Hi guys, where can I repair my radiator and cooling system on the island. The corolla has been consuming coolant lately and I noticed that the temperature gauge has now gone from a little below the middle mark to above the mark and finally it started overheating and drying out coolant. I had to pour water the other day after it completely dried out and the temperature kept going up and down depending on my speed. Today after going to airport and back from Lekki, no issues and the water level level remained the same but I noticed a gurgling sound from the radiator. How I can I fix this to prevent further occurrence and get the temperature back to below the middle mark. |
Good evening House, I noticed that my coolant was gradually going down and I topped it twice, then today it started overheating and when I stopped, there was small coolant in the reservoir and practically none in the radiator. Before now, I have checked for leaks or evap and noticed none. After the incident today, with water in the reservoir and the radiator, the temperature kept rising and I had to keep stopping for it to cool down. The temperature also rises with speed. What could be the problem, water pump? Leaking hose, heat not escaping from the engine? Please what can be the issue and where can I fix it in a pocket friendly way at the island |

kala111:Check the oil sensor. If it's faulty, it won't tell the oil pump when to pump fuel, leading to the oil light blinking intermittently. It's also possible, you have sludge on the engine, blocking the sensor from doing its work. My 2cents |

I remember taking uber from Alapere to Domino pizza ogudu Road and we were 4 in number, my guys who came from outside Lagos shock that it was just 500 with the AC. Meanwhile bike is 200 per person. I support the price increase for who get money to pay. |

Hello House, what is the cause of Honda civic 2010 loosing power and almost going off when one put on the AC. The issue started on Friday, everything was working fine till I wanted to start the car in the afternoon and it couldn't start. Eventually a mechanic did some work and said its a sensor which he changed and everything was working fine till today when the car will loose so much power once the AC is on. How can it be remedied |
solaiphones:It's original but forget that 4.5kw, it can't even carry 1.5hp water pump. That gen is simply 2.5kva. But it's fuel efficiency is superb, the 15liters fuel tank will last almost 30hrs and it has low sound. Carried my 100l chest freezer and fridge with other house appliances simultaneously and effortlessly. But not for water pump. I've not tried AC sha |

Govt Lacks Power To Issue Road Worthiness Certificate And Demand Levy Thereon from Private vehicles — Court Of Appeal Rules. The Court of Appeal sitting at Asaba has just affirmed the judgment of the High Court, Ughelli declaring that the Delta State government lacks the power to authorize and demand the payment of levy and issuance of Road Worthiness Certificate in respect of private vehicles. Justice Joseph Eyo Ekanem On 12th March 2021, while delivering the judgment in appeal NO: CA/B/333/2017, stated that he found no merit in the Appeal and therefore affirmed the decision of the trial court. According to the Certified True Copy of the judgment sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer, the Court further stated that “Before drawing the curtain on this judgment, I need to remind public bodies and public officers that a public body or public officer vested with statutory power must take care not to exceed or abuse its or his power. It or he must keep within the limits of the authority committed to it. This is to prevent arbitrariness and the rule of man rather than the rule of law. The Vehicle Inspection Officers went beyond the powers vested in them by the Law and the RTR by violently stopping the private vehicle of the Respondent on a public highway using menacing tactics and dangerous implements to demand a certificate of roadworthiness which the said vehicle is not required to have. Such conduct sends a wrong signal to the citizens who may adopt such strong-arm tactics as a means of settling disputes.” The court also holds that a private motor vehicle is a motor vehicle belonging to a particular person or which is for the use of a particular person or group in carrying their personal effects and not for public use or for hire or reward and it will be absurd and completely illegal to impound a private motor vehicle for not having or carrying hackney license or stage carriage license because it is provided as two of the particulars for which any vehicle may be impounded for not having. The Appeal Court, therefore, awarded the cost of N200,000 against the Appellants. The Welfare Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association and a human rights lawyer, Kunle Edun, had in 2014 brought an action against the Governor of Delta State, the Attorney of the state and the Senior Vehicle Inspector Officer, Ughelli North Local Govt Area, Delta for asking him to produce a valid Road Worthiness Certificate for his private vehicle, when there is no provision of law in the state for such certificate. Kunle Edun in his Summons noted that the said certificate is required for commercial transporters or haulage. The trial Court having gone through their pleadings noted that the Road Traffic Law of the state does not confer on them the right to demand and /or collect any fee/ levy or issue certificate of Road Worthiness in respect of vehicles used for private purposes. The court also noted that the money collected by the Defendants to the issuance of the said certificate was illegal and a violation of the provision of the Road Traffic Law (CAP R9) Law of Delta State, 2008. The trial court, therefore, awarded the cost in the sum of N100,000 against the Defendants in favour of Kunle Edun. |

Been long I came here. I don't think those elepaq '4.5'kva gen they sell in jumia are good. First they are not 4.5, just 2.5kva. The guys at Blenco Supermarket showed me the differences. Secondly the image is not clear enough to know if they're original. I went to alaba last month and original is from 120k, at ebute meta, it's from 120-125k You need to physically see the gen you are buying. Don't buy those short coil types, buy the long coil and make sure elapaq or constant is inscribed(not pasted o) on the fuel tank, engine block and other places. The jumia advert does not show a these |
Kingdemu:Same issue I had with my elepaq 1800 after leaving it in the rain for 18 months, the black smoke will soon choke the engine because it will cover the engine block and exhaust manifold and will refuse to start. Plan to buy new generator. I had the same problem and after repairs, I ringed it, since then the gen has not been itself, later the coil was affected. Find a way to repair it, go to yaba and sell to second hand sellers. Once the coil has been worked on, those second hand sellers will know and won't buy from you. I don't recommend ringing any engine. It's either you manage your oil shortage or leave it. The money you'll spend ringing it will not be financially proportional to the number of times you'll use it before other issues crop up. Same with car, never ring a car engine! |
Readonee35L:Really? Now I know why popsy's engine blew. We changed the engine and there was no fault with the gear and car still moves like his. Funny enough I'm the one that connected him to the mechanic. I will take the Camry to the mechanic before I leave Awka. @Mendy31, is it the same mechanic I recommended that fixed it? Gazzuz, I've forgotten the thread where I asked you about 1Z and 2Z engine. We went ahead with the 1z engine in place of the 2z after the seller at mgbuka refused to collect it back. Those guys at Stanel refused to fix but I insisted and its been working fine anyway. I googled and realised the 1z engines were made for Asian spec camry while the 2z was for North America. The major difference is the size of the piston. The 1z was smaller |
radautoworks:How much is your oil change biko. Most mechanics now too de drag for 3k. |
Bammzzie:Too poor. There's this company at Ajah that goes to East with camry spider. They charge 25k per person. Three people only and they leave Ajah between 5-5:30, before 3pm, you're at Enugu. I don't know what car you use, but assume fuelling to and fro 20-25k Food and police 10k Car maintenance after trip 5k Profit, 10-15k for two days. |
godsonn97:It might be a clogged Catalyst. See the link below. https://www.nairaland.com/3743541/ask-gazzuzz/348 |

Mendy31:I can see you just descended from Aroma Bridge. There's a guy, the chief engineer at Stanel before he left to establish his own workshop, he'll easily fix this. Stanel workshop is now dead! Too much book knowledge only mechanics |
