Enigma: ^^^ Bros, mea culpa (i.e. guilty as charged)!Your honesty can disarm a charging bull. Peace bro. |
The double standard being displayed on this thread is disturbing...I am no saint but never will I mock God by trying to defend the indefensible. I hold Davidylan,Enigma,Ihedinobi in high esteem but the way Goshen is being treated on this thread shows pure favoritism. Goshen you can quote greek and hebrew,I don't care. The word of God cannot be broken, for any soul that'll be lost because of this heresy you are propagating, you will receive your recompense in full. If you want to fornicate its your life, don't defend it with your greek jingoism. Truthislight I love the way you are keeping it real |
AMUWOooooooooo Odofinnnnnnnnn! |
eklassical: i really think Whatsapp should just keep improving . facebook, google, n d rest of them are all scavengers, they indirectly steal ur idea by paying u stipends (forget d billions jor) and they earn more by remodelizing n adding it to their basket of Apps!!IT IS CALLED BUSINESS |
zaza1: Over 90% of the people calling her ugly don't even have the guts to use a profile pic on Nairaland..she got her tits done SO WHAT!!!IS IT UR BODY??She is not fine SO WHAT!!!Does that give u a right to judge her actions on just those two things?she had a plastic surgery and she is ugly and cause of those two things u know all about who she is and what she stands for..Nigeria's problem is not the leaders but the people,a land of bigots, tribalists, hypocrites who are broke asses most of the time.Couldn't have said it better |
Well, I will give my opinion on this: I think you should let your "friend" know. I mean, his wife is loose and you know it. It is your responsibility to let him know his wife is loose. Trust me, once you stop messing with her, she will just find someone else to fool around with. Don't think you are special. You are not. Resolution: Let your friend know and it will be up to him whether they want to save their marriage by going to counseling and all the other stuff. I mean, they do have four children. It will be up to him if he wants to keep you as a friend also. It will hurt your friend, but he is the one that needs to make an informed decision, and you have part of that information you feel me. The lesson: Don't spend time alone with a woman that is not your wife!!! Good luck bro.
The way we view woman is wrong... A man and a woman together performed an act, then you ask the man to sit on a 'moral high horse' and declare the woman is loose. How about that they are both loose? Or you shouldn't judge the woman? Those that live is glass houses don't throw stones |
naijainfogalery: It saddens me when celebrities use this innocent children for fame, My question is How much did she give to them? From all observations i didnt see any gift apart from the snacks and the cake. Its not about visiting them, its about giving tangible things and forget all these stunts of displaying in media that you visited an orphanage. Like one celebrity last year that visited with 10 cartons of Indomie. And her face was all over the Internet as if she has done something good. Its high time we face reality. Give and you dont even have to announce. All these your analysis are hinged on couple of pictures? Haba don't judge people when you don't knw dem |
chukkynwob: Bro Engima I really appreciate your post,I want to reiterate that my aim in this conversation will not be confrontational and I really wish you, in line with your usual character will accord me the same non-confrontational stance |
Bro Engima I really appreciate your post,I want to reiterate that my aim in this conversation will not be confrontational and I really wish you, in line with your usual character will accord me the same non-confrontational stance Enigma: First, I'd like to comment that the language (often used in Nigeria) "make heaven" is inadvisable. TBH I'm actually using mild language as I really dislike the language! The language suggests that it is by a person's own efforts that he achieves eternal life; s/he does 'good' and does not "sin" e.g. does not smoke, fornicate, murder etc.Lol at make heaven..okay lets use rest in the bossom our Lord shall we?... I believe resting in the bossom of the Lord is not by self-righteousness but a continuous and conscious effort at renewal of the new birth. I believe we have some work to do. Enigma: Our part is to exercise faith: then we are given the righteousness of Christ. And to use my "peculiar language" (which others may justifiably dislike) --- God Himself borns us again! This is why some people emphasise the new birth --- in this sense; some prefer to talk of new birth simply as changing one's ways; that's all good as far as it goes; John 1 makes us know that a person is born again not by the will of men etc but born of God! It is a spiritual thing - born of the Spirit!Okay if being born again is solely dependent on God...then how is salvation of man then by freewill?.Maybe there is a fine line I missed,I'll be blessed if you can be more lucid on this issue. |
Ihedinobi: If he had not truly been saved, he would not have repented. That's the differentiating mark between true Christians and impostors.so are you saying that it is impossible for a true christian to fall by the way side? |
for clarity sake if a believer is saved and goes back to sin will he make heaven? simple question and please enigma can you provide a direct answer to that question. |
JeSoul: Sorry about what happened to you brother...hope no such occurence since then and hopefully in the future. Thanks dearie. We thank God its been peace since then, but then we now sleep with one eye open, got three rottweilers too...*we are our own FG now*. |
okeyxyz: fornication simply means illicit sex. It is not consensual sex between man and woman. As long as they are not cheating anyone or nature(unnatural sex), then it cannot be fornication. Are you arguing from a christian viewpoint or are you being sarcastic? |
Orikinla: Who told you that Seun is an atheist?I am a christian and this post deserves a facepalm!! Seun himself had reiterated countless times on this forum that he is an atheist, and your post about atheists applying to christians for job, doesn't make sense. What is the correlation between belief systems and job competence? |
@Abdul perharps it'll be better if you go to your castle 'Islam for muslim section' lol. Well unlike Islam and Prophet Mo', anybody is allowed to howl insults at Jesus,in so doing they might get the message of the cross, which salvation and redemption. |
Ihedinobi: As for them picking that part of Lagos, it's primarily because, like I said, the upper classes slowly lose touch with the realities of Nigeria and get careless with their "it shouldn't be so" mentality. Because of this they're easier for such criminals to go for. Also considering the firepower I'm under the impression they had, they couldn't very well have gone for Ajegunle, could they?Bro, couldn't it have been primarily for economic reasons that they chose Lekki? On the average a heist in Lekki should yield more rewards than same operation in Ajegunle . Honestly if deepsight didn't show up another person would have showed up or they would have switched to plan B. I am personally grieved by Deepsight's story because about that same time last year,we were virtually woken by armed robbers. They meticulously cut the barbed wire on our fence, cut the burglarly proof bars on the windows without making a sound till they were in the house at that point,I could initiate any evasive or counter-attacking plans. Anyway we were robbed, laptops, jewellery ,phones, the whole 9yards. Thankfully there was no rape incidence and all We went to the police station to lodge an incidence report, just for official documentation purposes the police insisted they will visit the crime scene(we had to pick up their transportation bill), let me not bore you with the whole details. My main point is THE VICTIM IS JUST A VICTIM. |
Ihedinobi: Didn't I already answer this? JeSoul, my sister, no need to make it look like I condone the murders and r.a'pes. I do not. I said that if he hadn't been out so late at night in Lagos, there is a probability those goons would never have got their operation underway at all. The whole thing happened to him because he indulged a false sense of security, false because of the social, economic and political realities of the city he was in.Why do we always blame the victim? |
Sincere 9gerian: Thank you. I agree with you on the need for a swift justice system. This is a challenge for the present govt. The present situation where prosecution of corrupt persons last for like eternity is UNACCEPTABLE. I believe with continuous pressure, we'll get there. Most users on this forum result to ad hominems and it always obstructs any form of intellectual discourse. Well my arguement is very subjective as I type we have been running on gen in my house for 2months running, how do you think I'll feel hearing that our power generation increased by X Mw? The increase might be true but for me its not relevant to my issue. If the general populace starts experiencing dividends of democracy you question should be just a mere rhetorical question. Let me highlight another issue the Sure-P program, I know @least 20 of my friends that registered on the sure-p graduate internship program, one year running..not one have benefitted from the program. In the end the work of a government of continually improving the lives of the populace is a continual process,if indeed you assertion that corruption is decreasing then its a welcome development. As for governor Peter Obi I lack words, let me site a trivial example have you been to awka lately the town is now a huge refuse dump. Is that a sign of performing government? Awka used to be clean and tidy under Ngige. The money budgeted for sanitation how is being spent,if people in awka literally live in huge pills of dirt? David Mark still earns more than Barack Obama, GEJ asked us to accept petroleum price increase and still has refused to take a pay cut,Subsidy probe has now died a natural nigerian death, e.t.c The change goes from top to bottom,if our leaders allow nigerians to try the reverse polarity of change it'll only lead to mayhem. Also passing the buck that corruption didn't start with this admission is also admitting defeat that it probably won't end in this administration. 80's politicians were poor, can that be said about present politicians? Where David Mark bought a Ferari for a muscian, and Akwa Ibom's governor also a prado jeep for the same musician? Why didn't GEJ declare his assets in respect to equity and spirit of fight against corruption? I could go on and on,but it'll just spoil my mood and I sincerely want to enjoy this easter monday holiday. But for this your thread I have not commented on the state of Nigerian with anyone for 6years now because I have lost hope. And I think many other Nigerians have lost hope too. Again I commend your effort in trying to bridge the chasm between government and the governed |
@Sincere9gerian I commend your efforts at trying to establish an objective analysis on the level of corruption in Nigeria Nevertheless from the comments on this thread majority of Nigerians on this thread think corruption is on increase, that must really say something about Nigeria. Even though your arguments that preventing corruption is better than fighting corruption sounds good but I personally think that sending a strong message by the judiciary, that for every corrupt practise there will be a full and swift legal recompense will serve as a glaring deterrent to corruption and both should work in tandem. In the end the issue like one poster said corruption in Nigeria is very subjective as it depends on an individual's political affliation, position in the society and most importantly level of information on the topic God bless Sincere9gerian, God bless the federal republic of Nigeria and God bless our leaders and touch their hearts to know that rather than giving 2face a Ferari and a prado jeep that a lot of kids are hungry in this great nation. Peace out PS: A performing government does not need to spend money on image laundry, service delivery is an efficient spokesperson. |
From Armed robbery and kidnapping in the east and west to milatancy in the south and boko haram in the north.... If we don't address these issues we are going down as a nation. Our sELECTED leaders continue to fail us on an unprecedented scale |

MASSOB I laff in swahili even I as an Igbo man view them as fools, crooks and armed robbers |
Let me begin by saying that I am an Igbo man. The state of the abattoir at Agege is deplorable and to imagine that most of the meat cosumed in Lagos emanates from there is nightmarish. The environmental hazards that stems from the poor management of that facility are innumerable. Everyday I go there to buy meat I pay a toll of 20naira at the gate and I also know that there are other ways the management of that facility generates its revenue, why is the waste not properly managed? It doesn't take rocket science to know that when you operate an abattoir that waste like cow dung, blood, etc will always emanate on a daily basis. We need liberate ourselves from tribal bigotry and laud government effort especially when it is geared to improve the quality of lives of the populace. |
JeSoul: erm...Al Qaeda is sponsored by the US? Sorry oh oga, this your conspiracy theory get as e be. US foreign policy is indeed 'riddled with holes'...much like many many other countries. You'd be hard pressed to find a 'righteous' nation. The US is simply more visible so their shortcomings make headlines while everyone else is practically the same, it's just not publicized. The FSA has ties with extremists, alqueda fighters are very active in this war in syria against the present Legitimate secular government(. Of course most nations do evil for the greater good but the point is that America pretends to be a moral beacon to the rest of world, the hypocrisy is what bothers. It took ten years for CNN to admit that the Iraqi war was for money, but even as a secondary school student ten years ago I knew it was all propaganda. One other thing bothers me,why hasn't the US pushed for democracy in Saudi Arabia ? |
I have one question please, I am not a catholic so let me talk of what concerns christians in general. That model that poses as christ in pictures, how did christians come to conclusion that he is the replica of christ? |
Alfamann: ooman, please tell us the difference between guesswork and hypothesis. Are you seriously saying that hypothesis is the same thing as guesswork? I personally addressed this question on page4, I don't care why you guys are bickering but I care for science. |
thehomer: I think far more Christians here don't have a clue about how science works. You may or may not be right ,but the crux of the matter is that unlike christians (who believe by faith) most atheists claim they deducted that God is a myth through conclusions from science and logic, naturally you would expect such individuals to at least know the principles of basic science. |
I didn't manage my time and strategy in tracking down one betta chick like that wey come the interview...*cries*
