You made it sound as if his latter offense is worse than the former.

Long story short, he abused his political office. He should've known better, that his action is a serious offense, not only in Canada, but in most developed countries. Irony is, this same guy, a staunch IPOB supporter, has been busy criticizing politicians in Nigeria for corruption and abuse of power etc, alas he proved to be no different. As the 1st black person to serve as minister for Municipal affairs in the redneck province of Alberta, he's now disgraced black people in Canada.
