musiwa10: you people did not go to school. How do they calculate poverty..What's your point? |
Sharareporter is good at manufacturing ailments, I remember them claiming on several occasions that Patience was suffering from one ailment to another, every week a new ailment from a very reliable source. Now they are repeating same with Gov. Chime. I don't blame them, I blame these office holders that always claim hypocriticaly to be doing wonders in the education, health sectors etc and at the same time won't hesitate to fly overseas when they are in need of the same services they proclaimed to have put on ground. |

I have recently observed a changing trend among Nigerians as regards to our support for the Super Eagles. As a former die hard supporter of the Eagles I remembered how we took to the streets to celebrate the Dream Team's victory over Brazil at the semi final of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and repeated same when we won Argentina in the finals. I also remembered how we celebrated Nigeria's defeat of Spain at the group stage in France '98, and subsequently the mourning that followed our defeat in the knock out round. These strong emotional attachment to the Eagles by Nigerians I believe started fading by the second half of the last decade. Most Nigerians no longer care if we win or loose, qualifies or get knocked out. Some rather watch African Magic than watch Super Eagles play. The most surprising discovery I made from our matches against Burkina Faso and Zambia was that whenever the Eagles score, Nigerians no longer celebrates. The neighborhood remains very quiet as if nothing was going on. This doesn't not happen when Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Barca scores. This typifies the Nigerian problem, we import virtually everything that makes our life meaningful, and now our "collective happiness". Wish way Naija? |

Four dismissed soldiers, who were found guilty of misdemeanour involving rape and extortion by the authorities of the Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army, have appealed to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Azubuike Ihejirika, for clemency. The leader of the accused soldiers, a 33-year-old Akwa Ibom State-born Corporal, Nse (surname withheld), cried out tothe Ihejirika for mercy, saying he was pushed into the act by “the enemy.” The dismissed corporal, who was the leader of troops deployed to protect an Airtel mast at Wuse zone II, Abuja in December 2012, when the troops committed the crime saidhe was married and had two children. He said, “Please what happenedhas happened; this is the first time I am involved in such a thing. The Chief of Army Staff should please forgive us. Some of us have children; it is the handiwork of the enemy.” I am from Akwa Ibom, my name is Nse, I am 33 and married withtwo children: a boy and a girl; they should forgive us. This is the first time I have been involved in a thing like this.” http://www.punchng.com/news/soldiers-appeal-dismissal-over-rape/ |

Can these ex PDP members be trusted enough to handle critical assignment of this nature? ACN you better watch it. As for CPC, I can't imagine the party without Buhari. |
Boko Haram must have very strong presence in Kano for them to be carrying out these kind of operation without hindrance. |
eduson002: Just read ur post again and again u will know u made d least sence in this thread.Tell me any courier service dat is cheaper dan Nipost registered service.Don't mind him, he always crave to expose his ignorance |
Billyonaire: NIPOST should be scrapped. The era of government owned mailing system is gone. Its e-mailing and private courier. Government can no longer continue to fund NIPOST when there are alternative and cheaper, more reliable private courier and e-mailing alternatives. How much NIPOST dey generate for Nigeria sef. Abeg, make dem continue the strike for ever. And for those retired NIPOST people, they should proceed to their pensioners and get disengagement emoluments, all these arrears nonsense should stop. We already have too much recurrent expense on the budgets. |
tellwisdom: You are a disgrace to mankind and to the entire community where u sprang from....you should be honest to your country, nt acting like a fraud which Nigerian is known for...You and I know this gun isn't a real combat rifle, a well trained soldier shld have...believe me, I can slap a soldier with this woody gun in his hand...#wat a pity |
The AK47 still remains the most reliable combat assault rifle in service. Only M16 unsuccessfully tried to rival it. The Tavor holds some promises to supersede AK47 as combat weapon, but it still needs to go through series of tests to ascertain its combat readiness. |
In the spirit of the season, seun un-ban Nairalanders especially the Garri squad whose cause is legitimate. |
