Ihezuo, narrated that she initially went to the Arik airlines stand, but their plane was fully booked, so she headed for Dana Air where she joined a queue for the ticket.
“We were on the queue and it was my turn to buy the ticket. I was rummaging my bag to bring out money to pay for the ticket when two Chinese men who were behind me gave money to the cashier and paid for the remaining seats. I was very angry and their action generated a verbal exchange between my husband and the cashier.
“The Chinese men were not even sorry for their action, instead they and their girlfriends made jest of us, waving the tickets in the air and making fun of us; we were so annoyed and we decided to postpone the trip.”
She added that she had yet to reach the house when she got reports that the Dana plane had crashed.
The mother of four said that family members that were waiting for them at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos cried when they heard about the incident. They thought that both mother and daughter had perished in the crash.
She stated that her church members in Abuja also thought she had died until they were notified that she did not board the aircraft.
Ihezuo said, “Since the incident, I have just been thanking God because He was the one that kept us. I have been rolling on my knees in thanksgiving since last Sunday and my knees are sore,” she said as she lifted up her skirt to show her bruisedknees.
She stated that since she started flying about a year ago, the Dana flight was the first she would see that was fully booked, “I am familiar with most of the crew members because I have been patronising the airline for some time; I feel so bad for the crew and passengers.”
Ihezuo added she had purchased a luxurybus ticket for her mother who was going to stay with her eldest daughter at Festac, Lagos following her refusal to board a flight.

BENIN CITY-ANXIETY gripped students and staff of the Igbinedion University, Okada,in Edo State, after four medical students of the institution were reportedly abducted by suspected kidnappers yesterday.

Vanguard learnt that the students were picked up by the suspected kidnappers along the Okada Benin road, while on their way to Benin after sitting for an examination at the school campus.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Jide Olugbon, who confirmed the incident appealed to their abductors to spare the lives of the students.
According to him, “ it is shocking to us here really. I can tell you that on that very road robberies occur every other week. When robbery turns to abduction it becomes another thing entirely.

The lives of the students must not be jeopardized please and this is why we ought to do everything possible not to worsen a bad situation.”

The state police spokesman, Anthony Airhuoyo, who was contacted, said he was yet to be briefed by the DPO at Okada and promised to contactthe police in Okada.

I know this headline will make you wonder where I'm driving at, at first thought some of you will wonder what hunger has to do with the Dana Air Plane crash that resulted into the death of hundreds of Nigerians, well you will discover that as you continue to read.
First of all. the fact that nobody survived the Plane Crash is a big blow to the on-going investigations. President Goodluck Jonathan, alongside the AviationMinister have made promises to investigate the cause of the crash, and few reports about the events that happened before, during and after the plane crash occurred are already coming in. The important thing here however is that if somebody, at least one person survived the plane crash he/she would have told Nigerians what really happened, and that will go a long way to help prevent another crash in the nearestfuture.
But sadly. all 153 gone, not even a single person survived the crash, and what we all have to make use of are mere speculative efforts.
But some people should have survived the crash, if not for greed and hunger, which is the greatest problem many Nigerians have.
According to the reports of a Local newspaper, Speaking with a local Iju Ishaga resident, A resident of Iju Ishaga, Charles shared this with the press
Charles said he knew something was wrong as the plane started descending towards Toyin Street on Iju-Ishaga area ofLagos.
He said,
“Some people were playing football on Oju-Irin field not far from our house. I intended to join them but was on our balcony when I saw the plane fly low.
“I actually thought it was going down before it got to our area because it dipped.Suddenly, it liftedup again before crashing into the building close to our house.
Charles said everybody on his streetrushed to the scene but nobody knew what to do.
He said moments later, he realised that some hoodlums had started making attempts to loot at the crash site.
He said, “After some time, we saw a white man (Chinese) come out of thecrash site. One of his legs seemed tobe badly damaged as if it had been burnt.
“Immediately people saw him, some people rushed at him and some were asking him questions. A big crowd had gathered at the time. Everybody was just looking at him; nobody attempted to help him.
“He fell down after that and died. I think he hit his head on a metal because blood was streaming down the side of his head.”
Now, if you can understand what you just read above, you will start coming in termswith the headline of this post, some Nigerians, ( hoodlums ) were busy making attempts to loot the crash site, few minutes after a plane just crashed? How Inhuman is that? Is that how greedy and hungry Nigerians are? Instead of thinking of ways to help the plane crash victims who were still screaming foe help, few minutes after the crash before the plane exploded, some Nigerians were looting the belongings of the plane crash victims instead, why will you do that?
Definitely if the Chinese man was given first aid, he could have survived, but due to the high illiteracy in Nigeria, nobody among the crowd gathered at the crash site thought of first aid, because it took the emergency team about 30 minutes later to arrive. They just watched him die and did nothing. while others were lootingthe crash site.
I watched a reality scene on cable TV recently, an American man (who is a gangstar) called the police to save a neighbour's CAT! and about 2 minutes later a rescue ambulance and police cars rescued the poor pet. Imagine the rapid and immediate response to save a Cat, and also the role played by the gangstar neighbour. Now when will Nigerians learn to make things work?
A 10-year-old boy also told our correspondent he saw the plane go down. The plane’s wing, he said, cuta tree down and the tree fell on two cows in the area.
The boy, Aanu Fashola, said some residents immediately started cutting up the cows after the plane crashed, adding that people tried to loot at the crash site .
Now this boy's account of what happened is in agreement to the one you earlier read, but he even adding more, A wing ofthe plane cut off down a tree and the tree fell on cows in the area killing them, while the victims were screaming for helpbefore the plane exploded, some residents of Iju were more interested in fighting for COW MEAT that was brought down by the wing of the plane as it fell.

We all have to fight CORRUPTION, GREED, HUNGER and IGNORANCE .
On the other hand, why should you blamethose Nigerians that were interested in looting the area and fighting for cow meatinstead of trying to save the crash victims?
Many Nigerians live below $1 they need to fight for their own survival before they rescued others perhaps? maybe many of them haven't eaten for 3 days.
Nigerians are hungry and Greedy and this will be revealed even more as the Families of victims of the Dana air crash on Sunday have been assured of due compensation.
According to the management staff of Dana Airline, Francis Ugboro, he told newsmen in Lagos that the airline management alongside its insurance companies were working out modalities tocompensate affected families.
A representative of the insurance company, Otunba Yomi Osikoya said families affected will be compensated as soon as possible.
The compensation
’’The airline was required to pay a sum of $30, 000 as an initial payment within 30 days of the accident, but the law imposes the sum of $100,000 on injury or death, but with a legal connotation,’’ he said.
Now $100,000 is about N15.4 Million Naira, now you just watch how some family members will fight for that money.
Hunger and Greed remains a big problem.

I am responding to the rumor mongers because of the involvement of the script writers of those that wish to heat up the polity of Nigeria at every event or given opportunity. Like they have always done, using every opportunity to make Nigeria ungovernable. Why would a group of people in different disguises want to play politics with this sad event just to get back to political rivals or superiors?


This morning, reports from one Ade Atobatele....Information Technology and Services has filtered the air. Don't know which of the firms that is, claimed that the Dana Airline misfortune was caused by the closure of airspace for the first lady's aircraft. He was quoted as saying he was informed by a pilot of a private Jet that also had to hover in the air for 2 hours 15mins before the airspace opened for landing. He has conned his story that the social, electronic and print media has started reporting it without verifying his source.
Let Ade Atobatele (if he does exist) and Nigerians know that the Nigerian Air space can only be closed for 10 minutes only when an Aircraft conveying the President approaches an airport and 10 minutes after landing. A total accumulation of 20 minutes by regulations. And let Ade and Nigerians also note that the Air space can never be closed for an aircraft conveying the first lady or any other individual in Nigeria. Let Nigerians know that regulations gives a code red preference to any aircraft on "May Day" (in danger) distress against any other aircraft even if it's presidential. A presidential will be asked to divert towards a military airbase in case of a conflict in interest of landing. As we are aware, flight 0992 had called for MAY DAY 11mins before its ETA (estimated time of arrival) at 11 mins, the aircraft had prepared for landing. No aircraft is allowed to prepare for landing in an airspace that is closed. 20mins to landing, an aircraft as large as the boeing MD-83 can only commence descend from its cruise altitude.
Where then is the logic in Ade's story?
Let Ade also take note that the traffic control unit at the airport has confirmed that the air space was actually closed for 15mins for the Dana Air flight 0992 to perform an emergency landing before the unfortunate incidence.
Please I admonish all readers to disregard the allegation against the office and person of the First lady in their attempt to incite Nigerians.
Remember not to act or play part of the script written by those that promised to make Nigerian.
While we all pray that the Good Lord grants Nigerians and most especially the families of those that lost their lives to the sad incident the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Allegations.

"Is there any way of getting confirmation about news I'm just getting that the Dana plane was distressed for a while but could not make an emergency landing because the airspace was closed for 2 hours for - the Presidential Jet carrying Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan.

Private jet owners who had to hover in the air same time leaked this. This was apparently the reason local news didn't report the crash for so long till CNN and foreign news stations started reporting it.

Local news was 'blacked out' trying to kill the story of the airspace being closed while a distressed plane couldn't land. It would be shocking if so.

Though there was engine failure there was still time for the plane to have landed apparently. You do know anyway that the airspace is closed for up to 2hours each time the Presidential Jet needs to go into the air? 2 hours for a 15minute take off or landing! And this jet is used by President, VP, President's wife and if I recall David Mark. It's almost a daily occurrence I've been told by airline staff when it caught me out on a trip."

Prophet Samuel Olawale Kogberegbe , Primate and founder of The Holy Michael Church of the Lord (Aladura), Cherubim & Seraphim, Ori Oke Olorun Esan Cathedral, Ikotun Egbe Road, Egbe, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, has said he has been sleeping inside a coffin for over forty years now.
Prophet Kogberegbe, who spoke as part of activities to mark the church’s 50th anniversary which holds on Sunday, 3 June, 2012, said he had slept in the coffinto remind himself of life’s vanity and that one day, he would die.
He said his action was also to teach Nigerians to be conscious about death and thus change their negative ways of life.
“I believe that death is certain and I am going to end in that coffin,” he said while pointing to the coffin on the ground.
Kogberegbe also declared that former President Olusegun Obasanjo was correct to have called Nigerian lawmakers armed robbers at a function in Lagos recently.
The octogenarian posited that Obasanjo’s description of the country’s lawmakers as armed robbers was correct in every senseof reasoning, noting that the lawmakers do not have any feeling for the suffering masses who voted for them.
He also warned church leaders to abstain from evil practices, claiming that only through this would they be able to salvage the country.
Kogberegbe advised them to stop runningafter politicians and men in power and assuring them of peace when such leaders trample on the suffering masses without having any feelings for them. TheOyo state-born Kogberegbe said further that Nigeria is a great nation but had bad leaders and that this was the major reason for the country’s challenges.

The dreams of a happy marriage shattered!!! Because of the alleged rape, her fiancé subsequently cancelled the wedding plan, saying he cannot marry her again.
The incident happened at a popular guesthouse in their area where the suspects tricked her and raped her in turns.
The police in Ikotun division have arrested two of the suspects identified as Benson and Ismali while Efe Oguntuwase who allegedly master minded it and involving two of his friends escaped.
They are now facing charges for the alleged conspiracy and rape at Ejigbo Magistrate’s court, Lagos.
The police brought Benson and Ismali to be arraigned before the presiding Magistrate, Mrs M B Folami who ordered the police to take them back to the station and bring them back the next day.
The victim narrated what transpired before she fell victim.
She lamented that she has lost her fiancéwho has now cancelled the wedding and told her that he was no loner interested in the relationship.
She said she lives in the same area with Efe, who is popular in that area of Ikotun where he approached her for relationship.
She said she explained to him that it was not possible because she was already engaged and they were preparing for wedding.
She said Efe left after several attempts towoo her failed and she did not suspect hewas planning any bad thing against her.
She said she was going home last week when Efe, who was sitting in front of the guest house near her house called her and she went to answer him, unknown to her he had planned to rape her.
She said she thought he had a serious message for her but was surprised when he forcefully dragged her into one of the chalets.
She said while she was resisting him, Benson and Ismali surfaced and threatened to kill her if she resisted and raised any alarm.
She became helpless and because of the threat she obeyed them and they took turns to rape her.
The matter was reported to the police and the two suspects were arrested whileEfe escaped.

A lecturer in the department of Public Administration of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Dr. Gambo Abdul has been arrested for allegedly seducing a male student Abubakar Abdulkareem to be his gay partner.

According to LEADERSHIP , the student Abubakar had severally rebuffed the advances of the lecturer who wanted him to be his gay partner but became agitated when the lecturer threatened to fail him if he refused to succumb.


It was gathered that based on the threat from the lecturer who is from Minna, that Abubakar reported the case to his parents about the move by the lecturer and the inherent threat to his academic pursuit.
Consequently, it was learnt that the family of the student decided to investigate further and later found out that their son’s claim was true.

It was further gathered that the student was instructed to play along last weekend when the said lecturer invited Abubakar into one of the suites in an hotel located at eastern bye pass Minna.

It was learnt that when the boy met the lecturer at the hotel the lecturer wanted to make advances to him, without knowing that police officers were stationed within the area. The lecturer was apprehended and taken to Chanchaga police division.

Abubakar told newsmen that his ordeal with the lecturer started over two years ago when he was doing his Diploma programme at the university, before he gained admission for his degree programme.

He explained that the said lecturer was initially like his caretaker which was why he was close to him, but only decided to stay away from him when he started to make illicit advances towards him.

He said when the situation was getting to a level of threat, especially to fail him, because he was in his department, he decided to report to his family, leading to his arrest.

When contacted, the police public relations officer, PPRO, Mr. Pius Edobo, a DSP confirmed the incident to reporters, saying that the case would be charged to court, even as the police continue with its investigations.
