Frm the past threads I read, there hv been people who used company sponsorship and got their trvs, Aihewia was sponsored by a law firm and frm wat she submitted, nt all that but she was called for medicals and was only requested she submit proof of ther own funds(her personal statement).

manover: Hello house! My brother is a student in Serbia, and he's already in Third year of his study in Serbia, and he wants to run a short summer program next year 2014, Do think he has a chances of getting the visa? Though his on scholarship in Serbia studying computer science and engineering.

1. Can he use his own statement of account? about 1.1m?

2. Can he apply online without biometric? because i heard Nigeria must need biometric to apply for Canny visa from Nov 2013!

3. There is no Canada embassy in Serbia how can he apply? can someone help him in Nigeria to apply in Nigeria without biometric?

The minimum balance of ur sponsor: I don't know the figure of ur tuition and board so u'll have to do the homework yourself, calculate all neccessary expenses of your first year a x3 of it will be okay depending on who your sponsor is to you.

jadapinket13: It's not as if am trying to make her scared, but I just like facing reality. We need share ideas and advice each other. Even if the company has 1billion in shares, do you think they will want to sale their shares because of one staff if they run short of cash? And another question is how important that staff is to the company for them to go through all that to sponsor the staff. And lastly all those documents they gave you to submit were they all the original documents?

One thing; on the site, after using the questionnaire to know if am eligible to get a study permit, I was shown list of stuffs am gon upload+the "about my family thing"... but, no employer stuff n property.
Is the online requirement different from what they'll require of us at the embassy? . just asking

jadapinket13: From my observation the company has just 8M in total in their account and they want to sponsor you for studies in Canada. Remember they have other responsibilities e.g paying of staff salaries etc. The VO at CDHC will evaluate all this. Just my own observation sha...

Obieem: Oga Chrigo, thanks I was about to send you a PM. The 13k na for one year and I was told to pay one semester fee thaat is 7.5 before Nov 15 to reserve my seat. Is it possible for them to change the date, atleast take it further so I can sort out visa issues.
