Aina is a good player who knows he could be world class tomorrow but the brutal honest truth is that he wouldn't be called ahead of the current England fullbacks.
Both past and current, Aina never stood any chance

Does Torino looks like Chelsea academy?
In 2018, Kierran Trippier was a starter for Spurs, Nathan Clyne for Liverpool, Young for Man United, Walker for Man City, but Southgate would leave these four and Wan Bissaka in the EPL for an Aina that was not a regular starter for lowly Torino abi? You he funny guy grin

Nigerian girls r allowed to play football.
Nigerian boys r allowed to trim their beards
You mean Southern Nigeria or you wanna feign ignorance of what's up in the core north with their sharia/Islamic laws? Do you see northern girls playing soccer like our girls in the south?

A call from Chelsea academy or from the championship ahead of players like Nathan Clyne, Ashley Young and Walker?

When did Reece James and Wan Bissaka came to limelight?

You mean Aina who was already playing in top league and Europe when Reece James was still in academy will be chosen ahead of Aina then?
How many pro seasons has Aina played in the top flight, and who were occupying that position for England during Aina's first two top flight seasons?

Did you know that from 2016 through 2018, while Aina was shuttling between Chelsea youth team and the English championship, Wan Bissaka was already a regular in the EPL with crystal palace? Aina never stood a chance because even before the likes of Arnold, there were players like Clyne, Young et al all playing for England and below Walker in the pecking order, they were all better than Aina

Those who want to play for Nigeria will play for Nigeria. It will be impossible to stop them.

IF any player eligible for Nigeria is called up once and they say they need time to decide, that's fine. We leave it there. When they have finished thinking about it THEY should inform the NFF and they will be invited to join camp and fight for a shirt.

IF they decide not to join that's also fine, we move on swiftly.

Some will join us and some will not. What we must however do is give them the chance by inviting them ONCE.

The reason i say we need to invite them and make it public is to avoid lies coming out further down the road.

e.g Gabby Agbonlahor. Anyone who knows him knows he is 100% Brummie and I am sure the thought of playing for Nigeria over England would have made him laugh deep down. There was no chance of that happening in 1 million years! Now he has retired with a grand total of 3 England Caps to his name he always says he picked England because NFF didnt reach out to him. Lies!

e.g Fikayo Tomori. Eligible for Canada, England and Nigeria. He has already come out to say he wasn't contacted by the NFF. This is not true. He is still one England 1 cap since his debut in 2019 against Kosovo. We are watching....

We are the Super Eagles of Nigeria!! The country may be crap but the Super Eagles is without doubt the biggest brand in International Football on the African Continent. If you doubt me ask furcknig Nike!!

*drops the mic*
What makes you the biggest brand? You think this is mid 90s to early 2000s?

Ola Aina has at 2018 was bright, besides Olise is down the pecking order in England. And your argument recks of fallacy because I don’t understand what Terrorism has to do with this arguement.
Nigeria is bigger football nation and has a bigger economy than Algeria. Southern Nigeria where the super eagles play is also secure. When it comes to football these things come first.
Now I know what your problem is. It is actually stack ignorance, for you to have made that bolded statement. Bros before you make this statement elsewhere, please, outside this country we all are Nigerians, no one gives a fvck what geopolitical region one is from. To an outsider, whatever happens in Sokoto affects a man from far away Rivers State. To an outsider, Nigeria just like its brothers like Afghanistan, Pakistan etc, are terrorists breeding nations. In the last decade, the name "Nigeria" is synonymous to boko haram, Fulani terrorism, banditry, jihad etc, just as Afghanistan is synonymous to Taliban, they don't know those demarcations. You only know the demarcations because you live here in Nigeria. Nigeria isn't an entity to be proud of, so don't blame the kids for their choices, because nobody wanna associate with failure.

I expect Rohr to have meet him up and also use players like iwobi to entice him and talk to him probably they never saw him as someone we need seriously
Algeria isn't a war torn country, they have almost same system and ideology with the Europeans and the sane Arab worlds. They don't breed terrorists like Nigerian, and the masses hold their leaders accountable. Nigeria is so backward and no sane human would trade Algeria for Nigeria. No reasonable player will pick Algeria over Nigeria bro. We will all meet at Afcon
Ola Aina knew he stood no chance. Ola Aina was surplus to requirements. Ola Aina was never good enough. Ola Aina would have ended up like Nedum Onuorah hence he ran to us. Dude never wanted us, but he was smart and saw the clearer picture. Wan Bissaka hasn't gotten a look in, na Ola Aina wan get. Ola Aina wouldn't have made England top 6 right backs if he had chosen England over Nigeria, so my boy had no other option than to pitch his tent here. This is reality, no yeye emotions. And yes, Algeria has better infrastructures and govt. than Nigeria. Hey! Algeria isn't listed as a terrorist infested country, because they don't breed terrorists the way Nigeria does

Told you all no reasonable play would wanna associate with this dirty system, but you all kept hold of your empty dreams. Olise has made the right choice, he is still young and too good to mess up his blossoming career with Nigeria, it hurts to say this but that is just the truth. The earlier you all understand that nothing is attractive about Nigeria, the better for you all. We can only get the players deemed surplus to requirements, the players that have no other options than to pitch their tents with us. No quality player confident in his abilities would trade illustrious systems for ours. Would be really fun to face him and his Algerian side in the AFCON. grin

Boom! The chronicles of a bitter and a disgruntled black woman ! This is like a replay of what goes on in the USA when you split with a black woman. I guess Nigerian women are learning fast. These new generation Nigerian women feminists are on 7G men hating.

In the USA when you split with a black woman she will use the court system that favors the women folks to torment your life. The court will give custody of your children to her, give the house to her and take 70% of your income and give to her , and leave you with visitation rights which will be at the mercy of the woman. Now , she has the weapon to brainwash your children and turn them against, which may result in your children disowning your surname. This is a commonplace in the USA.
Very shameful

from the name bassey cus I never see core igbo family with that name unless the efiks and ibibios
Well there are Basseys in Ebonyi State though some of their lineages can be traced back to the Ibibios and Efiks, but not all. I have one as a friend, and the first day, he mentioned his surname to me, i was like how could your surname be "Basil", was Catholicism that deep in your family that you guys had to bear such as you surnames, he said no, that what he said was "Bassey" not "Basil". He schooled me on their history. I made researches and read about them to educate and grow my knowledge.

Yea Efiks, Ibibios and Igbos borrow and bear in common some names like Ebere, Chinenye, Ifunanya etc, though in some cases, the names get adulterated like the case of Enyeama(Efik) and Inyama (Ukwa West, Abia State), Abasi (Efik/Ibibio) and Obasi(Igbo).

Trust me people won't know the pain in this type of situation until they are there. Although at the end of the day the boy is grown enough to make his decisions. Hopefully he gives his father a chance in the long run.
I was once confided in by a friend about a similar issue. In this case the father was Yoruba and the mum from Enugu. As a true custodian of Igbo culture, it is forbidden for me to see white and call it black, so I had to damn the emotions of the guy and maybe his mum's too for the hard truth. Firstly, I asked if the dad was legally married to the mum, he said yes, but that they left when they were tender because their mother was being maltreated by his uncles after the death of their father. The woman brought them to Enugu, trained them here, and changed their surname. I told him that was wrong, even if you don't wanna associate with your kinsmen no more, never throw away your true identity (surname), otherwise your dad would be very ashamed in the land of the spirits. My take didn't really sit well with him, but he finally did as I told him, and he is happier now and very at piece with his soul.

Cc. ChrisKels

Nna, I can't believe what I am reading. That act of changing his surname to his mother's maiden surname is so spiteful and it has his mother's handwriting written all over it! So shameful.
Imagine the travail of my fellow man, and you want me to keep quiet? Aji gbakwa!

“I had Issues with the mum, out of wickedness she denied me access to my children and changed my son’s surname to her maiden name,”

“I tried my best to settle with her. We went to court in London for me to have access to my children, but she vehemently opposed me seeing my children.

“This very issue happened in 2008. The judge told us to go home and settle the matter as a family, but she denied me and that is the reason that I have not been able to have access to my children."

“I have four sons – Calvin, Elvis, Michael and Matthew. Calvin is my first son. The children visited me in Italy in 2016. We took photos together. It was very lovely atmosphere in Italy.

“I had an access with my children then, but somehow along the line, their mother poisoned Calvin and my other sons to be completely against me. The mother changed their numbers so that I will not be able to communicate with my boys."

“In February this year, i went to England from Italy. I came to Leicester City FC training ground. I introduced myself as Calvin’s father to the officials of the club."

“I presented all my documents, they checked it and they knew I’m the biological father of Calvin and they welcomed me very well.

"The club officials called Calvin. He wanted to be sure if actually his father was around. So they asked me if there is any other name that he is known with.

“I had to convinced them further by mentioning the nickname I used to call him when he was much younger. The officials mentioned the name to Calvin and when he heard the name, he said the person that calls him that name is either his father or mother.

“The club officials allowed me to speak to my son through the club’s telephone. We did speak. He said I should come to his house.

“Getting to his house, he was on call with his mother. Immediately he saw me, he became very upset, that he doesn’t want to see or talk to me. He said he was going to the gym to train.

“I had to go back to Italy dejected and since then I never had access to Calvin and my other three sons. I just want to reconcile with my four boys.

“To be candid, i don’t know the offence I committed against the mother that she should take such drastic action against me, to deprive me access with my children,”

I don't know where his mum came from, she could be Igbo as well because Ohu Ozara people of Ebonyi State also bear the surname "Bassey", and even the mum's name is Eberechi, but she was wrong to have changed the boy's surname, whatever was the problem between her and the father.

Same Turkey really? For a club that just got promoted? While Yobo was a starter for the then best club in Turkey, do you know Musa is a bench warmer for the worst club in Turkey?

Lol Musa that was getting call ups even when he was club less and a non playing Kano pillar?

So, you would take Egwuekwe ahead of the then Yobo who was in champions league with Fenerbahce?
