timmituyi: Chrigo,

Believe me! I knw an agent in nija who collected 50k to get admission for a Lambton fellow. I knw wot am saying.

D amt is nt even d issue but Lambton shd nt ask pips to pay tru agents.....its very wrong. All admission process shd be strictly btw 2 parties Lambton n d aspiring student. A 3rd party is nt needed!
....When was that?....Maple might have charged some peeps 50k previously for Admission/other services.....Now they don't...they only charge N8000 for Admission and visa processing is optional.....Lambton is not asking peeps to apply through any agent for visa.....they are only referring you to there representative in Naija for the admission process....if you check Lambton's website( http://lambton.on.ca/International/Helpline/ ) you'll see the name of dia naija rep so Lambton is not wrong....
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by ChriGo(m): 11:09pm On Sep 03, 2014
timmituyi: Chrigo,

D nija students should oppose Lambton referring nija them to agents.....sum agents even collect 50k which is a total rip off. By my understanding, the agents visit Lambton and tell them what to do which is wrong. Even CIC will advise you to secure all visa processes urself, so am wondering y lambton ll be imposing agents on aspiring student.
...just came online...lovelydamsel is right...its just for admission...not visa purpose....they only charge N8000 ($50) on that not N50,000.....
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by ChriGo(m): 1:03am On Sep 03, 2014
PlayPays: Chei I'm sorry then.. so you sef was pushed to maple?!
....Nope, i wasn't...During my time, Lambton process admission individually for applicants without referring them to Maple....Na just recently dem start to dey refer peeps dia by fire by force.....
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by ChriGo(m): 11:42pm On Sep 02, 2014
PlayPays: Haba brother! this cant be right! do you work for Maple?!
...Yep he is right...Lambton refers peeps to maple by fire by force grin...its just for the admission bro...N8000 is just the $50 application fee...to process visa using maple is optional...them no dey force person for that one....

masterp204: @chrigo and lambton peeps. The (BMIB) business management - international business course at lambton college , is it a post graduate certificate program or post graduate diploma prog.

Secondly, I want to knw if 4 million closing balance in my sponsors (parents) acc ll be ok to apply for trv. Though I have paid the mandatory $6650 first semester tuition . Pls advice.
....Either postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma...wetin you wan use am do? grin....if you've paid the tuition deposit....4m closing balance isn't bad for visa app...also back it up with ur dad's source of income.....

Are u in lambton?
...Yes ...You wan find me come? grin....
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by ChriGo(m): 8:31pm On Sep 01, 2014
Gozychuks: Yes I even contacted UBC and and they advised me to consider a diploma cos in BCIT stating dat they UBC av limited slots n dat govt have cut down on fundin and there r very few sources of funding for non Canadian students.

Hence the course is very competitive in UBC and dat BCIT has a larger capacity and intake.

I can very well cope with environmental Engineering its my line. I just happen to have 2 choices and need to choose one. I really need to knw d prospects. Thanks. I don't want to apply to only one sch who knws which will work out. Which of d two have better prospects as a non indigene. And which provinces or schs would u suggest for d Env Engr. Am not goin for d BCIT cos I'd rather still try d UBC. Tho am thinkin I should stick to Env Engr dats y I want to knw d prospects
....Let someone in that Line in Canada guide you jejely on the prospect my bro.....My line na Information Technology....Except you wan make i guide you enter one chance grin.....

Gozychuks: I actually have two courses in mind Environmental Engineering and Occupational health and safety. Frm research I found out dat no sch in canny offers msc in occupational health and safety they only offer certificate courses and diplomas.and I want to do msc. I am actually a 2.1 graduate of Environmental Technology speacialising in pollution control. And most Msc Environmental Engineering seem to be more like Civil and Environmental Engrin. So I am wonderin if I will find it difficult to cope with cos of d civil tin. I would also need ur advise on which schs Environmental Engrin to go for n which province has better job prospects for an Environmental Engr. Need I say the best cheap deal.cos its not easy with me am currently not workin. Tanx

ChriGo, Siga and other gurus pls say something
.....University of British Columbia offers Msc Occupational and Environmental Hygiene...did you check that?......coping with Environmental Engineering depends on the limit you set for yourself....Its still your line.....so unlimit yourself bro grin.....

tnuola: Hello ChriGo .. Please what do you think of project mgt, Asper job prospects and all.... And I intend applying for HR at lambton then transferring/ switching to PM (also in lambton) on arrival.. I believe this is possible? Yes? No?

Thanks
.....Project Management ain't a bad course...but even if you stick with HR, you still get to do project Management...Studying project Management as a course might not give you much edge cuz any tom, dick and harry can become a project Manager grin....Anybody can apply for a project Management job depending on the Experience they have in Managing projects be it in IT sector,Agricultural sector ,Financial sector....as for change of course in Lambton, You can switch back and forth anyhow u like...Its a free world....Do what works best for you.....

Enroute2015: Thanks Boss... meaning I'm applying for Lambton. planning to write my CCNA before coming down tho'. Hope it'll boost the pay $$$$... grin
....If its convinient for you then you can write ur CCNA in Naija....if not then you can write it here in Lambton....enuff certification dey available here for you to write.....if you're coming for Information Technology Professional(ITP).....the minimum certification requirement for graduation is compTIA project+, MCITP( Server Administrator),MCITP( Enterprise Administrator) and Other internal Projects wey you go do....this exams are free though....other certification exams(e.g CCNA,A+,ITIL,CCNP,security+, e.t.c) wey you wan write na from ur pocket grin....as for the CCNA, i advice you come write it here as you'll be taking courses on it ....upon getting 75% and above in the cisco courses...you'll get discounted prices in writing some Cisco exams so its far more cost effective than writing it in Naija.......
