There are people that just do not see anything good about Nigeria. To them any other country in Africa is better.

I shake my head for instance when I see people comparing a country like Ghana to Nigeria. Accra in my opinion is not more developed than Port Harcourt. What I heard before I visited there was way different from what I met. The only things they have that we don't have are steady power supply and security.

I watched a documentary of top ten most developed Cities in Africa, Lagos and Abuja were in top 6. Both in one country. Some of our state capitals are likened to the Capital of some countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

If you have never left this country and hear what people say about other countries you will think we are the worst in the world.

With the highest GDP in Africa, Nigeria is an economic giant of Africa.
Everything thing u wrote might be true but that GDP wey no feed his population, that gdp na joke. Nigeria as a country has no sustainable gdp for his very large population let alone Africa, so how is it a giant?

This Nigeria bashing has become a norm these days smh. I stayed in the states almost half my life. I am not some village hack who has been brainwashed or something because I like the NPFL. So I know what a great country is like but if you cant back your self nobody will do it for you. You tend to overblow anything involving Nigeria which is unfair, Nigeria has issues but where doesn't?
You missed the point with Togo and Benin. Without us where will they sell those goods?
The bolded is the only reasonable thing so far from the bunch defending Nigeria here, now let me use the right word, we "complement" each other. If the closed their boarders, we might go naked bkus of lack of okrika wears, carless because of lack of "Belgium motors"

Isaac Success the best Watford player so far in this preseason. Yes u heard me right... The real Isaac Success is back to his beast mode!!!
safarigirl:
All these pre-season games flatter to deceive. Make we enter the real season, we go see who be who.

I am sha sure that Man City isn't taking that trophy this season
ChrisKels:
And u forgot it is the best time for players(mainly those with a point to prove) to make impressions on their coaches to be given a chance in the main event? U forgot a bad pre season could place u on the bad book of the coach and have u sent away on loan?

It was a good preseason that gave Achor his Man City break under Pelegrini
safarigirl:
That perennial Chelsea loanee that was promising two years ago, we never see the promise, he is still a loanee. Who pre-season epp?
ChrisKels:
Iwobi, Achor, Assensio, Vieto, el sharawy , wilshere, walcot, Alex Arnord, maitland niles, Mbappe, Moussa Dembele et al too numerous to mention grin
So u c? it wasnt my words grin

OK let me put it through.

Poverty rate, Nigeria 33.1, benin, 40.1

Economy per gdp. Nigeria 405.1 billion dollars, benin, 8.53 billion dollars.

Now tell me how on earth will u even think comparing Africans largest populous country with tiny village of a benin.
Only Lagos gdp will take on that country hands down.

I havent even bring on military might and infrastructures.
, dude stop embarrassing this country to sound intelligent.
There is no room for comparison between Nigeria and benin.
That thing up there is Benin 2015 stat, but, that said, equate the GDPs to the respective populations of the two countries, then, u tell me, on average, who has the better standard of living. A family of five would make do with a loaf of bread but two loaves wouldnt be enough for a family of 12.

Last time I had this debate, I was on ur own side but after I was provided with this link, I had a rethink ;

https://www.indexmundi.com/factbook/compare/benin.nigeria

When Nigeria sneezes, only its citizens catch cold

go and tell that to benin republic president who said it.
U are funny, ur over population is what is boosting Benin economy. Ur over dependent on fairly used products imported via the Benin ports are the reason for such comments. That was a very smart move from the Benin Presido to bloat ur ego. That is called fooling the wise by making urself look like a fool. He humbled himself to bring u down to ur knees.

Dude be careful when someone praises u to bloat ur ego... Know when u are being over rated just to make u feel good and get sapped

Since ur yeye country plunged into recession, how many of ur neighbouring countries have felt the heat, let alone the whole of Africa?

Listen, if Lil Benin and Togo cough, Nigeria will get hospitalised. We know where most of the goods consumed here are gotten from.

See, for me, our major problem is not the CB it is our attack. Nigeria would have made second round if we had a better attacking force.

We do not have a recognized striker at present that should be our major concern.
You are not wrong bro but we should be doing more because we dont really have quality CBs.

About that striking position, the world cup is over, I have got my eyes primarily of Isaac Success, Sadiq Umar and then, Taiwo Awoniyi. I no follow una for Simeon Nwankwo. Kayode to me is just a faster Ighalo, dude can miss targets for Africa just like Odion.

Who else is concerned with our lack of Centre backs in quality leagues/teams in Europe?

Bar Awaziem and Balogun, we dont really have Centre backs in top teams and leagues in Europe compared to other major African teams.

Ivory coast for instance, has Jean Gbamin, joris Gnagnon, Eric Baily etc

Oga, 1999 or 2009 standard is not 2019 standard.

That Ahmadu Bello stadium is not fit to host an AFCON game in this present age and time, no matter how you try to renovate it. Worst still the AFCON is just 10 months away

And did you say the national stadium Lagos? Better that the federal government builds a completely new stadium than attempting to renovate that coliseum of a stadium.

That New Stephen Keshi stadium is not AFCON standard in anyway. Rather than to present that as an AFCON venue and embarrassing ourselves in the face of Africa and the world at large we should not even border presenting it.

You can see that only 3 stadium can be ready with little touches before June next year.

Lets allow Morocco host so we can enjoy AFCON in nice venues abeg.
Nigerian aint fit to host any major tourney. They should take it to Morocco, they did well with the CHAN, otherwise, take it to Eastern Africa for either of Ethioppia or Kenya. But if it must go South, give it to Rwanda or Angola

I was right all along. U have comprehension problems. I said people preferred Simmy to him while I chose him instead. I made my proposition in a subjunctive mode. I am sorry it was too complex for u to understand.

The post u quoted is raving the boy because of his last season exploits which made me ask for him to be given a chance prior the mundial . Same post clearly said his preseason goal is first of many to come this season. I wonder where u got that line that my fascination with him is borne outta a mere preseason goal. I wanna believe u dont have problems with comprehension,
