People really grow fast these days and I can bet a couple are the ages they claim to be. In my 400L, my classmates visited my home for the 1st time @ Easter and were bowing to greet my younger brother who was then only jes 14 but is over 6ft and weighs abt 100kg. He also had small beards too. |

It was school day as usual and he was taking the kid to school. We all know how some kids find going to school every morning as hell and cry vehemently in protest. So that was how this boy was crying the morning he about to be taken to school. The Father carried the little boy and put him in the back seat and shut the door. Unfortunately the door caught the boy's hand and his crying increased. The father didn't bother to look back as his crying was habitual. He drove for over five minutes only for him to look back and find the boy and the car filled with blood. His hand was badly damaged with his tender bones crushed too. Hearing the story gave me goosebumps. I pray he heals fast. It's good we pay detailed attention to our kids. |
Today is the 1st time ever I witnessed a strike action of any form. It happened at the University of Ibadan where I went for my Postgraduate clearance, having traveled all the way from Warri the previous day for the clearance. The NASU there, is protesting unpaid allowances. There was a total lock down in the school. Right from the gate as vehicles were not allowed to go in or out. Only the pedestrian gate was open. The PG school and all offices were also shut too. I finished from University of Ilorin and not for one day did the school go on strike. It felt so weird and funny to me. At the same time I feel pained for this one day old strike considering the trip I had to make. Now I have to return without achieving anything. I was really privileged to have attended a "Federal Private University" that never goes on strike. Now I have had a taste of what other federal universities feel on my 1st day. Here are photos I took;

He couldn't have driven from France to Belgium cos he was @ his mother's funeral over the weekend in Nigeria. So use ur brain. quote author=Dahveydson post=38877865] He drove from France to belgium, sometimes have facts before you spill ignorance. He's pompous? After 13 years of service to Nigeria, he's pompus? Nigerians are quite funny. One serves his country for 13 years, loses one's mother, comes to the team and he's disgracefully stripped of his captainship and you say he's pompus. Mr Humility I greet you.[/quote] |

It was a very sunny day as I drove from Port harcourt to Ughelli, and as usual I stopped at the the roadside stalls on the highway to buy foodstuff(usually prawns and plantain). Surprisingly I saw tortoises of various sizes hanging on from the wooden sheds. I got so curious as I have heard of people eating it and I had never tasted it. So I decided to price one small one, which I eventually bought for #1500. I happily put it in my booth anticipating what delicacy I wud prepare with it. How to kill it and remove shell now became the next issue, I've only heard of about people removing the shell with very hot water. Luckily for I found someone who was going to kill but instead of using hot water, the tortoise was heated on a stove to make it easy to remove the meat out of the shell. That was how I made Banga soup with with tortoise. Unfortunately I don't have photo of the soup but I have the picture of the tortoise and the killing process Even though all my friends criticized me for eating it, claiming it was an endangered species, I must confess I really enjoyed my Banga soup cooked with tortoise meat(Kinda tasted like chicken)

Trash! Private schools that are seriously looking 4 profit. Let over 200 of them protest. I dare the school to expel them. Mtchewww. They may just single out one or two persons and say they led the protests. |
seankay:Nigeria's assembly runs a bilateral House, the upper and lower chambers. They both pass bills but the Senate handles more serious matters. Also, there is more representation reaching the pple more via the constituencies. The lower chamber is expected to bring matters of importance from it constituencies for federal attention. |

RIP to the Dead...... But on a lighter note I've been trying to get a job with that oil company, but everytime they keep telling me oil prices are falling and they are downsizing. So I am waiting for the obituaries of the ones that have died so I can attach it to my application to strengthen it. I hope I get lucky this time. |

In our daily life dealings what tribe do think is the most "yabbed" among the tribes in Nigeria? Tribes get "yabbed" for various reasons e.g. Igbos for their love of money and ambassador for fake things, Hausas for their accent and high level of illiterates, Yorubas for their dirtiness and loud mouth without action. Share yours and let's find out what tribes are the most "yabbed" |
