Hmmmm, real difficult one but it goes to England for all the hot air they blow about their overpayed players

Alrighty Wormy i hope u enjoy the view from ur award winning 2nd place grin

One place above us and we won't hear word again, i guess u guys have been clutching onto straws since ur special one got that Russians boot print on his ass, enjoy it while it last, this may be as close to the top as u'll get, at least us Gunners know what it feels like to be on the top this season.

@ loyika

Wormy is just being ur average Chavski glory hunter fan

We were top and we mouthed off (Just like the scummies are doing) fair enough i don't see whey we shouldn't

U overtake The Arsenal by one point and ur here giving lectures and celebrating, wormy, come on, u aint even seen the top of the table and ur talking like uve conquered, everyone knows its normal to look down from the top of the table and brag

iykedee

I don't have a great deal to contribut but if she ain't tried to contact u in 3 weeks, i sincerly feel its over, her attention is being taken by someone else.

I feel your pain bro, take heart and move on, it wasn't meant to be her, when she does realise what she's lost like u rightly said it'll be too late, just go through the emotions now rather than prolong ur misery with wishing and hoping

Wormed

I agree positions should not be guaranteed, would be nice to have quality players on the bench pushing for places in the first team, hopefully an injection of some more players in certain areas will make everyone else sit up. Having said that, u can't exactly point an accusing finger on our layers for not giving their all

I agree with HNIC, wormed u were no where near this thread when u'all were still making ur left from right, u and Somze were already talking bout next season and a new coach, the only pple who have bragging rights are the scummies (for being on top)
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 12:00pm On Mar 27, 2008
Agreed our style of play involves a lot of movement but Ronaldo aint the most stagnant player in the prmiership yet he's still waxing strong.

I don't expect our players to be anything close to the form they showed at the beginning of the season but heck quality will always shine fatigue or not, we have created chances as usual but for the past few games, something seems to have left us. If we had a predator who took his chances when they came those drws could have easily been wins.

i still think its more of  a mental issue but also believe that we need more quality players in the team
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 11:04am On Mar 27, 2008
Okay so everyone has started analysing huh, even the chavski fans who have been mute for a very long while now, 1 point diference and they're here telling u where u went wrong. It's all good.

Following Debosky's point, i also agree that Arsenal's problem has been more mental than physical. Our top players have played roughly the same number of games as the top players from United, u could argue not playing the full 90 mins but that doesn't account for a lot. Check the stats out;

Van dar Sar - 33
Wes brown - 33(4)
Ferdinand/Vidic - 38
Ronaldo - 35(2)
Carlos Tevez - 30 (7)

Manuel Almunia/Gallas - 34
Bacary Sagna - 38(2) you wouldn't have guessed the way he played against Chelsea
Cesc Fabregas - 36(2)
Matthieu Flamini - 35(1)
Emmanuel Adebayor - 34(5)
Alexadr Hleb - 34(2)

Now judging by those figures i don't see how fatigue is an issue, remember the likes of Fab, Hleb and Flamster missed a few games due to injury so they should still have something left in the tank.

I honestly have not been able to put my finger on the dip in form but looking at these figures, i believe it might be a mental thing since the Eduardo issue.
However i do believe that we need to top up our squad to match our rivals and have a bit more quality on the bench, i heard AW has been sniffing around Ben Arfa, we could sure do with an extra winger Rosicky just can't seem to stay fit.

MC OMO,

you are a bloody pillock !!!
i can see the omo is getting to your brains !

the arse fell off the FA cup before us.
you went off the CC before us.
you finished 2nd in your group at the UCL competitions; we finished 1st.

you are 3rd according to the EPL table !!!!!!!!!
and to borrow your sorry arses' achievement from last season; we've played in a final already tongue you lot are yet to sniff what a final feels like in over a year !!! grin

how the fu.ck do you explain having a better season than us ? are you drunk again huh
Worm man

What awards did ur team get for the highlighted achievements

In the end only the winner stands tall

Our season has been easily better than ures simply cos we have exceeded our initial expectations, no one gave us a chance in hell but we're only 6 points off still with a chance if results go our way.

Chelsea on the other hand were captioned as title hopefuls as well as FA and CC potential winners, what happened to that quad? Ur down to the last 2 of which one is not certain (CL) and the other ur chasing and hoping on results (Premiership).
SportsRe: Rio Ferdinand To Captain England Against France! by chuckdee4(m): 3:43pm On Mar 26, 2008
Hoodlums who have not been red carded all season

Rooney stamped on a fellow man's balls, if thats not a thug i don't know what is

Of course u won't remember Carrick coping a yellow ur a scummie remember (thats like me saying i can't remember Eboue diving), besides the players ur comparing him with have more minutes under their belt so the likelihood of them getting carded is obviously higher.

Chacal:
@ Dayokanu,

You are still an IDIOT even after all those MFM prayer sessions?
Did u witness how Torres(the same player that destroyed INTER MILAN) was caged by Ferdinand?
How many top players has he silenced this season. . . . In terms of performance, he is the best English defender this season.
I am very sure Rio, Vidic and Evra will make the PFA team again. . . . . Sagna might be the other dude to make the back FOUR!!!!

@ Akinalabi,

Ferguson should have stopped Rio and Rooney from participating.
I don't want to see em injured against those French animals. . . . Gallas, Sagna, Clichy, Abidal. Vieira are zoo animals.
FABIO should play em for 45 mins and they should jet back to Manchester airport with immediate effect.
The last 7 league games should be treated as 7 cup finals. . . . . NO COMPLACENCY!!!!!!!!!!
The two sides of Chacal/Jackal

First off ur very right about dayokanu being a ninny, how can u say Rio is the worst player in the team, not being biased he has been better than Gallas and Toure all season and better than any other top 4's CB. I'll give props where it is due.
As for him being captain, the only reason he hasn't had this bestowed on him in the past was simply cos of his drug ban and the fact that he aint white, i don't see how Owen can be captain in a team that includes Ferdinand.

Chacal, u forget to mention England will be playing with their usual thugs Rooney, Carrick n Haegreaves

I know i didnt just see a wormy Chav try to diss Arsenal, uve had a far worse season than we have, we have over achieved for where we are but being fans, once u see ur team in poll position u begin to expect the best.

I think Wenger's work isn't finished with these boys yet, we're still short of winning the premiership, the improvement is there for all to see. It will be very interesting to see what Wenger does over the summer, if our improvement continues at ths rate then i can't wait for next season, at the moment this season isn't over yet, even if we fall out of the title race all together we still have a shout as to where the title will go

Keep dreaming Chacal, 2-man Liverpool will feel our wrath, th eonly worry is all these injuries but Liverpool will get thumped like they did last season, exxcluding the 4-1 at Anfield
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by chuckdee4(m): 3:01pm On Mar 25, 2008
Chacal even before they had their man sent off they were already down by one by a WES BROWN goal grin

IMO they didn't look like they were going home with any points with or without 11 men on the pitch, Liver[b]poo/b] are just an average team aside Gerrard and Torres and once agin they got hopelessly exposed
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by chuckdee4(m): 2:41pm On Mar 25, 2008
My take on the ManU, Liverpool game:

Never send the scousers to do the dirty work for u, how useless are Liverpool, i hope they lose that 4th spot to Everton

Chacal

Anything can happen, i know the stats favour ManU but stats were meant to be broken/re-written, Chelsea n Arsenal still have a small ray of hope but its going to be tough.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 3:00pm On Mar 24, 2008
Sunday was ainful i no go lie, AW needs some class players in that team, plus we need a much bigger team, the likes of Fab, Hleb and Ade are all worn out, we need quality squad players who can fill in and do the business, yesterday we didn't have anyone on the bench who could come in and change the game, plus why couldn't Gallas/Toure handle balls in the air, that was sure our downfall, both drogba goals could have been avoided if they had handled him in the air.

The title is fast slipping away ans as a fan i refuse to believe its over yet, especially with United having to play Chelsea and us but its going to be very hard.
The team has surpassed themselves this season and if anything have grown much quickker than expected, nobody expected us to be where we are this season but we've been right there at the top and thats why we all felt we could go on and win it. We could definetly do much better if Wenger strenghtens up the team, the likes of ROsicky/RVP have been badly missed thats why wee need quality replacements, we need wingers and a CB who does not take any nonsense in the air, i'm sick n tired of Drogba bossing our back 4, those goals where not quality it was simply a ball pin balling itself around the 18 that wasn't dealt with.

Its all good, may the best team win the premiership, but AW needs to start recruiting for next season

United's lead is playing numbers with your eyes. . . . .Are u seeing double already.
You are replying Ruudie when u should be replying Le Chac. . . . . .This is serious in the GAYnners camp.
Its sad and i kind of pity y'all goonz.

Liverpool look inspired? Tell us when they don't look inspired?
We are saying Rafa Benitez is yet to score a valid league goal against Fergie in 4 years. . . . .
Were the Scousers not inspired when we thumped em 1-0 at Anfield in december?
Liverpool were in a superb form having pulverised Marseille 4-0 away but they still froze against Vida and Rio.

PREDICTION: MAN UTD 2-0 LIVERPOOL . . . . . . CHELSEA 2-0 ARSENAL
Chacal, u guys stole the lead some time this season and what happened, yes the very same Arsenal wrestled it out ur hands, this season is far from over and u know it, United will drop points every blind man can see it.
We have enough goal scorersw in our team, we have won games without Ade scoring.

Mark my word, Benitez is bound to break that record sooner or later and they look well poised to do so, underestimate them at ur own peril

Ruudie Ruudie

fair enough u got bragging rights being on top of the table n all, if ur looking at Chelsea to do y'all a favour that won't happen, did u see how they fumbled against Spurs @ White Shyte lane, i see a certain home record being broken on sunday.

Liverpool look inspired at the mo and i'lld be worried about El Toro doing a number on y'all if i was u especially if Ferdinand does not play. Y'all look like a one man team, thank ur stars Divino is having the season of his life, they'll be a big twist in the title chase this sunday. If 5 points could be brought down to nothing i don't think 3 points is worth anything at this stage of the premiership, especially with all 4 teams having to play each other

but seriously, Chelsea aint winning shit, 4 freaking goals after they had closed the gap, tihis was a must win and they screwed up, Arsenal better pick the pieces from here

AutosRe: Lagos Brt, Riddicle To The Masses by chuckdee4(m): 5:35pm On Mar 19, 2008
I never said rail or water transportation wouldn't work in Nigeria i'm only trying to be realistic.

The Nigerian roads are in a state, if half the money used to construct a new transportatin means is put into improving the roads and maintenance don't u think it would ease the traffic and pressure on the already conjested roads.

Besides there is so much more to rail and water transportation that meets the eye.
Western countries spend bucket loads of money investing in security systems for these sort of transportation means, these means of transporatation unlike road require more care.
Ok, let me put it this way, u see how danfo drivers drive with no seat belts and their conductors hanging out the bus, on a train or ship,u can't afford such negligence else, everyone will pay with their lives.

Even the existing trains run with no care, how many people have died on rail tracks in Lagos? When the governement fail to invest in warning systems or simply barricading the area. If we can't run that ordinary train system effectively what makes u think we can run a tube system (Which is by far more complex)?

We're talking serious money here as well as dedicated personnel. With ur average Nigerian man's attitude its a long way from happening, i would love to see such improvements in Lagos but i feel a lot needs to be done before we start talking of creating these new transportation means.
AutosRe: Lagos Brt, Riddicle To The Masses by chuckdee4(m): 5:06pm On Mar 19, 2008
Water thi, rail that, shouldn't we be trying to improve the existing system (Road) before diving into any other thing
AutosRe: Lagos Brt, Riddicle To The Masses by chuckdee4(m): 3:20pm On Mar 19, 2008
Why spend all that money trying to set up the train system again, when it could be put to better use

I'm not saying its not possible but i believe we have to improve on the current means of transportation b4 trying to re-introduce another one. One does not go chasing a snake in his neighbour's house when his house is on fire
AutosRe: Lagos Brt, Riddicle To The Masses by chuckdee4(m): 1:30pm On Mar 19, 2008
Thanks for the clarification DisGuy

Lagos in general is a small city when compared to the number of people in it.

Road transportation is the only way around Lagos and its being stretched to the limit, the ideal solution would be another mode of transportation around Lagos (Train) but the reality is that Nigeria is not ready for such

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by chuckdee4(m): 6:10pm On Mar 18, 2008
@ Wormedup

Ade/Ali are striker, so their main job is to score goals right, anything else is extra

Hleb/Ronaldo are wingers, so their main job is to provide width and support to the attack right, anything else is extra

So do the maths, Hleb does what is required of him by default but does not add many goals to his game (Doesn't mean he's not doing his job well). heck if he fails to score all season but provides 60 assists, is he then termed a faliure

Did United think they would get this many goals from Ronaldo when they first bought him, was he not bought to support Rooney. Ronaldo's goals are the extra he brings to his team, Hleb brings a different kindda extra to Arsenal.

Talk about turning an argument on its head lipsrsealed
